First the good: The sales rep was very friendly and very helpful and they got me a pretty good price on a nice used truck. The Bad: everything after I drove off the lot. I was told before purchasing the truck that they do an inspection (I think 139-point inspection) to make sure every used vehicle they sell is good to go. On the way home (about an hour away) from the dealership, literally the drive home, I noticed a whine coming from the steering and a slight vibration occasionally at highway speeds. I figured I was being paranoid and it was a new truck with the vibration but the squeal was definitely there. So, the same day I purchased the truck theres an obvious issue. I emailed as soon as I got home thinking that they would "take care of me" as had been repeated to me over and over throughout the buying process. Later the same week, after driving a grand total of about 90 miles since I left the dealership the check engine light comes on. This time I called and asked what they could do, apparently the light had come on during this "inspection" that they do but it had not been fixed, they said they would take care of that free of charge, which they did within 2 weeks of the light coming on. Thats two issues brought up with under 100 miles of driving off the lot. The final issue was the vibration which I occasionally felt but wasnt a huge issue and I didnt even really think much of it until I brought it to another shop to have OTHER work done and they told me the wheel bearing is loose. I dont drive this truck that much, much less than 100 miles/ week. The light issue was taken care of free of charge within two weeks which was great, I expected them to do something. The other issues have taken almost two months to get sorted out despite it being brought to their attention the day I bought the truck and only got taken care of because I had unhappily filled out surveys and called and emailed multiple times a week. I left the truck there for two weeks (they did provide me with a rental car free of charge) so they could fix the wheel bearing and the steering issue and then they come to me with a bill for almost $900. So I spent $17,000 on a used truck that has 3 obvious issues within the first week of driving it and now I have the pleasure of paying for it despite claims that they thoroughly inspect every used vehicle and will "take care of me". I called an told them all of this and I got the payment down to $450 which is still too much for all the headache and two months of no answers and having to harass them to get anything done. The moral of all this: I would definitely not recommend these guys for used cars. They claim to do a thorough inspection of the used vehicles they sell but have demonstrated that they not only do not but they also dont stand behind the vehicles they sell. I understand the nature of used vehicles but these are issues that should have been obvious upon their inspection and that should have been taken care of before the truck was put on the market. I went to a reputable dealership and spent a little more I could avoid buying a new to me vehicle that need immediate repair and little support after driving off the lot. If I had to do it all again, I would have bought a similar truck for a few thousand less at a used car lot (I was looking at a couple) or private sale and paid for the same repairs and I still would have come out ahead.

Most of you wont spend the time to read this entire review, but if you do, I believe that you will gain the type of understanding you want when your deciding where to buy your next car. First Id like to share my frustrations I ran into while buying our familys most recent vehicle. We started out with the usual.. save, decide on a vehicle that would suit our needs, research average prices of the vehicle we were interested in. Okay the search begins, 100s of online choices to weave through, we drove the first Craigslist candidate, liked it(check!), and to be sure it was mechanically sound we paid 86$ and waited 3 hours for a full inspection, and the car checked out(check!). Now lets make a deal. Problem was that the vehicle was not owned by the "seller". "They are out of town, cant be reached, but really wants them to sell their car."...No Deal.(no check!)Next came candidate #2 this time at a dealer to avoid scams like that. drove the car, drives good(check!) got a quote 3,000 above our budget (no check) and continued our search. Well with not much luck and stress building quickly, we decided to extend our budget and get #2. So we went back, paid 86$ on inspection to be sure its worth it (check) and sat down to see that an extra 3,500$ on top of their original 3k over our budget quote.(NO CHECK!) No deal and were out almost 200$ with no car. Then as we thought our luck has changed, we found the car we were looking for at a dealership!, at a price in our budget in Maryland! the drive was an hour and a half away but this seemed worth it to our family in the long run. Well another inspection and 3 hours of waiting, the car is not mechanically sound and sketchy details about the car were continually unveiled. This supposedly 2005 had a cassette player....hmmm....what? vin numbers werent matching up hmmm... and what year did they stop putting ash trays in vehicles hmmm..? (NO CHECK) No Deal!, entire day wasted....maybe we dont need a car. I felt like I should have gone to my doctor for meds to deal with this unique stress or start counseling. And Then.. To the rescue comes Chevrolet of Puyallup! Unbelievable, Noticed a car in their inventory, first talked to Michelle to setup an appointment. She answered questions patiently, explained their car grading scale which means there is not one car on their lot that they grades under 60%( goes up to 100% which would be a brand new car) and that they auction off the undesirables(they probably go to Maryland). The car we are interested in has a score of 88%. very comforting to know before we make a sequel to the Maryland experience. Okay!... its on. We drive into the lot and have a welcoming comparable to a five star hotel. Drive the car(drove better then everything else) come back to the lobby, our kids are given snacks, Chevy water bottles and Helmut our sales guy makes my wife and I coffee while we wait for price options. Our entire family of 6 was treated like gold, even the sales manager (Paul) came over to greet each of our kids. These people, are wonderful, true professionals. Of course we bought the car, it was the dream car buying experience. And what makes no sense is even their price beat the other guys. Stop by this place first, be happy, stop by even if your not buying a car, they just make people happy.

Nice selection, but... I knew the exact car I wanted, I had already driven it before and just had to get a few ducks lined up before I pulled the trigger. The day came and I went down to get my Camaro. At first they couldnt find it, no keys, no papers, nothing. I was worried it may have been sold... but we finally found it around back. It was filthy, covered with dirt and bird poop and dried on polin dust. I looked it over best I could (it was very dirty so it was hard to fully inspect the paint). Then went in side to make a deal. The people were fairly nice and friendly and didnt have that sleezy, crooked feeling. I got a deal that was decent and the exact car I wanted, so I cant complain about that. Waiting for the loan papers was insainly long... just under 3 hours! I was pre approved thru my bank and planned on using it. But the loan guy convinced me to use some no name bank because he could get me a whole percent lower interest and "save we well over 20. A month" I finally agreed to it. Big mistake. The bank is not local and I cant just walk in to make payment or do stuff. They do have online banking, but are REQUIRED to open a checking account with them (monthly fee) to use it. Also, for whatever reason, it only lowered my payment 8.00 a month! What? When I got the car home, the next day I went to wash it. They did supposidly "detailed" it but it was covered with water spots and the interior smelled really strong like lysol. So as I washed it. I noticed two small door dings on the passenger door. Not major, but noticeable... this car was supposed to be new! There was no way they could have got there just sitting alone in my driveway overnight. Also, I noticed two dings in one of the rims, like maybe from hitting a curb... again, impossible to have happened in my curbless driveway overnight. Maybe I am being a little picky... but seems to me I paid good money for a brand new Camaro to take to car shows with a camaro club... with dealer installed dings and all. They also install their own alarm system, and charge you extra if you want to keep it. If you dont, they put a dummy plug in the after market alarm recepticle, but leave the big ugly plug hanging in the foot well. It could be removed (leaving screw holes) but it is just hashed in to the ignition harness pretty bad using butt splices and T-taps, which will leave a rats nest and dangling connectors once removed.... I called the service department about the door dings and the rim and the guy I talked to said, "we wont be able to do anything about it unless you can prove it happened on our lot before you bought it." I told him it had to have happened there because I didnt go anywhere else but home, and nothing could have happened to it in my driveway over night... he said, "prove it". I plan on talking to the service manager there soon as I am back in town. Despite the large selection, I may think twice about going there again... doesnt seem like they take the best care of the cars on their lot and may not stick by them. The poor cleaning job, and the hack job for the alarm makes me a little nervous about taking it there for future service.
