What I like: The eating area is fantastic. All the food we have ordered for a quick lunch has been tasty. I also love that you can find just about anything at Whole Foods. I like the feel of the store and drive over 20 miles to shop here. And even in the hot summer, they will put ice on my groceries so they make it all the way home. What I dont like: This store runs more expensive than others, which I wouldnt mind since it has all the organic selection I could hope for, but three times now a large part of the items I bought have been past date. This last trip (which prompted me to write this review) I came home with 8 out of ten yogurts passed date (3 of which were at least 5 days past!), 3 gallons of milk that expired the day before, 4 baby food pouches a week past, and an entire loaf of bread that was moldy on the inside. For a $200 shopping trip I had to throw about 1/3 of it away! I have done returns the previous couple of times this has happened and they have good customer service, but I have three young children and dont really want to drive all the way out there again. I also dont like having to check dates on everything while in the store because it takes time and when shopping with said 3 children, I like to be in and out as fast as possible. I think Ill go back to the organic section of my local grocery store since I have never had an issue there.

This is my Whole Foods. There are many like it, but this one is mine. Whole Foods is like my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, Whole Foods is useless. Without Whole Foods, I am useless. I must shop only at Whole Foods. I must spend more at Whole Foods than I spend at any other supermarket. My Whole Foods and I have love knowing that what counts in food is not the brand we buy, the fanciness of the label, the price tag that scorches the wallet. We know that it is the quality of the food consumed that counts. My Whole Foods is humane, the meat has no hormones, no antibiotics, the animals are cared for and processed in a Temple Grandin approved facility. My Whole Foods is human, even as I, because it is my life. I will learn my Whole Foods weaknesses, its strengths, its departments and its aisles. I will expect to see my Whole Foods clean and ready for me to shop in, even as I will keep myself clean and ready to shop there. We will become part of each other. Before God I swear this creed. My Whole Foods is the defender of my healthy food choices. It is the master of all other small time markets. Whole Foods is the savior of health food. So be it, until all stores are Whole Foods. Amen

I just shopped at the whole food in Chandler Az and spent a fortune for a few grocery items. I got some ground beaf from the meat department, and a whole oven roasted chicken from the food court area and some other stuff. It was late so I just drove home after I finished shopping there. When I got home, I opened the ground beaf package and I couldnt believe it! the meat looked fresh but the strong smell of the rotten meat was bothering my nose. I even had my family members to smell it to make sure, and we all agreed on the horrible smell of the rotten meat. The oven roasted chicken that was supposed to be ready to eat was not fully cooked and the meat was totally pink and bloody. It is my second bad experience with this specific whole food and I am done going there anymore.

This review is particular to the Block Party that Whole Foods puts on. I was invited by Yelps own Ivonne B, who ended up being my block party tour guide. She took us on a tour of the store, stopping at several locations for a tasting sample. Ive never had grilled pineapple before, and it was such a treat. It was also my first time for Indian Candy. Ivonne is a spitfire, and made our time spent there enjoyable and entertaining... because she has a real passion for food and nutrition. Sure, I love Whole Foods as much as the next person, but the Block Party proved to be the consummation of our love. And Ivonne let me in on a little Whole Foods customer secret... which if it got into the wrong hands, could be abused. Ill let you inquire directly from her.

I am absolutely in love with Whole Foods. Their selection is great. They have cosmetics up the wazoo, a vast array of vitamins, supplements, and minerals. Every time Ive gone, the staff has been very helpful, knowledgeable, patient, and kind. Im going there today to buy food for the first time and am excited. Great selection of jewelry, soaps, and essential oils. The essential oils are what first drew me to Whole Foods. They have the best in-store selection of essential oils I have yet to see. Another thing I really enjoy about this store are the plants near the entrance. Every time I go shopping here I buy another herb. Great selection, great vibes. Blessed be. **)o(**

They regularly have good deals on meals made in their cafe area, which has all different types of foods from Japanese to barbecue to salads and unique pizzas (like their prosciutto pizza). They do wine down Wednesdays with a glass of wine for $5, which comes with a sampling of varieties small plates types of food (cheese, meats, sweet treats like fudge). Also, they have a large selection of cheese from around the world, and its always fresh. I personally use a combination of their Asiago Sarvecchio Sartori and Sini Fulvi Fontal Quarters for my Alfredo and my cheese bread. They have great coffee, tea, sorbet, and unique gluten-free items as well.

We live in Mesa- love Trader Joes, AJS and specialty grocery shops. We buy organic & local as much possible and dont mind making a trip to find a good selection of product. We were so discouraged to unload our groceries to find outdated milk, rotten/ old produce (celery, tangerines)- moldy bread, etc. I am usually very careful in my product selection and watch expiration dates- but my husband was shopping with me and didnt check the dates as I usually do. This store is too large and doesnt seem to be keeping up on watching their products/ pulling the old off of the shelves, etc. this is so dissapointing- but I am sure that they wont make it.

Great selection of healthy foods. Location is clean and employees are always friendly. My only complaints are the prices and the bakery. I think its well known that Whole Foods is overpriced. It cant be helped for some items-- organic, local food naturally comes with a higher price tag. But other items that I can find elsewhere cost significantly more at Whole Foods. And the bakery... Everything LOOKS amazing. They do a great job with presentation. Unfortunately, most of the desserts dont taste as good as they look. If Im going to spend several dollars on a single cupcake, it had better be the best cupcake Ive ever had!

I love this store! Its a huge store with the biggest selection of vegetarian and vegan foods, including in the deli, that Ive ever seen. I used to live near it and went often. The staff were always friendly. I never encountered a rude employee any of the many times I was there. They have a lot of foods only one or two other natural food stores carry (and the other stores carry only a portion of the variety Whole Foods does) and have many foods no other grocery stores carry. Unfortunately, I moved far from there, and any other Whole Foods store, and miss it terribly!
