Normally Id give Xtreme Bean a higher rating such as 4 or 5 stars, however my most recent experience here has showed me that their staff is not as friendly as one might think from previous reviews. The good parts: When I first started going to Xtreme Bean for coffee about a year ago there was this really nice guy that ensured all customers left happily with their coffee and requested food items. I thought he was the owner or manager because he was working just about every day. Service was excellent at this point in time and I didnt have a negative thing to say at all. In fact, one day the guy saw me eying a slice of turtle cheesecake but noticed I requested a cookie. I paid for the cookie and broke a piece off only to notice it tasted stale. I asked the man when the cookies were made and he said something like "last night/this morning". I told him that was odd and described the flavor I had experienced. Rather than giving me a different cookie, he gave me the slice of cheesecake at no extra charge. Excellent service (and the cheesecake was delicious)! This was the reason I continued going to Xtreme Bean, not in the hopes of free/lower priced treats, but the service and caring their employees offered. The bad: I dont know what happened to that guy or if he still works in the valley even. New employees now work the counter and most days they are polite and friendly. Never had issues... until today. I pulled into the drive through line and couldnt hear them on the speaker so I turned off my car and asked the lady to repeat herself after explaining the sound of my car had drowned her out twice. She asked me to pull up to the window. I tried one of the drip coffees (my normal order is Columbian roast with cream and sugar but I also enjoyed the Ethiopian drip coffee). They didnt have Columbian so I tried their medium-dark drip they had in its place. The flavor was a bit bold for me so I went with a white mocha and an everything bagel with veggie cream cheese. The espresso drink was pretty good. The bagel, burnt to a crisp with plain cream cheese *I didnt notice until I had arrived at my destination and couldnt go back*. The lady at the window that made my coffee and let me try the drip was sweet. She had green hair and I think Ive seen her before. The blonde lady behind her had a serious attitude today for some reason. While waiting at the window, I noticed a sign that read "Weed Need 5s and 1s or Credit ONly! Sorry for the inconvence!" This sign was written in green marker to make matters worse. After posting it on Snapchat and laughing to myself a little, I decided to call and inform them that something was wrong with their sign. The blonde lady answered the phone. I informed her that "Wed" was spelled incorrectly (I didnt add that "inconvenience" was also misspelled) and didnt want my favorite coffee spot to get shut down over a tiny mistake, she laughed about it and stated they had "some bright ones" working for them. I tried to have her take a look at it and fix it but she retorted with "Are you done?!" To which my calm response was "Yeah, just wanted to let you know. Have a nice-" She hung up on me after ending with "Great. Bye!" At this point in time, I dont think I will return to Xtreme Bean Coffee as there is nothing there I cant find at another coffee shop. Dutch Bros, Starbucks, and Cartel all have better service and offer pretty much the same things.

huge menu, huge space, lots of good healthy food, huge patio, open late, bank vault quiet study room, great place to get laptop work done, I have been a daily customer since 1993, and will probably continue indefinitely. the only problem is that the customers trash the patios, chain smoking clouds and small dunes of ash drifting around outside. Also people camp out there alot, so you will be asked for money or cigarettes if you sit outside... and a historically sketchy separate bathroom building situation (ask for the key) that you want to avoid. Still, the best overall coffee shop in town, despite the neighborhood problems, and to be fair, the shop is always trying new ways to fix the problems, and clean the messes, its not their fault the neighborhood is kind of always in transition.

Went today for the first time. I usually sit at the bus stop right in front of it and there are dozens of rats in the bushes right next to the building. Im not saying they have rats but there are a LOT. I heard they had cream sodas however so I thought Id try it out. I asked what flavors they have and someone suggested a combination of syrups that sounds good so I agreed to try it. When I asked to throw in a dash of cherry both of the employees stopped and looked at me like I just asked them to spit in it. I said never mind and the cashier tried to explain that he was already putting a lot of syrups in it. I can understand that but how was I supposed to know that? I just felt very shot down and I probably wont be going back.

I really enjoy this coffee shop. Things I really like about this place: Great upbeat customer service, excellent layout, and unique location. Lots of tables! Loud and quiet rooms(Actual Vault Room). Great hours (especially weekend hours). Their drinks are quite tasty and are fairy reasonable (Cafe Mexican is a fun treat). Try the banana nut muffin. You will not regret it. Things I dont like about this place: Though its kind of fun that they roast their own coffee. When they do roast, the place smells really smoky. The owner doesnt always update the place when needed, Last time I went the carpet was on its last leg and looked kind of grungy. Please dont hesitate to go!

I have been attending this coffee place for more than 10 years. The atmosphere is great, the staff is friendly enough most of the time, the coffee is made there, their tea collection is wonderful. They have interesting food choices, so if I need to be somewhere for the day to study, I can eat multiple meals and be satisfied. My complaint here; there are often flies flying around in the bagel and muffin display case. The staff knows that they are there, and their response is always that the manager just never does anything about it. They clean it each night I suppose, but something needs to be done to ameliorate this issue before I give them a better rating.

I used to love this place and have been coming here for several years for its really nice staff, good space, and most importantly because you could sit and work here for unlike most other coffee shops they did not have loud music. I would spend money here for lunch, coffee and pastry but they have made it impossible now to work since last week by playing outrageously loud music. Several people have told them but they seem to be doing this on purpose. it is the last time I will be here unless they go back to what they were so much loved for. I knew most of my colleagues came here and they all are leaving.
