I have been a loyal customer for over 45 yrs. And had always told people to get your protection plan. But now the service sucks! Why cos we psy so much for this protection plan a year plus we have everything we purchased in appliances an equipment and tools. Now when I call for a service technician to come out for service they want me to have the model # yr. Purchased, me to describe the problem which is fine but asking me to do this n do that or turn off the breaker count to ten an turn back on an put the phone next to the range so she can hear wats going on only to tell me that the technician she is speaking to says the fan running is normal an there is nothing wrong. But we know better cause all this time we had it,it was not loud like it would explode. So not getting nowhere w/her we finally asked for someone to come out n do a yearly check. But dats not all I called first n when I tried to explain n asked her to listen she thought I was being rude n sed to me that I should not talk to her like that an she hung up on me.so then I had my husband call back. Problem still not solved.I am going to tell everybody not to buy sears protection agreement cos what you pay for the plan they want you to repair it urself over the phone.Her customer service is terrible n she should be terminated. Cause with that attitude?? People like her will ruin Sears.

Silverdale/ Sears is they worst department store I have dealt with in a long time. The girl was rude selling me the oven and constantly answered phones in middle of helping me without saying excuse me or anything. I had to leave to go to another clerk to finish my order. I get oven delivered and they cant get out my old one. He tells me to try to get done as soon as possible and they can come back and put new one in today. So we fixed problem and I made appointment 10 days ago and they dont call or anything. I call today cause Im at home waiting for them. Sears tells me claim dennied, what. I paid for them to take old stove and install new one today. I also have appointment I set up today and never knew otherwise. I asked her why I wasnt told when we set up appointment or prior today. Even better they wont take stove back.. Glad Im not old and just screwed. I will find help.. I will let all my friends know how sears sucks..

While trying to set up dryer repair service, they had me pay for a protection plan in advance. 2 out of 3 customer service reps that tried to help me, were very difficult to understand, and as a result, there were several miscommunications, I had to call customer service 3 times to find out that the technician arrived earlier than my scheduled time and left because I wasnt there yet. When I called to find out where he was, I was informed that he had left the area and couldnt come back, so I would have to reschedule. Now I have to try to get back the money I already paid to them, because I will not be giving them my business.

So apparently you cannot make a debit card payment over the phone on your layaway. WTF? This makes no sense to me. They did it once but today they refused to. If convenience of customers is a priority here this needs to be changed. If you can use the same card online you should be able to use it over the phone. To make matters worse, just to make a payment online I have to go through a registration process that Id rather not go through. I bit the bullet and did it anyway and it said "cannot complete registration. Try again later." I am SO annoyed right now!

Sears, after 30 years of buying, is still my go to place for most of my tool buying. They usually have some pretty good deals and sometimes you get "Surprise Points" and a coupon. Today I picked up a 230 piece socket/mechanics set "valued" at $199 for $65. Very pleased. Almost all with life time warranty. If you shop smart, you can get some amazing deals. Sadly they are begging for business and understaffed, but still a great place for tools.

Terrible customer service and snotty management team who argues with customers. The return policy is a joke that the store wont even give you an exchange without the receipt or store credit. They have lost my business and I doubt this store will last much longer.
