Very helpful staff (Kenya, is a gem!), even though, I could tell this store was understaffed. Those ladies were working hard to help all of us...I am going to go ahead and say it... neighborhoods that are predominately populated by minorities get the least stocked or attended to stores. I feel like this is one of those stores. Sephora as a company needs to see that they could be "banking" in this area by increasing staff, services, and providing a large variety of products that are on hand all the time (and not out of stock). They need to focus their products to cater to women of color (like me). I want to see more makeup products that are for olive/yellow skin tones. I live in this area and make good money, I dont want to go all the way to the city or far into the suburbs to buy the beauty products that I need when theres a perfectly good Sephora store right in my neighborhood.

I have been to this location several times, just for the convenience that is close to my house, but the inventory is terrible, more than half of the time, the item is out of stock, it is dirty, and just a few days ago on a Saturday I went and purchased a foundation, on a Tuesday I tried to returned and I was told THEY ONLY DO EXCHANGE, I had the receipt and it was not cheap, it just was not good for my skin it made me super oily and it was the wrong shade, so the cashier gave me attitude and answered well let me check with my manager to see if is ok to do a return. So now I know, to just skip this location.

I have been to this Sephora inside JC Penney several times. It is smaller than regular stores, but convenient since I live nearby. However, the thrill of getting there quickly fades as I walk in and notice they are always running low on inventory, the make up testers are disorganized and theres very little help since there is only one store clerk during weekday hours. If youre going to have Sephora, do it right. Check inventory often and restock as needed. There is really no excuse to be constantly out of the most popular products.

This particular Sephora inside JCP is terrible. It is extremely messy and unorganized. Half the testers are broken, missing (probably stolen) and theyre not even in their correct place. Most of the stuff is not in stock and although the employees are usually helpful the store itself is terrible. The store also does not seem to be up to date as the standalone sephoras as the new products are never there. Youre better off going to a standalone Sephora, ordering online or maybe even any other sephora inside jcp.

This is by far the worst Sephora ever!!! I never write reviews on anything but this place is so bad. They need better customer service. They have NONE. I LOVE Sephora and this place always leaves me feeling disappointed! Completely kills the joy of having been to a Sephora :( The only times Ive been here is because its near my work. Other than that I always prefer to just wait until I get home and go to a REAL Sephora store. I just left today. Disappointed by their lack of customer service once AGAIN. :(

HORRIBLE STAFF. Not helpful at all. Rude. I went TWICE. And both times I went they only had 2 people working plus the cashier. The second time I went I asked a worker for help and she said "hold on Hun" and she went on to help someone else and NEVER helped me. I had to ask a different worker for help as soon as she clocked in. She helped me right away but her makeup advice was horrible. The foundations she kept giving me were so off from my skin tone. NEVER SHOPPING HERE AGAIN!

This is the worst Sephora I have gone to! Its the one nearst to my home but I would rather make the drive to oakbrook than go to this Sephora. Nothing is ever in stock and when you ask the workers to check the back THEY DONT! I waited 20min for someone to help me and they never did so I just left. You can tell the worker dont want to be there. They make me feel like a burden so I will not be returning!
