Buying carpet and vinyl for my small 1,000 square feet home has been the worst consumer experience I have ever had. This is due to the lack of communication and incompetence by Home Depot staff once my order reached the measurement phase. After my home was measured, a completely different home was added into my homes floor plan, skyrocketing the quote to $7,000 from the original $2,800 we were told in store. Knowing something had catastrophically been screwed up, my wife called into Home Depot customer service. The nightmare started at this time. My wife and I were called in, trying to fix our floor plan multiple times for the next three days. We were told the floor plan was fixed at the end of each call, just to receive an email later with a slight updated, but very incorrect floor plan. We would call back and be forced to speak with a completely different person with no knowledge of original problem, therefore making it extremely difficult to solve said problem. This issue also forced us to re-explain our problem approximately 6 times as we spoke to 6 different people when calling back. As you can tell by this review, this was extremely frustrating. The only reason this review received two stars, is the excellent customer service given my Kirk Stafford while in the store during our original visit. The help and expertise he provided is second to none.

i bought 2 zero turn lawn mower in may 2016, one is for me and the other for my brother over $7000 paid in full. One of the zero turn had its handle bars installed with a wrong parts, the salesman told me hell order it and send directly to my address in West Plains within 4 to 6 weeks. went home and about week later there were a lady from customer service gave me a call to assure that parts had been order and should be arrive as schedule, im so impressed with their customer care service, but no i was wrong! 2months passed by in july i was in Springfield and stop by their store to see if my parts got in yet, no its misplaced somewhere the salesman told me. He than, promised me he place a new order and this time he guaranty i will get parts in few weeks. Weeks after weeks and months after months everytime if i have a chance to go to springfield i stop by their store to check up on them, they give me a run around answer and even send me to parts specialist manager to order the handle bars, now its end of December almost seven months passed im still havent got the handle bars yet. this store is run by bunch of lairs and dishonesty peoples, i hope they should fires those in charge and hired better ones, ill evryones i known to give this home depot store a bad reviews.

I had my doors measured on 12/12/2016, which included a storm door and sliding patio door. They were installed with no problems. I ordered 13 doors on 04/07/2017, should have been an easy transaction. Dan was short with me when I ordered and said only 10 doors were measured and I assured him that 13 were measured. I was there almost 2 hours ordering. He did not explain that they would not take their trash, boxes, wood pieces, and Styrofoam. Hindsight, I was not very happy that day and should have walked away. I went in to check on the doors and Gary just sat at the counter on Facebook and ended up not knowing how to help me. 04/07/2017 Ordered 05/24/2017 10 out of 13 doors installed 07/06/2017 0 out of 3 due to damaged 08/09/2017 2 out of 3 doors installed, due to 3rd door being cut the wrong size...have to wait 3 to 4 more weeks They are not painted brilliant white, which I paid for and now have to pay someone else to correct this. I am so disappointed with Home Depot! My husband and family have spent a lot of money with you over the years. I have taken this to social media and a lot of readers are as pissed as I am! They are suggesting you take the doors back and a full refund or give half the total back for compensation and to pay to have the doors painted.

I tried very hard to give these people my money but their sales prevention department was working overtime that day. I wanted very badly to rent a piece of equipment however after many attempts to reserve a trencher I was repeatedly denied a reservation. They literally wouldnt work at all with me. I took a leap of faith and borrowed a trailer and truck, called right back to see if they would at least hold it for me as I drove an hour into town to get it. No answer, 10 minutes on the switchboard and finally "can we take your number and call you back". No call back. 30 minutes later I call back only to be informed that the piece of equipment I wanted was rented out a few minutes prior. Hey corporate, heres some advice. Look to how professional rental companies run their business, they let people make reservations. Because of this idiotic no reservation policy blowing my whole day It will be a long long time before I step foot in your store again. I would say you stepped over a dollar to save a dime but you didnt even do that, you just turned away business. If I was allowed to make reservations I would have been there when you opened, had it back in 4 hours, and you could have rented it out twice!

While in Springfield I stopped here to pick up a very simple item....a new toilet seat. I live about 50 miles from Home Depot, up near Buffalo. When I got home and took it out of the package, there was a huge label on the inside of the lid. About 7"×7". This ugly label was stuck on there never to be removed! The manufacturer should have used an adhesive that would EASILY peel off! I called the store and talked with one of the managers telling him of the problem. Of course he said bring it back and well refund your money. I had already told him how far I lived from the store. He actually expected me to make a 100 mile round trip just to return the stupid thing. I asked him if instead of going through that kind if expense if I could email him a picture of the shredded up label on the lid and asked if he could put some money back on my credit card instead. HE FLAT OUT REFUSED!! Since Home Depot doesnt seem to care anything about customer satisfaction I will never shop there again!!!!!!!! LOWES is much better at handling customer problems and they DO BELIEVE that customer satisfaction is their #1 priority. YOU LOSE HOME DEPOT!! Gary L. SHOP LOWES!

I seem to be unable to get any kind of positive experience shopping at Home Depot, from lazy staff, unwilling to assist, being lied to, inventory not being kept up to date on the website, etc.. I drove an hour one way to specifically purchase material to finish a customers project. On the website, it showed that the Branson, Mo. store had 66 pieces in stock for immediate pickup, I needed 8 to finish the project. They had zero!! Talked to the only associate that was willing to help and seemed to be genuine in his efforts, told me that it was the norm to group all the in stock colors under one sku number, I was needing red and they only had brown. By the way, the website showed to have 32 brown in stock as well. This associated escorted me to the service desk where that associate called someone and she was told by that person that the red was on the shelf and gave directions to find it. The directions led me right back to where I found only brown, and no one in site to assist. I am a contractor and find it impossible to spend any money in this store, let alone drive two hours round trip to be treated this poorly.
