1- rude shoppers. This rude woman cut me in line and had the guts to say no and kept going with her check out. Worst, she left a bunch of soup in the counter, basically marking her territory, ordered her stuff at the "take out food" and came back in front of me. I was already at the cashier, ready to pay, when she passed behind me to order her food. Cut in line and used her cans to mark territory. There is no such a thing. Rude! 2- of course there were no cashiers while I was there. Where are they Safeway? U r pricey and not enough ppl to work? 3- as soon as that ridiculous woman finished with her order, they employee named Brandon helped her to make her payment while I was already waiting for someone to take care of me. He didnt even look at me! Yet he got her right way. I said that I was already there and we kept talking about it while Brandon didnt step in at all, just kept looking. Btw you, Brandon, had just served me food 1 minute before serving the rude woman. Thought hed say " oh yeah... she is in front you. Ive just put her food in a box". Nope! Nothing! Hellloooo, Uve just served me food. Wake up!

This is my home location Safeway store and I so love the curtious and kind way the staff treats every individual from the cart guys in the parking lot too the courtesy clerks helping with my groceries out too my car too staff walking around the store and working . Always not problem finding someone too help me with the tall stuff and heavy stuff witch is pretty much anything over 3 lbs as I have osteoporosis in my spine and they never let me down. Always a smile and never a complaint. When I check out most cashiers know me by name and that is the best I am a familiar face to them and them too me. I shop their with confidence that they will go out of their way too be sure I have a pleasant and happy experience every day no matter how early or late and I have been their before at 2 am lol not too often though. Love the managers too. Thank you all for helping this disabled lady have a better life. Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow too you all. Sincerely a happy shopper Elizabeth Harrison. of Lakewood.

I collected Farberware stamps for the last couple months spent almost $800 around Christmas time finally got enough to get a 12 inch pan the lady in the store found it for me. To get up to the cash register and be told that I cannot get the pan but I collected all the stupid stamps for. Because I have to buy something and it couldnt be the right path because it doesnt have two handles only one. After waiting 20 minutes for the lady to go get me the pan from the back and another 30 minutes in line since they only had two lines and a zillion people I will never shop at the Safeway again I was very embarrassed by to win an outright telling me that is not the right pan and you have to buy something in order to get what is an for spending $4,000 in there stupid store horrible experience dont ever shop at the Safeway in Lakewood

No car .....can not wait to get a new car and go back to Fred Meyer in UP. This Safeway is always crowded, not enough cashiers and the WORST baggers. This is the second week I have spent $150-$200 on groceries and so can not self checkout that many items. Bagger tossed cans with bannanas, smashed meat packages. I am very organized in placing my items on the belt but it is an unorganized mess when the bagger is done. He does not even look at what he is doing....spent his time asking the cashier about his break times. Cashiers do not help either....they just keep shoving food along the belt and do not care about the bagging either. I HAD to rebag everything.....I go next to customwr service, so they can see what I am doing....but they never even ask what is wrong lmao smdh.

Allthough the quality of food and choices are great here I would rather shop elsewhere. Prices are high. Store is overly busy most of the time. If you manage to not get mowed down in the overly busy parking lot your left to deal with the lines, the overhead PA anouncements that are constant and far too loud (enuf for me to grab my bread and get out), and most recently the restroom that is kept locked, and everytime you ask to use it they will give you a code that "for some reason" wont work. Dont get me started on that app for your smart phone, what a hassle. Oh well Safeway, you have lost me to Fred Meyers. I wont have tis experience again.

This Safeway is cleaner than most and the people are usually friendly. I live between a Walmart and this Safeway and I usually choose the Safeway. I havent had any problems with items from here. The biggest issue is the wait time to check out. The wait to check out is usually longer than the shopping. That is my only problem with this location. I understand that its busy and a very popular location for the area, but sometimes youll wait in line for 10-20 minutes. I recommend shopping during not busy hours.

The people who take care of the produce section should do a better job of removing the moldy/old pieces. There were several moldy oranges and the grapes we purchased turned out old and somewhat moldy. There was also a squash that looked ancient, with a cracked and moldy bottom. I dont know whats going on there, but they kind of need do a better job if they want to keep charging what theyre charging. Fred Meyers section is a lot bigger and nicer, guess Ill stick with going there.

I was distraught when my favorite milk — Lucerne Skim Creamy — was not stocked at my Safeway in the Lakewood Towne Center for over a week. I asked a staffer, Elijah, and then the manager, Joey, to find out if this product had been discontinued. Lo and behold, today, the milk is well stocked. Thanks to Elijah and Joey for their help in keeping this milk in the fridge. I find all of the staff at my Safeway store very helpful and considerate. They smile a lot! So do I! Val

I am not sure if this store is going away. The last 4 months they arent reordering products I normally get here and each month another disappears. When I try to find an alternative they are low on everything. The latest frustratition is that there are no carry baskets every to be found. The fruit and vegetables are old and the flowers dying.....month by month things are getting worse. Guess I need to keep hoping for a change and just find another place to shop.

I have been doing business with the Lakewood Safeway since the mid 1960s and have found them to be an excellent store. Havent had a problem with their friendliness, . courtesy or helpfulness. I will admit every so often there will be a clerk that has probably had a bad day but, overall I have no complaints. I will also add that I am impressed with the produce section of the store, the employees are very helpful and friendly.
