We are a retired senior citizen couple. I am a "car guy." We havent bought a new car for 10 years and recall when purchasing a car always involved an adversarial relationship with the dealer. We both felt it was time for a new car, but had no idea what we wanted. We had heard good things about Kias and visited Martin Swanty. We were nearly shocked by the lack of high-pressure sales techniques. We both felt that well the salesman we spoke with, Al Bigelow, was genuinely interested in helping us. We later returned to check out a Kia Soul that we had seen on the freeway. We asked for Al but he was not at work, so Tony Poling helped us. Again, there was no pressure and a sincere desire to help. After a very informative, no pressure test drive, we were given a price without the usual haggling. We needed to check with other dealers, only to find the usual adversarial relationship, and were not able to significantly beat Martin Swantys no haggle price. We clearly preferred the positive feel at Martin Swanty. We bought the car, a Kia Soul +, one of the least expensive cars on the lot, but were treated as if we were buying a top of the line vehicle. This was our most positive new car buying experience ever. Before retiring we bought new cars on a fairly regular basis so we have lots of purchases to compare to. We often used to talk about what an ideal car purchase would be. This purchase was the ideal.

Adam Levine praised Casper, Wyoming residents for helping when he had car trouble. This doesn’t happen just in Casper, Wyoming. It happens in Kingman, Arizona, too. My wife, daughter and I were returning to Logan, Utah from Mesa, Arizona. As we were going up a hill my car decided that it was giving up the ghost. As I was pulling over a gentleman traveling in the opposite direction made a U-turn to pull up behind us. Before he was out of his pick-up truck another pick-up pulled up behind him. The three of us opened the hood and stared at the engine. Our unanimous decision was that my car was not going farther on its own. The first guy got on his cell phone and called Martin Swanty Chrysler Jeep Dodge. Martin Swanty Chrysler Jeep Dodge sent out a car carrier. At this point the two Arizonians could have gone about their business, but both follows us to Martin Swanty Chrysler Jeep Dodge. When we got there the two passed us off to Martin Swanty and did go about their business. The dealer put my car in the shop – right then – no waiting. My car slipped the timing belt so there was a new vehicle in my present, not my future. Martin Swanty Chrysler Jeep Dodge got me a zero interest no money down brand new Dodge Dakota SLT crew cab. So within three hours we were on the road out of Arizona back into Utah. So go West, young man … but stop at the California border.

my trucks transmission suddenly stuck in 4th gear just outside Kingman. found dealer on web and arrived about 3 pm on Tuesday. The service lady came and got the vin and mileage to check my extended warranty info..I was told this is where everyone breaks down and it would be a while...Welcome to Kingman Arizona .they wouldnt even take the time to read the code...they said there where 3 ahead of me so I should get a room a room and be back at 7:30. Sometime around 3 Wednesday they finally read the code and said they had to get the part out of LA..get a room be back at 7:30....the part got in about 10am...its now 4. my truck hasnt moved yet...I was told that were still several ahead of me......its like every day I go to the bottom of the list... I have watched at least 30 cars go in and out each day. each time I check on the progress Im told I just have to wait my turn and welcome to Kingman Arizona. they say they only have 1 mechanic who can do the work and only 1 lift...BULL.....well they are finally taking it in....but they said it probably wont be done today...get another room.....if they had not got it in, I would have driven it in 4th gear to the next dealer 100 miles away....DO NOT STOP HERE if youre vehicle can still move at all

Purchased an 2007 Hyundai Azera from them for cash. Within a week the passenger CV axle boot was throwing out grease. Close inspection showed the boot was sealed up with black Silicon. ANY idiot knows that wont stop the problem. I am not saying that they did it but if it was done by the previous owner then it shows that they do not check over there used vehicles very good. I also had to replace the front struts and upper control arms, rear shocks, brakes all around, tires were all worn had directional tires on the wrong side. Some seat controls do not work. It was taken out back to be detailed and once finished we took the car home and grease or whatever they use on the tires was all over the side of the car. Top of the motor was covered with a white slimy gel of some sort. The dash had a mat covering it which was just covered with dust on top and underneath it. Upolstery still had sand on it (the seats). Not very happy with this dealership at all. I made the mistake of going there to purchase this car and you know AS IS. Never go there again and will not refer any body else either.

Our engine had a slight tapping noise and soon the "check engine" light came on. We had our 2004 PT Cruiser towed to Martin Swanty Chrysler for repairs. We reported the sound, and the code from the computer to the service tech. She listened to the engine herself. "Not bad and not good" was the diagnosis. After a service repairman listened, and ran a compression check, we were told it was in need of a complete tear down or engine replacement. It was not worth the value of the car was indeed their position and they could refer us to a salesman. We purchased a new vehicle, not from Swanty, and nearly junked our Cruiser. We had it towed to Las Vegas to a reliable repair shop. It needed neither a new engine nor a complete tear down, only a new timing belt. Now we own two vehicles one that is not needed due to Swantys service techs. If you are buying a vehicle from Swanty this is the service you will also receive, ignorant, unreliable, and negligent.

Martin Swanty treated me fairly and never pressured me once to buy the very first day. Nor did they try and sell me any of their products. Well Gap insurance they suggested it but I declined and I was not hounded to comply to their want, the entire experience was about me. Bad things have been said about Martin Swanty to me in the past but in all reality my experience was so much different than any other car buying experience Ive ever had. Not like Ford where they pressured everything onto you, they sold me a bad product once and did it with a smile and a kick in the ass. Im not saying trust every dealer or dealership because you should never trust anyone selling you anything however, instead of letting them sell you something try and sell yourself the car by taking it for a ride MULTIPLE times before making a choice...this Martin Swanty allowed me to do and encouraged me as well.
