This is EXLUSIVELY for the Provo location. I have had a good experience with the Murray location so far! I have lived near the provo store for 6 years, and as an avid crafter, have had to go there for various things over the years. I say, HAD TO, because I avoid it at all cost. They have really unpleasant customer service, with some of them being completely rude. I cant say all, because there are a couple nice ladies, but they definitely dont have a friendly atmosphere. Theyre pretty typical pricing as far as quilting shops go. I have found good quality knits there on sale for an ok price, although they usually have a very small selection. I have had TWO really negative and embarassing experiences there, and both of my sisters have had really bad experiences as well. We are NOT overdemanding or rude costumers, I try to always be patient and accomodating with customer service, so both times I came out of the store really bewildered saying to myself "HOW did that happen!?" So go there if you must, but avoid if you can.

The Provo Cotton Shop is my FAVORITE place for ideas, fabric, notions, machines, classes, and customer service! The cashiers are experienced, friendly and very helpful. Sometimes the Shop is quite busy, but when checking out, each customer receives personalized attention. The Shop usually always has exactly what Im looking for, but if they dont, theyll tell me the best store to visit to find what I need. Their sales and coupons beat Joanns almost every time. The classes are amazing! I always receive one-on-one attention specific to my needs and questions.

Amazing. My friend and I went in yesterday (Tuesday Nov. 22) to get some things sewn and embroidered. The staff was not only kind and helpful, they went above and beyond and did the sewing for us! They also had everything we needed... and we needed some very particular items... Ive gone to Jo-Anns in the past but as long as I live in Provo, Ill be going to the Cotton Shop for my sewing, threading and fabric needs!

I bought a sewing machine here and love it! It came with a free class to teach me about the machine which was very informative! My only problem is that when you come to buy something the staff are often inattentive and you have to work to get help when they seem to just be talking to each other. But when they do help you they are very knowledgeable so I still came back.

Decent prices. They have the best price on denim in the county. Sub-par customer service. Employees are pretty unfriendly and unpleasant, which isnt a huge deal, it just makes for an uncomfortable shopping experience. My least favorite part is that they have the most inadequate point of sale system. It always takes at least twenty minutes to check out.
