A little over a year ago, I bent down to pick up a spray bottle product for mold and mildew. The top was defective. I turned to walk and the whole top came off and it hit the floor. A large amount of the liquid hit me mostly in the eyes, face, and front of my shirt. My son was with me. My eyes and face were burning severely. I started screaming get me a bottle of water and paper towels. I couldnt see anything. An employee came and gave my son water and paper towels. I was walking through the main part of the store flushing my eyes with water trying to get to the bathroom. I get to the bathroom and some manager starts talking to me while Im trying to flush out my eyes. I told my son to get the bottle and when he came back I had him call poison control. The manager was of no help to me at all. While Im going through this, she tells me that this is not a KMART brand product. She doesnt ask me if Im ok or need an ambulance. Shes worried about KMART. I told her I had to go to the emergency room. I could barely see. I asked her for the product to take to ER. She actually told me I had to pay for it. I was still flushing my eyes. I said after whats happened your going to try and make me pay for it? She spoke somebody and they gave it to me. The ER was a horrible experience. They had to put plastic things under my eyelids and flush them with saline. While my eyes were being flushed I was crying at the same time because they hurt so badly. Theyre complete morons that are in that store. You cant find anybody to answer a question. The big buttons your supposed to be able to push for service dont work. I only go there, like most people in our county, because its the only large store in our county.

Frank: Go into store with a list of 12 needed items, youre lucky to find 3 of those needed items in stock,on shelf, completely different than Walmart, in contrast which always seem to have items in stock and which will have at least 11 of the 12 items in stock. Store has no sense of "customer service" while long lines exist at check-out lanes, their cashiers waste customers time in line trying to get customers to sign up for their rewards and other company issued plans ( required by company to do so, as advised so by one cashier they were required to do so, after coming to existing line in garden shop and being tenth in line) while customers have to wait, and the lines get longer-"Customer Service? at the expense of the customer?, Company/Store has no sense of the word! When such lines exist, cashiers should be advised to just cash customers out for " customer service!

It was all and tolerable, even with the dinosaurs they have as cash register that take forever to process transactions. And then yesterday night one of the employees came into the bathroom while i was changingy baby, slamming doors, mumbling bad words at me under her breath and behaving very violent and angry around me, acting like she wasaid going to physically try to hurt me with my 1 month old baby on the changing station, almost pushing my husband outtakes the way to get to the break room and slam the door on us as hard as she could. Thats what happens when you hire lazy, uneducated probably going through crack withdraw symptoms people. This store is the worst in town but theres no wallmart or any other store like this in lakeport and thats the only reason people have to put up with going there.

The experience was lousy! I was kept on hold for over 15 minutes. I drove from the driveway to KMart and walked inside the store and asked for a manager while still on hold. Only then when the girl who put me on hold heard what her manager was being called up front for, did she pick up the phone and ask me if I was being helped yet. "Really"? The kids today have NO IDEA what good/great customer service is and means. They can care less. I wish that the Lakeport KMart would close its doors and be replaced with a good retail store that wants the good customers of Lake County to have a wonderful shopping experience and making sure they return again and again.

Nice clean store friendly employees but electronics has been cut back and its hard to find items you want or they just dont have it personally I would go to Walmart in Clearlake you almost assured to find what you want they have a larger selection of electronics

not sure what the heck is up with the negative reviews, k mart has most of what i need and its not a bad store the people there are much nicer than any walmart Ive stepped foot into and the prices are decent. much better deals offered compared to walmart.

Just super slow high priced and really poor service. They where super rude one lady refused to even listen to what i was asking. But then got upset when i grabbed it of the very top shelf ... Ya they need people skills and better training

This place is a joke, they only have 1 cashier at a time but 5 employees standing around. Im not surprised Kmart is closing more and more stores. Hopefully they will level this place and build a Walmart, something actually worth a damn

Employees need a Serious attitude adjustment. Talking smack about customers while they are standing there and threatening to put your stuff away while your shopping really makes it impossible to even Try to shop here.

what a grand place to be. v warm and friendly enviroment w good, honest customer care. if youre looking for shampoo, a blouse, or a friend, Kmart is the right place to go. would highly recommend.

Cashier never asked me for my "Shop your way rewards" card. At the end of the transaction I asked about it and she replied "well its too late to apply your card now"

I would say 1/2 the staff is ok, smiles, and is friendly. The rest are like zombies. Pizza place there is awesome. Lots of merchandise. And some really nice stuff.

Its ok...usually really busy with not many check stands open...they wont take ANY returns without a receipt. ..its kmart, so you get what you pay for!

It offers check cashing and sells likeable items. Store is pretty shabby for a Kmart. Electronic section is pathetic.
