Horrible customer service, worth a zero star rating had the option been available...I am writing this at 7:00am, because store hours, so rudely verbalize to me, are such a priority, rather than any characteristics of customer service less this be written prior or post the hours of operation. My wifes birthday is today, so to start her day off accordingly, I decided to drive to Starbucks, located in the plaza a stones throw from whole foods located on baseline and rural, order her and I coffee as a welcomed celebratory treat from our everyday homemade coffee experiences. After placing the order, the shadow displayed from the loom of the whole foods building begged myself to inquire the baristas if the grocery store was open. No matter the response, due to the distance, I made the arduous 100ft journey to the North entrance, to my luck was open wide enough to pass thru. While perusing the selection of flowers, a gentleman, I assume to work in the produce section due in part to his uniform, began to yell from the North wall, across the produce, to me, standing in front of the flowery goodness I so desired to surprise my birthday lady at home. The produce gentleman proceed to yell out that the store was not open, and questioned my way of entering the building. I proceeded to respond, again over the produce, asking the time and if possible to purchase the flowers for my wifes birthday. His response was that I could try, but being that the store wasnt open for another 8 minutes, he didnt know. I walked to a check out lane where a woman was working, putting what I assumed to be, the cash drawer into the register. "Excuse me maam, would it be possible to...." "What are you doing in here, how did you get in here, GET OUT!!!" She so lovely put. As I began to apologize and acknowledge the time was 6:52am and my reasoning for my intrusion and need for my purchase, she again interrupted me, scolded my being, and proceeded to use the store intercom to inform the produce department to close and lock the entrance. At this point, I felt as though I was a criminal who was guilty of trespassing, stealing, and a part of some underlying impending chaos due to my place and time and the wrath from the cashier shouting my wrongs of this situation. Let me acknowledge that I understand from the first interaction with the produce worker that store hours of operation clearly mean 7am. My reason for writing this novel is not to condemn the 8 minutes I was early, rather to ask and inform whom ever this story reaches, what happened to basic customer service and the treatment of another human. Was I hoping that the employees of whole foods could bend the rules and allow me to purchase a bouquet of flowers at 6:52 am, selfishly, the answer is yes. However, I feel that the manner in which I was treated deserves to be acknowledged. "Sir, Im sorry to inform you that we are not open, nor can we sell you anything until we open at 7am. Would you mind waiting outside until then? It is our policy due to the safety of our employees that customers are not to be inside the store until normal business hours?" Im not an expert in customer service, however I understand whats right and wrong and the statement in quotes above is somewhere along the lines I would assume be conveyed by the employees of a higher end grocery store. As for my actions, I was wrong to enter the store before 7am...What is your wrong Whole Foods?

Whole Foods in general was never my number one destination for grocery shopping for one very good reason; Its OVERPRICED! Now, yes the age ol argument that "youre getting what you pay for" plays in favour of Whole Foods because while its really expensive I feel the quality of everything here is totally worth it. However, Im simply a college student and I cant afford coming here all the time but when I can, I really like it. They have the widest selection of grocery items. Even things I never expect to find there. And the cashiers are always super friendly. One guy even noticed my Undertale shirt and started briefly chatting with me about it as I was paying for my items. And even remembered me when I came back since I do visit this often. Besides the ridiculous prices on some items -- 8 dollars for cheese?! -- I really like this place. They even support Apple Pay and Android Pay so thats the cherry on top I suppose.

I have been going to this Whole Foods Market for over 10 years and will continue to go here because they have everything I need. Now if youre one of those people from out of state like California for instance, dont expect this Whole Foods Market to have everything your store back home does, because they wont. Whole Foods have certain regions that carry certain items. The nice part about this Whole Foods Market, is that its smaller than most of the other stores. This store definitely attracts a liberal crowd. There are good people that work here and I think that you should check it out. Thats a good place for singles to meet up, as well as people who need internet connection but are sick of going to Starbucks. Are you still reading this review? You should just go to this Whole Foods Market I think youll be pleasantly surprise.

Hands down the best place to go look at rich mens trophy wives go grocery shopping. Or If you want to feel what living the American Dream is like- come shop here. Or if you want to up your hipster or hippie cred. Ok but seriously, this is the nicest whole foods Ive been to. And Ive been to the one in Cupertino CA, Westwood CA, and Brentwood CA many times. I think its the fact that theres a lot of space in AZ so they built the mothership of Whole Foods here. Great selection of foods and organic meat. Good beer selection. I come here for the 5.99 per lb their hot food on Wed, for the delirium nocturnum beer, and their organic eggplant.

I was hunting a specific product and had emailed the manufacturer; they told me Whole Foods carried it. When I have bought this product in the past I have paid $2.89 - $2.99 for it. I drove to Whole Foods in Tempe this morning (25 minute drive) and yes they had the product - for $4.99. I then started looking at other store items. This store is way, way, way overpriced. I buy organic fruit and vegetables but I would never pay the prices at Whole Food. I believe in trying to eat healthy but I also believe in having some common sense and not being a fool. I will spend my food dollars much more wisely at other stores.

Way too expensive! Not enough options... · And I bought a box of trail mix there and it had some kind of bug & web inside of the Ziploc baggie that the mix was in!! Gross!!! First of all, it was NOT properly sealed! And ewwwww! How long was it there, and where are they getting these types of trail mix from!!!???!!! I took it back and got a refund, but all they said was : its natural, bugs are everywhere... ummm, NO! NOT acceptable when Im buying a box of food from inside of a store! · Im sorry, I dont remember the brand, but I wouldnt buy anything like that from whole foods EVER again!
