Love Love LOVE this place! <3 <3 <3 I have taken multiple classes here. First one I took was the beginning sewing class. I made a very cute tote bag using the in-house fabric. I laughed out loud when I found the lining fabric for my bag, it has mice of all kinds on it, some riding bicycles, some holding balloons and then there were the Three Blind Mice! Turned out so cute. Class was taught by Laura and she is wonderful. Made me feel right at ease. She gave each person personal attention and was constantly checking on us to make sure we felt comfortable with what we were doing. Highly recommend her as a teacher. I also took the Lantern Bag class, name of the teacher is escaping me right now, but she was good. She let me adjust the length of the bag straps to be longer. Also I chose canvas instead of the thinner cotton fabric. The teacher again just rolled with it - the fabric was quite stiff so I didnt have to do the iron on facing portion. Turned out great! Also took the Learn to Crochet class, taught by Laura. By the end of the night I had learned the skills needed to crochet a scarf. If you are going to take this class, I recommend using a lighter colored yarn. I chose dark grey, and it was kind of difficult to see. All the women that work here are so friendly. I am really comfortable coming here, which is nice because so far I have attended all the classes by myself. Tip: I highly recommend going at least a half an hour early if you need to pick fabric. Especially if this is your first time sewing. There is lots to choose from! With the class discount I paid about $10 each for my materials for the tote bag and Lantern bag. Getting here also enables you to park directly in front of the store, and not have to park around the corner in front of the apartment building or across the street. If you are taking a crochet or knitting class during the winter - where you will be sitting at the table by the front window - I highly recommend wearing something warm. It got a bit chilly during the class.

I have taken three classes with Fabric Bliss over the last month (Intro to Sewing, Intro to Quilting and Pinafore Dress) and I have to say that all of the classes have been amazing. Aurora and Laura have been wonderful teachers and fun to learn from and talk to. Seeing as we spend several hours together during class, it helps that they are so sweet and amazing. Their great personality and sense of humor only aids the learning process. Ive also had great customer service from every associate Ive encountered, whether its just purchasing supplies for class or with seeking advice on projects I am working on outside of class. I will continue to be a patron of Fabric Bliss and eager check for new classes. Looking forward to Shuttle Tatting and Serger classes, along with the plethora of other classes like kids cargo pants and their dress lab! So much fun to be had and so little time! Thank you everyone at Fabric Bliss for being so wonderful with such a newbie as myself.

If you have a sewing machine at home and have no idea how to use it or have somewhat of an idea but want some real instruction on the correct way to use it, the Intro to Sewing class is for you! Aurora (the owner and our instructor yesterday evening) was amazing at guiding us all, step-by-step, towards creating adorable reversible tote bags! I went with my girlfriend (a fellow stay at home mom), and it was the perfect way to spend a girls night out! I would also definitely recommend buying your supplies at the shop (for this class we only needed 2 pieces of fabric). You can buy it right before class, at a discounted price for students, and her selection of fabrics are awesome! I cannot wait to sign up for more classes (knitting & crocheting are at the top of my list!). All of the projects look adorable! LOVE this shop and I would highly recommend it to people of all ages!

I took the Intro to Sewing tote bag class with Laura and it was well worth the money. I had made quilts and sewn Halloween costumes before taking the class, so some part of me kept thinking "I could probably look this up on youtube for free," but by the end of the class I was really glad I took it. There was no getting stuck, no ripping things out, no mistakes. She did a great job of checking everyones project after each step to make sure our final product turned out well and she really whipped us through the project! It felt fast-paced but even my friend who had never touched a sewing machine before in her life turned out a gorgeous little tote complete with canvas lining, gusset corners, and sturdy straps. Now I think I can make 10 more of these bags no problem. She also emailed out the instructions for the bag after the class was over! How helpful!

Fabric Bliss is amazing! Ive taken two classes there so far- the Intro to Knitting Hats and the PJ Pants class and loved them both. The classes are small, you get loads of one on one attention, and I felt really accomplished after both. Some extra bonuses- they offer you drinks and your teacher will spend as long as necessary with you. Honestly both classes I felt like I was at a friends house rather than a formal class. They are also incredible flexible and helpful- after catching pneumonia I had to reschedule a few classes which they were very understand and nice about. The shop itself is very cute with reasonable prices- I will definitely be going back to this hidden gem:)

Ive taken 2 classes so far (Intro to Sewing and Intro to Quilting) and have signed up for 1 more (Oilcloth beach bag). The classes are very well organized, and the instructors are friendly and patient with your questions. The people that sign up for these classes are not entirely sociable, so the classes arent a good place to make friends, but thats ok - 2 to 3 hours later and youve learned how to make something new on your own! For a relatively small store, they have a good selection of most everything youd need for a beginners project, with fun fabrics to choose from, and reasonable prices. Will definitely be back for another class and some shopping.

Had a lovely intro to knitting class with Megan.. She was awesome.. I used to knit, but it has been many years ago.. My memory of knitting came back to me, but it was different from what Megan was teaching.. She was able to adjust what she does, to help me get back in to knitting.. It was a small class and she was able to give individual help to all of us.. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because I felt like they had some issues with supplies... They were out of the knitting needles she wanted us to use.. And I felt a limited supply of yarn.. But, still, a great spot to learn how to knit!! Peggy

I was trying to surprise my wife by redoing her favorite chair. Unfortunately that required sewing (something I havent done in 30 years!!!!) I found Fabric Bliss on line and stopped in to see if they could help as I didnt own a sewing machine. They were MORE than friendly, the set me up on a machine and taught me the basics and checked in every now and then as I worked on my project. Under their supervision my project turned out AWESOME and they were as excited as I was about the finished product!!! This place is a gem and Id recommend it to anyone who "gets in over their head" as I did!!
