I had an excellent experience buying a bike at Bonney Lake Bicycle Shop of Sumner. It took me three or four visits to their shop plus a couple of phone calls there, before I finally settled on a bike. I had compared prices at other bicycle shops and Bonney Lake was competitive. I found that this shop was well managed, had excellent experience on the sales floor and good mechanics in the service area. I have since returned to buy fenders and other accessories and my good experience there continues. This shop treats their customers well in my opinion in order to gain returning customers. They have been in business for over twenty years and I had purchased tires there years before with a good experience back then as well. I believe in supporting your local bicycle shop and if you live in the area of Sumner, I would recommend this shop to you. Tuneups are free for the life of the bike you buy from them. They have been around for over twenty years so I dont think they are going anywhere. I returned to the shop to buy some pedals and again received good service while they installed them for me. They reminded me to bring the bike back for its first free tuneup as soon as I get some miles on it, and to make it soon as they get busy with tuneups in the Spring.

I shouldve listened to the other reviews saying these people are dismissive and terrible to their customers once they have a sale. I dont even care about the "free tuneups for life" on my bike, I will never set foot in this store again. When I mentioned how hard it was to get service or even get acknowledged in their store, "Marshall" responded and said, "Well, you could ASK for service." Im sorry, Im supposed to ASK for customer service in a place that SELLS something?? Youd think theyd know that thats their job. I spent nearly $700 in that store in less than a month, and couldnt get anyone to even acknowledge my presence to save my life. Sorry excuse for a business, sorry excuse for customer service, AND they deleted my post on their Facebook page criticizing their practices. I mean, I left that store IN TEARS over frustration at not being able to obtain even basic service. Its deplorable, and shameful. Plenty of other places would love my business, and I plan on giving it to everyone except these people. Far and away the worst service Ive ever received from a small business in my entire life.

Would be negative stars if I could... Worst customer service ever! Bordering on rude, definitely dismissive. Ive tried this place out a few times over the years, after all they are my LBS. Every time Ive left paying too much- often for work I didnt ask them to do. This last time I specifically asked for them to adjust the length of my chain (a new replacement I put on) and they said no problem. A quick 5 minute job for any seasoned mechanic. A day and half later, with no phone call to tell me its done, I stopped by to pick it up. $30 later Im walking out the door. Apparently they decided to do a full drive train tune up because "thats standard when we put on a new chain". If you dont inform the customer that work needs or will be done its not fair to charge for it. Completely dishonest without a hint of apology.

Took my Specialized Pitch Comp in for some repair, had thought I would fix it myself but quickly realized it was more than I was comfortable with. The Gentleman at BLBS took the time to help me prioritize the work needed which allowed me to stay in my budget, even going so far as to point out what I may be able to fix myself in order to save some money. A couple days later the repairs are done and the bike rides great, I am so excited to be on the road again after saving for several months for the repair. The price was very reasonable and the peace of mind that comes with a professional repair is priceless. I will certainly return to BLBS and recommend you give them a try as well.

Quick accurate answers to a variety of road bike questions. I needed a replacement tire and wanted the same one that came with the bike. It had to be ordered. It came the next day at a price below internet. They told me I would be called when it came in. No call. I had to call them, therefore, subtract a star. I needed new cleats for the clipless pedals. I mentioned the internet price; they matched it. Super competitive ! Its a great place to go for all my biking needs. Im retired, ready to ride, and have just completed the Courage Classic for the second year in a row. You wont be disappointed in Bonney Lake Bicycle Shop of Sumner.

I was totally ripped off I took him my own parts and asked if he would just put them on for me and he quoted me a price of 15 bucks to put on a chain ring and a cassette I said okay I also told him to replace the shifter cable which was 3 bucks when I went and picked it up my bike they charged me $60 totally feel taken advantage of and ripped off I would not suggest anyone taking their bike there one other thing when I did get my bike back they didnt even bother wiping it down it was totally covered with grease and fingerprints I ended up having to clean it myself they can at least wipe it down very sloppy and shoddy workmanship

Ive taken several bikes in to the Sumner location for service and have never been disappointed. In fact I took my nephews bike in twice in a six month period because hes a kid and did what kids do....screwed up his shifter. The guys at BLBS gave me a more than fair price on the second repair (when they heard I was going to teach my nephew a lesson by having him mow my lawn to pay me back for the repair.) Theyve always been helpful and friendly. I ride the Foothills Trail and stop into their Orting location for supplies often. I love supporting local businesses and I love BLBS!

I bought my road bike last year from Bonney Lake Bikes and have been happy I made the decision to buy from them since that day. Not only did they help me get fitted to the bike but they all put up with my questions about every little bit. I searched at least 4 other bike shops in the area and found one that wasnt so stocked and another that was overly snooty about their selection. Bonney Lake Bikes has done an amazing job at keeping me a customer and I would recommend checking them out first and last if you need a bike purchase, itll be worth your time.

Wanted to donate my bike to a serviceman with a brain injury who could no longer drive. He had a bike but it was stolen a few days ago. Took my bike to Bonney Lake Bicycle Shop and explained the circumstances. They immediately went to work, verifying the only part needing replacing was the "free wheel" mechanism. They replaced it on the spot, got me in and out within 10 minutes and didnt charge for labor. The bike will be delivered to the serviceman later today! Everyone was professional, helpful, reassuring - just great! I cant thank them enough!
