my daughter and i went to cottage lake safeway this morning. We headed straight to the deli section and were waiting to order signature sandwiches to take with us . We waited and waited and waited...is it closed over here? we asked each other. Do we need to go stand way over there where 3 female workers were. Not a single person acknowledging we were standing there. So i go way over to the other side and say excuse me. the workers prepping for the deli one with a customer. The one with the customer says in a rude tone..someone will be with u in a minute after these customers are helped. the other workers prepping for the deli as this must be more important than helping your customers. so we go back and wait ..i go get a few items that we need and come back around still nobody helping my daughter who is still waiting. so i go ask again..the girl wrapping a chunk of deli meat says...i will be there in a minute in a rude tone....so we wait some more. Finally she comes and tries to be pleasantly rude as she takes our order. We finally get our sandwiches and i find mine is quite cold and she does not put the bacon on mine however decided to charge me for it. As we drive back home from the river where we had taken our sandwiches to eat... i say to her...its a good thing i have grown up because back in the day i would have taken that sandwich and thrown it back to her and shout u forgot the bacon b****!

This is my favorite Safeway. Its well lit and has plenty of walking space in the front and back of the store. Although, when it is crowded it can be a bit hard to get around. They still have self checkout here (yay!). Food is in stock and not expired, which is perfect because this is a grocery store. The parking lot is fairly easy to maneuver through and even on busy nights (like Sunday night), there are still parking spots. Carts are pretty plentiful, and we can usually snag a small black cart with no issue. Staff is friendly, although I honestly havent had to ask the staff any questions. There is a woman at the self-checkout that Im not a huge fan of. Shes said things to me before like "Stop touching it" "Dont mess with it" and once she shortly said "scuse me" as if shed been there for days waiting to help us, but we hadnt even noticed her behind us. Now that Im used to her, it goes fine. Those machine can be finicky, so once we have done our trouble shooting we just stand back with our hands where she can see them and let her do her job.

How the mighty have fallen. For years growing up in Cottage Lake I came here with my family. My mom frequently commented on how friendly the checkers were and would shop here regularly. Even now their sale prices are good, and the store layout is really fresh and modern thanks to the 2005 interior remodel. Unfortunately everything changed after Albertsons bought out Safeway. The staff has seen a big turnover -- the upbeat employees have been replaced with ones who look like theyre about to go home and commit suicide once their shifts are over. Yesterday I had to wave and get the attention of the attendant at self-checkout for help with a price check after she ignored my request from the register, and even then her attitude couldnt have been more indifferent. I much prefer the downtown Woodinville Haggen or even Target to our old Safeway now. The experience is much less depressing. Even the employees at the Woodinville County Market were more pleasant than these people, and their store was about to be shut down. Go figure.

I had a very frustrating experience at Safeway today and Ive been noticing more & more of this. I had a list of only 10 items. 4 out of 10 were out of stock. For the second day in a row. Normal stuff, like eggs & whip cream. There were plenty of items that were almost the same, but obviously not what any one wanted. For goodness sake it is so obvious what people really want Order More of That & less of the off stuff!!! And in the same category, EVERYONE wants the small carts. Order MORE. The baggers are out collecting them all the time, because there are not enough. I go to a lot of grocery stores & NONE of them have this problem. Because they have MORE of them. I dont even go into Safeway anymore without looking for a cart in the parking lot & taking it in myself.

I shop here often and the last year or so it seems to have gone down hill a little. I could always expect nice fresh produce from here, not any longer. Most fruits and veggies look like theyve had a rough go of it. Too bad this was my go to grocery store now I dread having to stop. Lines are always really long, seems like its under staffed. The employees are still great and they seem to be doing their best. Dont know what has changed, considering Safeway was purchased by Albertsons maybe standards arent what they were. Now I make time on my lunch to shop instead of stopping after work at my neighborhood Safeway.

The Safeway I shop at in Woodinville Washington has way too many things sitting out in the aisle at the end of the checkout at the beginning of the checkout you can barely get through the store Im going to quit shopping there if things dont change I know liquor is bottom line makes you a lot of money and its fine being there but my lands its all over the store in the middle of the Isles in front of the meat counter everywhere I can barely get into Starbucks area I can barely get through other Shoppers going down the aisles very bad I have complained and it does no good it gets worse

Safeway at Cottage Lake has once again tried to charge me a higher price than that posted on the shelf. Went to buy a bottle of Vodka for a gift and got charged $3.00 more than the shelf price. It happens nearly every time I go there; its ridiculous!!! AND now they have found a way to make saving money more complicated yet by inventing the click and save coupons that you need to scan with an expensive phone or go to the computer to enter you card number and have the coupon applied that way. What a load of crap!!!!!! Once again wishing I could rate it less than one star.

Good store. While it tends to be a little more expensive I still go here because of what a staff member did about a year or two ago. I was really running late before a trip, and got a few things for a sack lunch, but by the time I got to the counter, I realized that I was about 5 bucks short. Instead of turning me around, the checker told me not to worry about it and put it on the house. If it wasnt for this, I would probably choose something less expensive, but it still is a good store.

After moving to the Seattle area 7 years ago, this has become my go-to grocery store. Though I now live in the city of Seattle, I still get my prescription filled here because the pharmacy staff treat you like long-time friends! Ive never had anything but wonderful service and hospitality at this location, and Id highly recommend it to anyone in the area.
