My uncle needed a metal cabinet for his garage and he went by your store to see if you had one. Your store did not, but he was told that there was a truck coming Sunday. My uncle called on Monday to see if you had the cabinet. You said yes so he asked that you hold it for him. You said yes. We drove up from Hollister to get the cabinet on Wednesday. When we got there we were told that the clerk made a mistake and your store did not have the cabinet. She was very nice and felt bad. I asked if they might be able to order one and ship it to us to make up for the wasted trip. We spoke with two managers, one man and one woman. There was absolutely no attempt to apologize for our trip and no attempt to make our trip worthwhile. We would have even taken the display. The managers wouldnt even look at us. We own a farm near the state line and we have purchased several items over the years from your store. It was very disappointing the way we were treated.

I called in to inquire if they had a range finder... put on hold 2 minutes, girl came back said yes, I asked how much? Hold please.... 9 minutes later hung up called back, ask about price told girl I held for 9 minutes, hold please... 2 minutes phone picks up, click, hung up on me, called back again get a guy asked about price on laser or ultrasonic range finder, you guessed it, hold, comes back on one minute says we dont have/carry them... These guys really suck, cheap crap that works in a pinch and the staff and management is worse. Found them on the HF web site while on hold for $20 bucks but didnt want to waist more time with the jerks, went to home depot and bought one for $25 bucks ... worth the diff to me now and future

On the 13th I ordered online..after 2 emails they tell me on the 26 it is back ordered..They have 5 differant ones in the same power and price..When I shop online anywhere else they tell you at checkout if the item is out of stock..H F needs a shake up in management ..When I get my money back they will never see or hear of me again..

Shopped at Harbor Freight many times, never had a problem. Went in during sales, had a hard time finding help because they were busy, but being patient paid off. The cheap tools, are, of course, cheap. Dont expect to find a professional use tool for the price of a cheap one, and stop complaining. Also, if you are looking for an item, its pretty simple to give them the item #... took 15 seconds to ask if they had the one I was looking for in stock, she was able to tell me yes, how many, and where, immediately. Theres a reason this place is priced lower than competitors- and Im alright with that most of the time.

I read numerous negative reviews from other individuals and thought they were from other companies. I called the store today to check on an item. A lady answered the phone who seemed to be working the checkout, she was trying to carry a conversation with me and others who were checking out, extremely rude. I asked if she could send me to another person who had time to talk to me, she said please hold. After two country and western songs and still no conversation, I hung up, went to Home Depot, bought the same product and was very satisfied with the service. Never again will I attempt Harbor Fraud Tools.

I really appreciate Springfield harboring a Harbor Freight Tools. The tools arent the best, but they are good, and if you get the pro models, theyre actually really good. At the prices you pay you cant complain, and when you get the pro model hand tools you get a lifetime warranty. How can you complain about that?! Yea they are cheaper than craftsman or snapon or Mac tools but then again, its cheaper than them too! And they almost always have sales to make it even cheaper, and if youre a rewards member coupons to make them even cheaper still!

A very busy place. If you expect to get awesome hyper detailed phone service..you are out of luck. Do yourself a favor and search ONLINE for the particular product you want, then call with the ITEM NUMBER and confirm that it is in before making the trip. If you call to see if they carry this or that and dont get the answer you want you deserve to have your feelings hurt. They are swamped. Use your computer or a smartphone and do some homework. The place is good for what it is....a well priced tool mover. Fast and cheap. I likeem.

Contrary to other reviews on this website, Harbor Freight is a great place for cheap products. Not everything is top quality but quite a few things are. They do have a satisfaction guarantee for 90 days. Every time Ive been in the Springfield location theyve been more than helpful even though they were busy. It is also great for one time use tools that you dont want to spend an arm and a leg on. Obviously these are not professional quality tools and they shouldnt be reviewed as such.

Cant beat the prices and selection of tools! These are not made for everyday use but for the DIYer who will be happy if the get a few uses out of it, and there are even some tools that can stand an everyday beating and take it like a champ too, I have floor jacks that wont quit, a press, compressor and a grinder too that stand up to daily usage so they will have my business as long as they continue to provide the quality they do at the prices they offer!

Worst customer service I have EVER experienced. And beware, the "free" item coupon to get you in the store, if it doesnt work they will NOT exchange for a working like item. No exchange on free items. Okay, then SELL SOMETHING that works. If my employee had talked to a customer the way I was spoken to it would be disciplinary action for them! Guaranteed.

Ive bought hundreds of dollars of tools from this store and the one in Joplin, no customer service isnt there strongest suit. But if youre a DIY addict a need a tool, that your not going to use 40 hrs a week, this is the place. And small stuff that you need for every project, sand paper, wire brushes, paint brushes, their prices cant be beat.
