I used to really like visiting this whole foods for my shopping needs. Many of the cashiers are super kind and caring. I like the freshly cut fruit and hot bar, especially when I need to grab something quickly for lunch...but lately things have started changing. The other day, a cashier asked if I had picked up my oatmeal cup from the soup bar. I assured her that I didnt, and had she looked at the label, she would have seen that I gathered all of my oatmeal from the correct area, but she didnt. She began to imply that I may have not grabbed the right cup, and stated that soup and oatmeal were priced differently. So, frustrated, and feeling humilliated in front of the other customers in line, I kept quiet, paid and went on my way. Ive been shopping here for 2 years and have never been questioned about where I got my oatmeal. Another addition to this location is a police officer at the front of the store. They clearly have their reasons for this, however, I nodded my head at one of the officers to show respect and he just stared at me. I dont feel welcome at this location anymore. I will keep shopping here because, I live right next to it, but my recent experiences have encouraged me to shop elsewhere and cook at home more often. I wish the employees who have made my experience, as a young, brown, queer, kind person and shopper... comfortable. I wish you the best in life, we need more people like you in this world :) Thank you.

Who doesnt love the occasional trip to Whole Paycheck... errr... Foods once in a while? I have friends that live in 2200, which shares a parking garage with this location. Even they admit that they dont shop here very often. That being said, this is my review, not theirs! Heres my thing: every once in a while, I just need to stop by their buffet. Its just so freaking good. Their mac and cheese is out. of. this. world. Their tandoori chicken is killer, the salad bar is full of the freshest looking vegetables you have ever seen, and the soups are so delicious, I would swear the broth is derived from unicorn tears. No other buffet outside of Vegas even comes close. This location in particular is nice for a few reasons 1. They validate parking for two hours in what I consider to be a very nice parking garage with TWO elevators that will take you right to the front of the store. If youve ever parked at the one in Bellevue or UD... this is a huge plus. 2. They do samples fairly often 3. I feel like their staff here is just extra knowledgeable and friendly... cant put a finger on why.

Damn...Whole foods turned the grocery store experience into a culture phenomena. shopping here feels like hanging out...LOL.. I love it here, but yeah its pricey and can murder ur bank account. Though I listed my faves of reasonably priced items below. I try to balance shopping here wit Trader Joes, Costco.. Also u cant beat the food bar when ur lazy to cook and dont want to go out. - Beer (wide selection of pilsners, stouts, and non commercial breweries) - $13.99 pizza with your own topics (chicken, artichoke, goat cheese, mushrooms) - 365 brand..not bad, their version of Safeway Select - Rotiserie Chicken Mondays $6.99 - Yogurt (brown cow and Yami) - Theo Chocolates - Fresh WF Salsa - Organic Bananas - Organic Brocili which looks like brocilini - Fingerling Potatos - Oyster Happy Hour - Organic Tofu Ice Cream Sandwiches - Soy Egg Nog (Holidays) - 365 Tofu - 365 OJ - Soy Creamer - Organic Chicken Broth - Soy Milk - and hella other random crap on sale... occasional protein. yah im addicted...

No argument it is a good store. One can find almost any brand, one is looking for. Not necessarily at the lowest price, but it will be top product. Should mention that bulk produce is the best at a very competitive price. Lunch at Whole Foods is very popular, their buffet has food to anybodys healthiest demand. Now we come to check out. Here the weakest link in the equation surfaces. What is that permanent question about obtaining ones receipt is all about? Another fashionable trend to safe paper!? If so there are ton of paper bags wasted there. Receipts are needed sometimes just for a customer to keep track of purchases and spending. Sometimes if you dont eat what you bought but paid for it, then still check out with items to go home with you, it poses a question. Also a habit of not having receipts printed is usually a method of bad accounting, in case the books are slightly altered.

Love whole foods, but with most things in pretentious little Seattle there are problems. Why would you need a police presence here? Seems like a waste of resources (unless the police have solved their homeless problem) and im curious if other grocery stores in other neighborhoods get the same treatment. Im all for making people feel comfortable when they buy apples but come on. Why hasnt Whole Foods hired their own super security to guard the bananas? I look around the store and I dont really see an element of danger, not in the slightest.

Location is the biggest selling point. I did have the best cashier today in the over 20 times Ive shopped here. Half the time they keep your bag discount or attempt to get you to forget about receipts. Maybe they dont want you to relive sticker shock when you get home. The hot/cold bar is convenient when youre in a hurry or didnt have time to eat all day and need food immediately. There should be a discount after a certain time, because the food is clearly stale at night and way over priced for non-meat eaters.

Customer service policies are really not accommodating, cashiers are mostly slow unengaging and seriously no one knows how to bag correctly! Ive been in customer service for 6 years and some of the situations as a customer ived had at whole food would result in me getting in some real trouble. Other times though they can be great but they need to hone some skills and work on making things better for a customer they inconvenience. It can make a terrible situation into a at least a better if not great experience

A good "Whole Paycheck". Now with their own brand, things are much more acceptable. Food is typically fresh, and the meat counter sometimes has surprises (like Icelandic lamb legs). The fresh produce/meat is not that much more than the likes of Fred Meyer. If you "stick to the perimeter", the paycheck can be well preserved. We cook a lot, so this works for us well. This feels smaller than the WFM on 64th in Ravenna, but it works great when we lived near Eastlake. Has validated Parking.

Great place to get organic, Non-GMO foods. People always seem happy and make you feel good. Prices may be high for some but you get what you pay for. They even have free samples on some foods, which I never eat but I guess its cool if your into that kind of thing. Thank God for Whole Foods! Took off one star since they dont allow firearms, not even concealed carry..but that doesnt bother me too much. A great man once said, "Dont ask, dont tell" ;)

The quality of items here is consistently great, but you absolutely will pay more for them. Their hot and cold food bar is extremely popular - expect a huge rush around lunch time any day of the week! I can always count on great quality proteins from the cheese counter to the butcher shop, and especially the seafood section. The customer service is always stellar and they are more than happy to make suggestions if you need them.
