This branch of Walmart offers terrible customer service. The employees are very lazy often just lying instead of trying to help with customer service. Examples: 1. Me: I needed to find a pumice stone. Walmart Employee: I dont think we sell them. 2. Me: I need balloons filled with helium. Walmart Employee: You need to make an appointment for more than 15 balloons to be filled. Me: I only want 10 balloons filled. Walmart Employee: I dont think we can fill those kinds of balloons and even if we do they wont be ready for 2 hours. Note: The balloons clearly stated HELIUM on the package. Also, when I asked about the Walmart Balloon Rules and why it would take so long to fill balloons the Walmart employee informed me that it was just the way that HE knew it had to be done. 3. Me: Was shopping with my sister who had gotten snarky with the electronics cashier. Walmart Employee: Refused to assist me even though I had not said anything to her. She stated: "Ive had enough of YOU people, if you want help go to the front of the store." 4. Me: My niece was 1 and throwing a fit in the store, so I was in the process of carrying her out. I did not continue to shop. Walmart Employee: As I was passing the cash registers in the front one of the cashiers said: "That child is awful, and if it were mine I would hit her." 5. Me: My nephew had a double ear infection and the Walmart pharmacy had kept me in the store for 2.5 hours trying to figure out the problem with his insurance. With my nephew there, who was in pain, and 2 years old at the time. Walmart Employee: The pharmacy told me that they were closing and to go home and "rough it out" until the insurance issue was fixed. Note: I immediately went across the street to the Fred Meyer Pharmacy, which was closing in an hour. I came in crying because my nephew had been crying in pain for hours and I hadnt been able to get the medicine for him. The Fred Meyer Pharmacy, took the insurance info and filled the script before they even had approval from the insurance company. They even had the problem fixed before we left. Walmart had listed my nephew as a girl. I no longer shop at this Walmart and I strongly encourage anyone who has had problems there to complain to management and write negative reviews! CONSUMERS BEWARE!

THIS IS THE WORST STORE EVER and because of my experience here, I will never shop at Walmart in my life. The staff is rude (particularly management) and theyre completely unknowledgeable and lazy. The lines are extremely long and no one cares to alleviate this problem, which is extremely irritating when you see about 20 people in a line and there are only 2 or 3 lines open. Also, there have been 2 occasions where I have called to see if they had a specific item I was looking for. On one occasion, the employee said, "No," but since I was nearby I decided to come in any way and I found the item I was calling about. This is so frustrating; these people are so lazy and dumb. Then, I provided my information so they can contact me when they received a item I was waiting for and they never contacted me and when I happen to stop by the store the other day, I saw the item I was looking for, but there was only one left and I was pissed because I needed several. They never have what I need. At this point, it is totally worth it to drive the little extra distance to Target and get better service and way better quality products, for pretty much the same price.

I always have a problem finding someone to answer questions. Everyone seems like they are stocking prodcut and not aware of their surroundings. I have learned if you look at an employee (blue shirt people) and tey just look away immdieatley then i consider them like its not their job, or they dont know. i have passed up on bikes, pet food, meat, and vehicle repairs becuase no one answered my questons. I have went there with my checks from work and cashed them a day in advance no problem. Since they wouldnt do bank drops until next day anyway a staff member stated, but go back two weeks later and get denied. When telling the staff lady she laughed and said it would still be dated for today. And i said right but there is also a time as well and its after 4:00 pm? Whats the problem? still denied. the lady ahead of me was mad the lady in back of me was mad. other than getting cheap groceries...expect to get cheap service as well.

This is the best Wal-Mart in the area. It is NOT crowded like the Wal-Mart in Lacey tends to be. (@angela h. : "This store is crowded day and night"?? And you feel qualified to make that judgment when youre obviously just passing through for beer?? Do us Washington residents a favor, princess, and stay in Nevada.) Anyway, the employees in this store are laid back in a small-town way that I find appealing. And guess what? If you approach them WITH COURTESY they are very helpful, as is the case anywhere. The feel of the Lacey Wal-Mart is military and thats not my scene, so we travel an extra 5 miles to shop at this Wal-Mart, which also has much fresher produce. The produce manager has pulled fresh stock from the back for me when the displays were still full. That is the service that I receive in this store. But then again, I make eye contact, smile, and say please and thank you. Try it; it works wonders.

I shop at Walmart because they have everything I need with one stop. But the customer service is ridiculous regardless of what time or day you shop there. There are almost always lines up front and most of the registers are closed. I sometimes go to the back electronic dept to pay for my goods. The last time I was there standing at the counter waiting to pay for my two items I was so disappointed in the service here. Four employees at different times walked by me, looking at me knowing I was waiting to cash out and did not once offer to help or ask if I needed help. After about twenty minutes someone came to help me. I will continue to shop at the Shelton Walmart because there arent many options here and because I like the one stop shopping. Someone really needs to train management in customer service.

This store was opened before the one in Tumwater. This is a very large Super Center. This store had a greeter at the entrance. There were helpful employees around if one looked. Check stands were open in the Garden department, Sporting goods, Electronics, and both ends of the front check stands. The checker bagged our purchases, handed me the receipt and said thank you. When we reached the exit the greeter said "Thank you for shopping at Walmart, have a good night." This store demonstrates appreciation for the customer. There are four Super Center and one Neighborhood Market Walmart closer to my home, but this one beats them all in service and friendliness.

They are always out of at least half of the items on my shopping list every time. They constatly discontinue items I buy regularly. The staff is so sparse that you can never get help when you need it. I once waited 20 minutes to try on clothes and actually had to call the store to request help to the fitting room. I know the people who work here work hard, but theyre so stressed because this company doesnt employ enough staff. The wait at night when checking out is ridiculous! They close the self-check too early which makes NO SENSE. Why not have 1 person manage many self-checks instead of 1 cashier with a line of 15 people waiting?!
