Still in disbelief. The store was empty aside from another customer and myself yet I was offered assistance 1 time when I initially arrived. After wandering the store over and over looking for the right product, I finally had to seek help, though I was stared at several times by the employees. Being so empty of customers but so full of employees, I should have received more of the personal shopping experience. The ladies at the checkout were very sweet though. Then to the haircut, the worst part. We arrived 30 minutes early and there was nobody in the salon except for stylists. Instead of taking us on early as a childs haircut should not exceed 30 minutes, we waited. and waited. Maybe because the stylist we were assigned to hadnt arrived yet but it was our first visit so I didnt care if the one who was available took us on. I was working against the clock of nap time and keeping a toddler "in the mood" for sitting to get a haircut. If you have kids, you know what Im talking about. I told her I wanted basically what was already going on, that it just was a little longer than I like. Somehow she interpreted that to take 3 inches of length off my childs hair to a near buzz cut. (Insert giant eyes of shock). Excuse me. How does that make sense. His hairstyle in no way represented a buzz cut style. At all. This is the first time Ive ever had to hold back tears for a haircut. (Yes, itll grow back, but its my childs face that I will see in pictures and remember this awful experience b/c she did not listen.) I brought him into Ulta, to a Salon, to have his hair cut with sheers by a "Professional STYLIST," not into a barbershop to be buzzed with clippers and especially when Im paying more than $20 for a toddlers cut. Im just so disheartened. It gets WORSE. After immediately stopping with the clippers as I shockingly state thats too short, she leaves it that way. Say what. The haircut ends after she blends it, but as Im looking, his side burns are still there that I asked to be cut, there are longs groupings of hair sticking out from around his ears, the back of his neck is shaggy, the back of his head is cut high on one side and long on the other.. you kind of should make it look like an even haircut that was professionally done since you already screwed it up. Like we were seriously about to walk out of there as if a 6 year old cut his hair. I have never had to request so many corrections, from a Professional Stylist! I mean, seriously. What the heck. So, I am upset. I am unhappy. I should not have had to pay $22 for that experience. I should not have been charged at all really. I still want to cry for such lack of care and lack of service and overall lack of consideration that yes hes a toddler but he deserves to have a quality haircut just as anyone else would. You wouldnt dare send a grown man or woman out with that experience so why do you think its okay to do so b/c he cannot speak for himself? Well, Im speaking for him. Im speaking for me. You need more training. I hope you seek some out so you dont crush another mothers heart when it comes to her baby.

I visited this salon last Thursday and asked for all over blonde. They told me they did not want to put color on my ends because they didnt want to damage my lightened hair and wanted to do a toner and color on my roots. They told me it would still be an all over color. However they charged me for a bunch of separate things that they never let me know about. It ended up costing twice than what I thought. After I left I noticed my roots were copper orange and did not match my hair. This made me feel very uncomfortable and not pretty. I had a birthday party that Sunday and I called ulta and they said the earliest they could get me in was Wednesday. So I had to feel not pretty at my party. I was told the manager would contact me. Its been a week and she never called me. I went in this morning to get my hair fixed and the manager told me that she thought she only needed to tone my hair and make it darker to fix it. Having wanted blonde hair I obviously didnt want that so she told me she couldnt fit me in today. I live 30 minutes away from this location so I drove an hour all together just for nothing to be fixed. Now I have to drive another hour to go back in on top of the hour it took to do it in the first place. So I already feel I over paid for a not great dye job but now have waisted a whole tank of gas just trying to get it fixed. Im sorry to be so negative. I love ulta I just cant believe how bad of an experience this has been for me.

How can I begin to rave about such an awesome store with all the beauty, make up, perfumes plus inventory? Its true! But, my review of five stars isnt because of the stores inventory. Im taking time in expressing my gratitude to all the young ladies especially Allie the beautiful senior hairsylist that did my hair high lites and new haircut! Awesome! No, its really not even about the haircut or the style. You see, I took my senior 83 year old "Tia" Aunt with me and Allie outdid any other hairstylists previous cuts. Tia looks absolutely lovely and ten years younger! Sadly, during our visit my Tia whom has advanced altzimers decided to leave as she gets confused and lost easily. As Im getting my hair done, Tia left. Shes fast when she wants to leave. Where she going? They call it sun downers. They just leave. Immediately ALL the staff made calls to surrounding stores, assisted in looking for Tia. It was as thou Tia was thier aunt. Thank God and all the lovely staff at Ulta and Target they quickly located my aunt. Some of Ultas staff ran to go get Tia from Target. For those few moments my Aunt was thier Aunt. Thank you! Ladies of Ulta. Tia is home safe. Both of us love our new look and our new salon. Merry Christmas and happy new year to all! Thank you for being such an awesome salon with a wonderful caring staff. I went in looking for a charcoal peel face mask. An associate came to ask if I had questions and so I asked her if they had what I was looking for. She said no they didnt (after I had already seen one in the store), and I havent felt that judged in a long time. She was sort of snotty as she told me it takes off first layer of skin and isnt good for you. That information is fine and appreciated, but her delivery was awful and she does not seem personable whatsoever. After that she was asking me what types of products I had used before and I told her. She suggested dermalogica and I proceeded to tell her that I had in fact used that product line before when it was recommended by a friend and that it burned each and every time I used it. She acted as if there was no at that was possible and was just a snob. I have never wanted to leave a store so fast in my life. I hope for her sake that shes just having a bad day. I hope for the companys sake they dont have too many employees like her. Terrible experience and I wasnt even in in there 10 minutes.
