I happened into this fabric store while accompanying a friend who was looking for upholstery fabric. While browsing I came upon an exquisite textile that I envisioned would look lovely as pillow shams and bed scarf for my own bedroom. The couple who own the store have been in the business for at least 50 years and are extraordinarily knowledgable about how to proceed with the project- as were then people that they have trained over the years. As a matter of fact all the people who assisted in the choices and recommendations were gracious and helpful in bringing about the final project. The issue of customer service is a two way street. Personalities interact in many ways as does caring, consideration and respect. My project was finished quickly and expertly and looks fabulous-- just as I envisioned. And its amazing to be served by folks who truly know what they are doing- despite what might be quirky on any given day. A life long commitment to fabric and fabrications is much more than you would find in any chain store. A "Mom and Pop" operation carries its own charm and were fortunate to have a little taste of that old world commitment here in Tucson. BTW, my friends upholstered bench was also completed expeditiously with great results!

Went for the first time after reading the reviews....This place has a huge selection of items to choose from so bring your tennis shoes because you will walk through room after room of products. I was cautious because of the negative comments but I found the people to be very pleasant. One of the owners is an older gentleman, he knows what he is talking about and very direct and to the point, to the point of telling instead of asking but he sits in a chair by the desk and puts in his comments.....its just manner and given his age its really okay. You just have to have a bit of understanding and respect for his long years. His wife is soo pleasant and everyone else was so willing to help....they were busy with other customers, but if you let them know that you are in need of help you get it, especially from the adults there. The younger people are helpful but the people who own and have been in the business kick it up in service and knowledge. Give it a try, keeping in mind that the older gentleman has been there a long time and deserves respect, If he tells you, you dont want that, and you really do no harm done =) Hes a good guy once you start talking to him...and the rest well they are just so helpful and informative.

I am always looking to support local businesses and in the process of decorating my home, I was looking forward to having some custom drapes made. My experience here was awful, I have never been treated in such a manner regarding customer service. The lady I requested a quote from took my name and number and said she was too tired to help me at the moment and she would call me eventually. She also stated that the fabric I want is not something she would want to look at everyday and that she has been in the business for 60 years therefore my opinion doesnt matter. I even read the reviews before I came and thought I would give it a shot since it is on my way home, boy was I wrong.

I love that this is a family owned and run store and they have a huge selection. However, I have been into the store several times and only one of the women has been friendly to me. The older man is only nice to me when I have been with my husband, not when I am alone. He actually told the woman who was helping me to help another couple because my 6 yards of fabric was not important and I was taking too long. I have also heard one of the employees complain that she could not eat her lunch because the customers kept "bothering" her. If they worked on their customer service and stopped looking at their customers as annoyances, it would be a better store at which to shop.

We purchased fabric and asked for a referral to an upholstery business. We paid several hundred dollars up front, which we understood to be a down payment for the upholstery work. The store owners were not explicit (clearly OUR mistake) about the money but who charges several hundred dollars for a referral in Tucson? We later learned that the store owners took this money for themselves for the referral and never passed a dime to the upholsterer. Will NEVER purchase another inch of fabric from this store.

I went in to look and select some fabric for my antique chair for my partner and I. I couldnt believe the service! The woman who owns this store was just darn right rude and her son cant do anything without her permission, so nothing ever gets done. Hes 50ish and still tied to her apron! The place is disorganized, dirty and needs a make over. Sometimes its nice to find little holes in the wall, but this one really has holes in the walls!

I love this fabric store. It is like nothing else in Tucson. They not only have a tremendous fabric selection but they also have an incredibly knowledgeable staff. They helped me find exactly what I was looking for. I also was pleased to find out that they are able to actually make my draperies when I am ready! If you are looking for home related fabrics and a great staff this is the place for you!

A magnificent fabric store I have ever observed! The place is not dirty, instead, extremely warm, and due to the amount of fabric, they offer it is difficult to keep it organized! That is precisely what makes it so dazzling and agreeable!! MHS & More llc
