Amato Nissan on Port Washington Road is easily the best car dealership I have ever been to. It is a bit small, but the people there make all the difference. Heres my story. It starts with another dealer, so hang in there... Started my lease for 2008 350Z Roadster GT at another dealership (Boucher Nissan), and they treated me like crap there. Scammed me on the lease, baked in Insane "Extra Rent Charge" ($2500/year) in my lease on top of money factor that is part of regular finance charge. Over the years served up outrageous service costs ($3700 to change brake pads and rotors). Also, when my lease was coming to a close, Boucher wanted to offer me 8K below KBB fair trade in value. To compare, they had a used orange 2007 350Z base Coupe with 60K miles, listed for 6K more than they were offering for my black 2008 350Z roadster GT, with 38K miles. I asked why, the only thing sales guy could come up with was, well its orange, thats a rare color. What a joke. As a matter of fact, my experience with Boucher Service was so horrid, that I learnt to do all the maintenance on my Z on my own. So I guess some credit must be given to them for that. Needless to say, I was looking for a more honest Nissan dealer once my eyes were opened to how much they were ripping me off. Luckily I stumbled into Amato Nissan. Wow, what a change. They treated me well, explained everything, and when it was time for me to convert that lease to a purchase, the process was friendly, Finance manager explained everything with a smile, and the numbers all added up. When it was time for me to get another vehicle, 2012 Nissan Frontier, I shopped around. I was split between 2012 Nissan Frontier and 2012 Honda Ridgeline. I visited 5 different dealerships. While others were overly pushy, to the point they tried to make me as a consumer a little insignificant person (with exception to David Hobbs Honda, they were very nice as well). Too bad for them, I had learnt from my mistakes and was much smarter this time around. Amato Nissan once again was exceptional. Everything was done with a smile on their face, they showed me different options, explained every single detail on the costs, without any frustration, and patiently waited for me to make my decision. Honestly, I am upset I didnt start the lease of my 350Z here. I would have likely saved 10K over 4 years of lease, and not left the dealership with a bad taste in my mouth, especially when I was getting a 44K vehicle. Anyway, lesson learnt! Amato Nissan for the win. Two out of two experiences with Amato were more than pleasant. Needless to say, I will never give any of my business of Boucher Nissan or The Wilde dealerships. BTW, I have no affiliations with any of the dealerships. This is purely based on my experience. I cant guarantee that your experience would be the same as mine, but I have an inkling that once you try it out yourself, you will agree with me.

Tommy the sales manager and James the salesman are very rude and unprofessional. My husband went to pick up his car after having it brought in for repairs on Saturday. He got the call today that he could pick it up and he had until 8:30 to do so. I picked him up from work early, all the way in pewaukee just to make the time frame only to get there and to be told from Tommy that he can not get his keys and then James the salesman decided to stick in his nose and asked will do you have a spare key. It doesnt matter if he does have one or not you guys have his key and car and he needs it. The two didnt care if he got his car and told him there was nothing he could do. Excuse me, who leaves a manager in a store who doesnt have access to everything, hell who acts like theyre checking for keys that they know they dont have access to. The first thing out for his slick mouth should have been,"I apologize for the inconvenience on behalf of my service team for having you waste your valuable time in coming up here but I dont have access to your keys because I dont have the code but let me make sure we set up arrangements to have you picked up at 7am so we dont inconvenience you more." Instead Kim told my husband that he had to call in the morning to set it up and the other two didnt care one way or the other. How would put feel if you were in this situation, is what my husband ask them and they said that they understand, which is a lie because as manager you should be trying to mend this and at least pretend to care.

I went to this dealership originally looking for an affordable car. Although the salesman was helpful, I felt pressured to put money down on a proposal to lease a car that was neither in my budget or something that I was truly looking for. After leaving the dealership I had second thoughts and found a better deal elsewhere that was in my budget and something that fit me. When I called the dealership back to explain that I was no longer interested in going through with the lease, the manager Chris told me that it would be no problem to return my money and asked that I came in to the dealership with my receipt. Well, tonight when I came in to receive my refund I was not treated with the same kindness as on my first visit. I was berated by Chris, the manager who originally said I could have a refund, and was told that I was wasting their time. He was rude, unhelpful, and I have never been treated so horribly by management at any establishment before in my life. Just a warning out there, beware the pushy deals...because Chris doesnt keep his word and isnt afraid to verbally abuse you.

Purchased used car from them with 31,000 miles on it. We were assured it was completely inspected. Went to drive it home and the check engine light came on, the oil light came on, the coolant light came on and the car started bucking like a bronco. All this happening with my wife and daughter also in the car on the expressway. Took car back to dealership and were promptly blamed by Igor that it was our fault because we did not take it on the expressway before purchasing it. They told us it was completely inspected when it wasnt even vacuumed or inspected - they just threw it out on the lot. I wonder how many times it was sold before we got there. Be very careful going there. Typical car guys with typical car lies and attitude. Shame on them for endangering us and then blaming us for their lack of careing and not checking out their vehicles.

I worked with Tanya Winfield who is extremely knowledgeable, very down to earth and works hard for you to get you the best deal possible. I didnt just buy a car here, Tanya gave me a great memorable experience purchasing a car. I called in advance to make sure the car I was interested in was still available. It was, so we set up a time that was convenient for us both. When I came into the dealership Tanya had the car all ready to go for a test drive. It was smooth sailing all the way. Her follow-up is amazing too and she has a way of making you feel special. Thank you for the great car shopping experience Tanya. I highly recommend John Amato Nissan and Tanya Winfield if you want an easy, no BS car shopping event. I LOVE .. LOVE .. LOVE my new 2014 Nissan Altima S with all the bells & whistles.
