Oakwood mall has a variety of different stores and it will meet most of your basic needs with several popular chain stores. However the size of Eau Claire and its proximity to the Twin Cities I believe has made it difficult for Oakwood mall to thrive and keep such stores is Macys, which has gone out of business, and two other anchor stores that have been there since it opened have gone out of business as well. I personally avoid the mall when I can because there are several stand-alone store such as Walmart, target, Best Buy, Pier 1 and many others right across the street which I prefer shopping.

This malls is a great place for teenagers to hang out in on a Saturday or Sunday. Large food court and a theater, however the shops in the mall have been closing and becoming fewer. Places like Scheels and bath and body works have taken over multiple locations now and really reduced the overall selection. There is very little to do or any shops that people really enjoy other than a specific one so its more of a place that you go to for just that one item because its the only place you can get it rather than the place you go on a shopping spree at.

One of the better malls Ive been too, however across America we know malls are closing and stores are leaving. Macys will be closing soon and in the near future Sears and JCP will be. Im curoius how the owner will replace most of the square footage with new stores. Also I would like to see the owner invest in more housing options near the mall or within the outlots. But overall, plenty of parking and good clean stores. Easy to get around and the food court has good options.

Very nice mall and how they manage to stay competitive with so many stores closing (most have been national brands), is an amazing compliment to their management. Macy is the latest to close shop (March 17), and is Sears far behind? The Scheels and JC Penneys are great stores. Younkers will definitely benefit from the Macys closure. I wish the food court had more to offer. The attached theater complex is nice. One bad mark is their staying open on Thanksgiving. Bad idea.

Overall, not bad considering the next best thing is 1.5 hours away! The stores are small, which of course, limits the selection. (I grew up in the Twin Cities and just about died when I saw the teeny Daytons (Now Macys) and anchor stores!). Younkers and Macys have not updated their look since the day they moved in. JC Penney is still here, whereas they have closed in other malls, i.e. Wausau. I miss The Gap. Clean and accommodating to the "mall walkers."

Very clean including the restrooms! Great movie theater and a wonderful selection of food choices too. Employees are very friendly, helpful and go out of their way to assist you! Theres free WiFi available but you have to complete a sign up of some sort to be able to use it which I found kind of irritating, but overall a nice sized place with a great variety of quality stores to choose from - many with decently priced, affordable merchandise!

Its a pretty standard mall, although now that Sbarro closed, I have to wonder if it can still deserve that title. It still has a Spencers and a Hot Topic, so that probably keeps it in the running. Its clean, safe, has a nice play area for the kiddos and Kobes Japanese in the food court is one of the best places to eat in town. If you like mall shopping this is a great place to do it.

Its alright, The food court has some good options but a few different locations are pretty constantly changing. The mall is easy to Navigate because its just one long strip with a couple outlets to larger stores here and there. The staff is pretty nice over all, and the stores are decent as well. Nothing really outstanding though. It serves its purpose.

I just hate the mall, some may love it though. Just a personal opinion. I do enjoy a couple stores but wish they were more easily accessible, such as a standalone location or in a strip mall. Parking is usually terrible, but thats standard for a mall. Dont take pictures though, the security guards try to kick you out for selfies haha!!

Coming from the Twin Cities, this is the best mall Ive been to. The Oakwood Mall is the nicest looking and easy to get around. The shops are nice and the employees are even better and not because they are trying to make a sale. They make sure you get what you are looking for and more. Plus there are a couple unique shops

Big mall, has just about everything you could ever need/want. But the stores do seem to be overpriced, and sometimes the salesmen who operate the small stands in the center can be a little too...aggressive with their sales tactics. Overall, if your looking for something, chances are its at the mall...for a price.

Oakwood is a pretty average mall, so I gave it an average score. The entry/exit roads are a little confusing and allow more flow in than out, so that causes some congestion problems during heavy use. Has a childrens play center, a large assortment of stores and fast food. Can spend all day browsing or walking.

Ive been going here my whole life and its one of my favorite places in Eau Claire. Its got free wifi, a great selection of stores for all ages, a play area for your children, excellent bathrooms, and my personal fav, the food court! I recommend Kobes Japanese! Their chicken teriyaki is hard to beat!!!

This Mall is going down hill, and has been for few years. Stores closing, like Macys. Others like Younkers are over priced, and dont reflect the economy of this area. Sears seems to be on its last leg as does JC Penneys. As Malls go, its not too impressive, but its all Eau Claire has.

This is a great mall. Has almost all of the main fashion and shopping venues most would hope for in a town of this size. I would recommend coming here with the family. Otherwise, if youre looking for serious shopping, shop in the Dells or at other outlet mall locations.

The only think I like about this mall is the Scheels when Im passing through Eau Claire. The mall is plain, and even the Younkers is gone and Im assuming the Sears wont be far behind and those are its two anchors. Then what?

I dislike going here as they have few ways available to orient yourself and find where you want to go. Plus there are many boarded up/going out of business stores that its just depressing. There is no personality.

I hate the mall. But I like what they do for the kids. Trick or treating and the playground and Santa. Free Wi-Fi. For a big family where no one can agree one food the food court can b such a life saver!
