I agree with Connies comments, I cant remember having a better donut in my life ! I am originally from New Orleans and Im a real food critic. The quality of the dough and the products used are absolutely perfect. The Donut Shoppe even lets the dough proof up enough so that the donut doesnt absorb grease. (The proof ring on the donut shows that) Yes, I was once a donut fryer. Also, The glaze is not put on too heavy. Yes, Its still the best donuts Ive ever had. I travel from Florida to Florence alot, and I just have to have some of their donuts when Im in town. Benny (Da-Fish)

Yes, these are 5-STAR donuts. This is a family owned local institution that has been in the Shoals area forever. Sweet friendly folks greet you and they are honestly happy to wait on you. Opens early at 4am serving fresh donuts until 2pm. They sleep-in on Sundays and dont open until 5am! They do a lot of business so expect a limited selection after noon. There is a drive-thru. National donut chains cant touch em.

I live in Ohio and have to travel to Memphis several times a year for business. When ever I go to Memphis I always take the 2 1/2 hr. drive to Muscle Shoals just to go to the Donut Shoppe . The best donuts Ive ever tasted. What makes it so good? The fact that they are always fresh and they will pump the cream filling in your donut for you, just pick a flavor and they pump your donuts full.
