The rating above is mostly because of one particular employee, Jason, whom I believe was the supervisor and/or manager of this location. I shopped at this Big 5 location two times within three days, and both times I was treated the same way. Jason was just rude and had HORRIBLE customer service! He was not outright disrespectful, but his demeanor as I entered the store and asked questions included not greeting or smiling at me (I visited the store on two times on two separate days in late January), he was sarcastic in a not-very-nice way, and frankly, he seemed like he just did not give a crap about me or what I needed. Because I visited this Big 5 location two times in three days and I was treated the same way by Jason on both days, I would say that it was not random and that Jason lacks customer service skills. Unfortunately, Jasons lack of customer service skills seemed to be passed on to the other store employees/cashiers... the others were not as rude/unfriendly as Jason, but they were pretty damn indifferent, too. Overall, it has actually been a really long time since a group of employees have made that awful of an impression. I will not visit that store again and I recommend that you visit another location, too.

FORGET BIG 5-----I have shopped at the Big 5 over 40 years. Mostly for running shoes, as Big 5 was always in the past was know for best prices, plenty of inventory, and LAST the Famous Shoe Riot Sales a couple of times a year that were unbelievable. Sadly IMHO Big 5 has change for the worst, as they advertise product (running shoes) on sale. But when you go in to their stores you find little inventory, and poor selection of sizes So let say I am disillusioned with BIG 5’s Advertised Sales, with no merchandise to go along with the sale flier in the newspaper, or the e-mail hype flier you get in your e-mail. My suggestion is to shop on line, as many of the shoe sale sites like Amazon, 6PM, etc., you can find with a goggle search. Have a better selection, better prices, free shipping, and no sales tax. Big 5 is just a dinosaur that use to be the place to get deals on running shoes. Now IMHO Big 5 is not keeping up with the new competition in the running shoe sales business.

Out standing service, retail companies have product in the backroom, and things that can fall and harm customers. You ever been in a Walmart stock room or any other? Thats why they do not allow people back there. Iam sure if you explained your situation, they would have escorted you. Can only fit so much in a smaller store, but they can order most items that you need. Ask for a manager if not satisfied with something, because Everytime my family has does business with big 5, it has exceeded expectations.

I rarely give one star. If the awrvice was that bad. I so t review it. But the service at this store is exceptionally bad. I looked at 4 pairs of hiking boots a now in my size. I finally found a pair I can live. Went to the register and tried too pay for a $43 puchase with a $100 bill and was told, "I dont have change for that." Did not open the drawer, did not call a manager. Breanna just didnt bother. I walked out. Terrible service.

Horrible experience. No smile, or hello as I walked in and asked for directions. I was watched the entire time I was in there store! Originally I thought this one manager was just sterotyping me, but after reading the reviews prior to my own, I think that guy was just a a-hole. That will be the 1st and last time I ever visit that store! I do not recommend them at all.

Big 5 should be ashamed and their leadership has obviously never dropped in un announced on this store. Had to return a Christmas present bought for my son that did not work. The manager of the store was extremely rude and very unhelpful his employees seemed like they were terrified of him. I will not be spending any of my money here again.

I came in to buy a gun in the ad. I asked where the restroom was was told "we dont have one you can use" how rude is that? Ive got intestinal problems from Afghanistan. So Ill never shop here again and dont recommend anyone else does. Especially because a few months ago they did in fact have a restroom I used in the back of the store.

Merchandise is good quality. They were out of stock of the few items I went there to buy. It was Black Friday so you have to figure that into the stores appearance with the unkept shelves and out of stock merchandise. Otherwise, employees were very helpful and available in a timely matter.

The people are friendly here. With back-to-school right around the corner, I just wished they would have had more kids sized gear in stock. Basic tees and shorts for kids were limited to a few selections. I will check back after the mad rush is over.
