S&S Hardware is more expensive than other hardware stores. Several items I priced at S&S were twice as expensive as it was at Menards for the same item. I understand that small businesses cant offer the same prices for a lot of reasons, but come on - a 200% price increase is a little ridiculous.

Got great prices on a Rug Doctor carpet cleaner rental and balsa wood airplane. The Rug Doctor cleaned my carpet in a jiff and my nephew loves the airplane with a wind up propeller and wheels.

Friendly "small town" service from knowledgable people. If they dont have they will send you to someone who does carry it. I always go there first for my hardware needs.
