DO NOT USE THE PRO DESK!!! A few months ago I decided to fence in my back yard. I learned that Home Depot had a Pro Desk and assuming I could work with a pro that knows their products decided to order through them rather than just ordering online myself. Within a few minutes I quickly became concerned when Roger seemed to be confused by his own fence program. I pointed out multiple errors as he was going through such as my address being wrong and he assured me it would delivered to the right place. Upon paying and getting the print out of our fence I went to leave and realized he had ordered me two different types of fence panels. I notified him of the error and he couldnt fix it on his end and we had to call the 1800 number. They happened to notice that it was being shipped to the wrong address (which I had pointed out earlier) and that I had actually been billed twice for delivery. We canceled the order and created a new one. 2 weeks later the fence was delivered. Upon delivery I noticed the panels needed clips and the posts we set up with notches and they would not work together. I had asked about this when ordering but was assured they would work together and told I didnt need to order clips. I also had the wrong cement that I had asked for. I then contacted Jaime at the pro desk as I was done with Roger. Jaime did an amazing job fixing my order and getting the correct items ordered. I was very happy with Jaime as we got the correct posts, cement and added the clips that I would need. 2 weeks later the new order arrived. I was called twice by Zack and someone else who informed me my order was in. I asked them both on the phone if the clips were with it and they couldnt quite answer but assured me it was probably on there. The next day the truck driver also called and I asked again about the clips and he also said they should be on there. The order was delivered and guess what, no clips. I went in a third time to the store where the only one available was Roger again who couldnt tell me anything about my clips. Unhappy with this, I insisted on talking with someone else. He found me Zack who I had talked to on the phone the night before. He informed me the clips are no longer made. Why couldnt he tell me this the night before? I insisted on getting my clips and he rounded up Cory. Cory got to the bottom of it to find out they had only 22 in stock but I needed 44. Cory gave me the 22 and said they would get the others in from another store and let me know when they arrived. Over a week later and no calls from Home Depot I came in for a fourth time and spoke with a store manager. She researched the clips I needed and found none were ever order/requested but there were some at the Burnsville store. I refused to drive there as I had been in here enough and she said she would have them at the store tomorrow. My wife went in the next day to pick up the remaining clips (5th trip now) and they were finally there (and we were given a free $5 bucket for our troubles). I spent thousands of dollars there and was met with nothing but incompetence and nobody who seemed to care about keeping a customer. I am not the type to get bent out of shape about much and this is the first review I have ever written. But I thought the tough part of the fence would be actually building it and not fighting the store to take my money and deliver me the necessary items. Save your time and research your project yourself as there is a shortage of pros at the pro desk or better yet go across the street to Menards where they at least seem to care about customer service.

Purchased a washer and dryer from this store. Upon arrival, there was a huge dent in the side of my pedestal and a paper stating that I approved of the dent upon arrival. Which I did not. I complained and they would not help with trying to fix it or any compensation. Since I purchased these as a "clearance/last model" item, I had to hook them up and there would not be the option of having installation with them, even if I wanted to pay for it. I hooked them up and since the pedestals were installed at the store, there are bolts missing and my washer will not level correctly. I have called three times to the store and requested someone to come out. Each time given a line that the appliance manager will contact me to look at them. I have not heard anything from this manager and I am not happy because I need to do my laundry! I will never shop at this Apple Valley Home Depot again. Nothing is followed through with calls or anything once the appliance is purchased and out of their hands. Very disappointed.

Tony Hilmoe, was very helpful and useful in helping me go from Department Department showing me where to go helping me pick out the things I needed to use for my projects and hes very friendly also Lee Mewhorter, and the paint department was awesome. I forgot my paint swatch and you kindly told me I could call him ( Lee ) which they normally dont allow paint orders. Then to top it off Travis (?) was my cashier and he was excellent he actually followed me outside due to my handicapped abilities and wet/dry gear since it was raining so hard. He was just an excellent all-around person to work with from start to finish. My experience has been the best Ive experience at any Home Depot in this area. Apple Valley Home Depot you rock! All these employees should be commended and given raises her what they do especially working with somebody that doesnt know what theyre doing. Thank you all so much.

Slow, Rude, incompetent, insert your favorite word to describe terrible service. The prices are also higher than Menards across the street. Dont even think about placing a special order, it is a nightmare! Our first experience was bad, and for some odd reason we decided to do another and it was worse. They take your money and the profit but do nothing to help you. We had a custom order that took longer than expected and the 5 different people we spoke to all just blamed the vendor. Im sorry I paid my money to The Home Depot, than means that you need to work with your vendors to help me get my product. Also while in the store waiting for help to get an item down, 4 different associates asked if they could help us, but when we said "Yes we need something down" they just made the same page the first person did. It took 30 minutes to get a bath vanity down that was 6 feet in the air!

The customer service is definitely lacking. They need to hire people who are not rude and short with you over the phone and even if they dont really care about what your question is at least ACT like you do. This is your JOB people!!!!!! I talked to two people there on the phone to ask about my last receipt at both people did not sound like they wanted to help me and almost made me feel like I was asking a dumb question. Not okay, being that I run a business myself.. I think it is time for the staff to find a new profession and Home Depot needs to hire new employees. I have noticed that this is not just at the Apple Valley location but other locations as well. As our company has used them to purchase for several of our sites but customer service is just not there! On a second note, they have beat a competitors pricing for light bulbs... so I am happy about that.
