Consumer Alert! Called the store at random to set up an appointment for an eye exam. I was told to come on in that same afternoon for an exam. (First warning sign) I did not notice any ‘no refunds policy’ posted at the reception counter, nor was I told by anyone that such a policy existed. Exam was completed. I was up sold a prescription only eye lid cleaner called Avenova (cost $35), in case I suffered from Blephartis, which I don’t have. You can get a daily eyelid cleaner called OCuSoft over the counter starting at $8.79 for a once a day application for 30 days. Just as good as Avenova and $26.21 cheaper. (Second warning sign) Glasses were ready in two days. I wear no line trifocals. I’ve worn glasses since high school. So when it comes to buying glasses with or without insurance I’ve done it. When I checked out the glasses the bottom and middle levels were okay. Top level for distance was not okay. I wore the glasses for a little over 8 days before I gave up on the top level working correctly. I brought them back to Electra Vision. I explained the top level was blurry, middle and bottom levels were okay. I was re-examined again. The reasons/excuses for the top level not working was: my brain/eyes would not unlock for the top level even though I unlocked for the middle and bottom level. Second possibility was the lens material I chose was the wrong type needed for my tri-focal prescription. I ordered polycarbonate material that I have used for years with tri-focals. Third possible reason was her assistant messed up, i.e., didn’t send proper specifications to the lab, didn’t explain to me the differences in lens capability such as peripheral vision, and so forth. But no matter what, she wasn’t to blame. (Third warning sign) At this point I ain’t buying none of the reasons given to me. I’ve got $427 into a pair of glasses after insurance, that work two thirds correctly. Not to mention a pair of frames that are 20% heavier than my old ones. But that’s my fault as I picked the closest thing I could find in their limited inventory of frames. After some further discussion regarding who was the customer in this matter, and yes I was agitated. I was told by the good Doctor she did well enough that she didn’t need my business. Now the Doctor presents two solutions to the problem; I can get a free re-do without any guarantee the problem will be fixed, or I can spend another $107.00 on top of the $427 already paid to get new lenses made with an adjustment to the original prescription. I go with the $107 solution thinking the free re-do isn’t going to resolve the problem and I will be told I’ve run out of options. I picked up the glasses today. Hey they work! I should have known better to think I was going to get a pair of new glasses for less than $500 after insurance! I should have seen it coming!

The doctor is just incredible and the equipment is very high-tech, making this absolutely the best eye exam I have ever had in my life! No exaggeration, I didnt even know some of these tests existed before. I had the extra full eye scan that was offered and was amazed at the results. I really appreciated how the Dr. spent the time to review everything with me in detail and answer all my questions. She is so caring, engaging, and approachable, you can tell that she really enjoys her work! Front desk staff was also very friendly and professional and wait time was essentially nonexistent. Perfect experience! I would highly recommend Electra Vision to everyone!

I went there for contacts and glasses. Dr. Pittaras is very knowledgeable about the latest technology when it comes to contacts. She fit me with a lens that is much more breathable than what I had before. They feel amazing! I also love my new glasses. Very modern look. I am overall very satisfied with the high quality of service and product I received. Will definitely be going back.

Dr. Pitteras was extremely pushy, and strong-armed my wife into buying a type of glasses she didnt need. She also didnt explain her "no refund under any circumstances" policy before hand, and when my wife tried to cancel the order, just 30 minutes after making it, she refused. Since then she has been rude and impossible to deal with. Stay away!

Im very impressed with the Doc and her staff. Very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. This is not like going to a bargain place for glasses. Pricey, a little. But these are better glasses than Ive had in years and I can see so MUCH better! Dr. Pittaras has knowledge, skill and technology that I want for my eye health. Great job, Doc!

Just had my yearly check up with Dr. Pittaras. I always receive an throrough and complete eye exam. The office has all modern up to date equipment. I have cataracts and Dr. Pittaras has been keeping a close watch on my eye health. I have always received excellent care at her office i feel as though i am part of her family .
