I rarely write reviews, so something has to be especially egregious for me to do so. The delivery was a day late, and the customer service was terrible. I ordered flowers for someone to be delivered as a surprise on Valentines Day. I understand that Valentines is a big day, but if you cant meet the delivery SLA, either dont promise delivery, or let the customer know ahead of time that it will be late. I never received a notice that the delivery would be late, which forced me to follow up with my girlfriend to confirm if any showed up, which ruined the surprise. When I called Chicago Lake Florist the next day, I encountered someone who was EXCEEDINGLY rude on the phone, and never even offered an apology. All I wanted was an apology and an ETA. Instead, I received neither, and she attempted to rush me off the phone while looking up a phone number that she had requested in the first place. There are numerous florists in MPLS, and now I know that I should use of them rather than Chicago Lake Florist.

I normally dont write reviews but their terrible customer service and attention to detail warranted a negative review. I ordered a bouquet of flowers two weeks before Valentines Day and didnt think twice about my order being missed. On the delivery date, I never received a delivery confirmation so I decided to call and check on the status of my order. 30 minutes later after speaking with two different customer service reps I was told, "Oops, we forgot that one". I was courteous and accepted the fact that mistakes happen. I arranged for my order of flowers to be delivered the next day. My flowers arrived the next day as scheduled, but it was not the arrangement that I paid for. Bottom line: I would not recommend Chicago Lake Florist to anyone.

My family ordered flowers to be delivered to our sister at Abbott Northwestern after she had brain surgery. We asked for a $100.00 SPRING arrangement in a vase. What we got were a dozen roses with a couple of lilies popped in. I spoke with Ernie the owner of the shop and let him know that we were not happy with the arrangement. He must of been out delivering or something, because he said he would need to call me back in an hour. He never called back and nothing new was delivered to my sister today. Very disappointed with the service and the product

I ordered flowers for my fiancé on Sunday night and they were supposed to be delivered on Monday and were never delivered, I had a family member call and see if they could be redelivered 3 separate times. Im currently deployed so I had no way of contacting them since they dont have an email address and I had to have a family member call to receive a refund. Ive never had problems with any florist like I did this one. Absolutely terrible.

Chicago Lake Florist is awesome. I was getting flowers for a baby shower but didnt know exactly what I wanted. Instead, I gave Ernie my budget and he created a magnificent bouquet that I divided up into three vases. Lots of compliments on the arrangements. Price was beyond reasonable and Ernie was very accommodating in terms of what I was willing to spend-- no pressure or upselling. I will definitely be back.

I was a walk-in today, and I was blown away. Service was amazing and the mother and son who run the place were wonderful. From a bare description, they whipped up a beautiful bouquet for under $20. The store itself is very low-key, but I would highly recommend this place to anybody looking for gorgeous flowers at a very good price.

Valentines day flowers delivered and looked sickly. The tulips leaves were yellow with brown tips and the majority of the small roses had brown edges on the blooms. Within three days seven are dead and the rest will not live to bloom. So sad. Dont trust this place unless you physically pick the flowers yourself!

DO NOT USE THIS VENDOR!!! I ordered flowers for a friend and they claim they delivered them to the nurses station on her floor but she never received them. After 6 phone calls where he gave me excuse after excuse he said he would make good on the order and deliver to her house. Never followed through.

Classic florist. Great customer service. I needed some flowers in a pinch, walked in without notice, was helped and happily on my way fast. Chicago Lake Florist is one of a kind. I recommend this establishment, and will be back for roses again soon.
