Customer service is EVERYTHING and unfortunately I had a poor experience today at Uptown in Peoria. When I walked in I was never greeted even though the cashier looked me in my face...As I was browsing the workers informed all of the other customers in the store about the current sale except for me despite the fact that they walked past me, they hung up clothes while standing next to me, and brushed past me to help other customers... NO ONE said a single word to me.... I felt uncomfortable and that my business apparently has no value. I made my way to the kid-to-kid section after being ignored for 10-15mins and finally a nice man approched me, asking had I heard of the sale I replied "no" and he politely explained the details, other than that no one spoke to me. I did find some cute kids clothes and the cashier was very pleasant, however I mostly like will not spend a dime with the franchise and will not reefer my family or friends to shop. I love a good resale store, who doesnt love a great bargain but I love being noticed and valued as customer more.

I’ve personally shopped (and sold) at Kid to Kid and now, Uptown Cheapskate, many times in the last 2 years. It is an outstanding business with very generous and reasonable owners, Deron and Michelle. I first started going there to sell stuff, because at the time, I had been out of work for 18 months, and as a single dad, I was struggling to pay the bills. He knew my story, and was always very generous about how much he paid me, and I suspect that he even bought some stuff that he knew he couldn’t resell. One time, around Christmas, 2 years ago, I came to the store to sell some stuff, and he pulled me aside and asked if I had any presents for my son. Without even blinking, he gave me $100 worth of free stuff! Now $100 worth of free stuff goes really far at Kid to Kid! Would Babies R Us or Walmart do that? These businesses are a part of the NW Valley community, and the owners try to be as generous and reasonable as possible. I highly recommend supporting this local, family owned business!

Twice I have tried to sell to uptown cheapskate and they didnt accept my clothes for various reasons which is the norm for a consignment store. However, I went in yesterday and after waiting an hour finally was told it was ready. They didnt take any of it because it was not what they were looking for. I had brought in Summer clothes and the sign said thats what they were accepting. When I brought it up the girl nonchalantly said "oh they just havent updated it." Please be more consistent and clear. It was very frustrating and I will not be back due to lack of concern, lack of organization and slow assistance.

The moment I walked in all three girls working at Uptown greeted me. I had clothing to sell, and a staff member Samantha gladly explained the buying process to me and told me that there were two buys ahead of me, and that the wait shouldnt be longer than thirty minutes. I stayed in the store and browsed the clothes. So much cute stuff at very reasonable prices. After no longer than 25 minutes I was given my quote and chose to take store credit for 25% more, I then purchased two pairs of jeans for my boyfriend and a purse for myself. Very friendly, overall a wonderful experience!

I will never go back in this store again! i had a general question so I stood at the counter for at least 5 minutes. there was 1 person shopping in the store. the blonde clerk, the only person working there that I could see. made eye contact with me then went back to what she was doing. Didnt say a word to me or acknowledge me at all and still continued what she was doing! Ive never see that before. so rude! I just walked out.... 1 star only because thats how you post a comment

They are rude and racist .. I went there and the lady dolce or whatever her name is she was disrespectful, before I even brought my clothes up there I asked her what kind of clothes they except, and I brought back every name brand item she said and she still didnt except not one thing I brought in. She was being real rude to me because of my appearance but she was so nice to the white lady before me. Im telling you guys from experience DONT EVER GO THERE !!!!!!

I went there with 2 bags full of BRAND NEW NEVER WORN clothes. I was approached by 2 kind of snobby girls, almost as if they didnt care about people, and one "went through" my bags and said there was NOTHING they wanted. Went to Buffalo Exchange and they gave me $40 for everything. This place is very unprofessional and rude. Do not recommend

Please advertise that you mainly cater to female attire, as well as that you dont buy dress pants and most male attire. Although you were nice enough to offer 8$ for a pair of levis and a pair of dkny jeans. (Sarcasm, i rather donate them for free then let your store make 50$ and only give me 8$)

If youre a minority, do not go to this place! This is a RACIST place!!! One of the girl who worked there said, We dont take YOUR clothes here! She put "DO NOT SELL" and threw my clothes back at me. This is worst customer service I ever seen! Spend your money elsewhere!

Ive never had an issue here. I understand Im not going to get exactly what I originally paid, so Im never upset with what they give me. The staff is always friendly and professional. After selling I usually always find something to purchase after.

Staff was very inviting and helped me start a dressing room. They gladly put the clothes that didnt work out back in the racks for me. Found vans for half the price, 4 pairs of jeans, and sweaters all at cheap prices. Great place !

I dislike this place they are racist people, I tried to go trade in my clothes I had about 5 tubes the two teeny bobbers rollered there eyes and picked up my clothes like if it was infested never coming back here again.
