So we were at the Blue Ridge Hospice Thrift Store on Featherbed Lane this afternoon to pickup a Ralph Lauren purse I won in their Silent Auction. I get to the car and see its as fake as can be, so we go back into the store. I advised the nice gentleman its not only a fake, but a bad fake and that I wasnt able to look at it bc everyone was unusually busy that day. I proceeded to tell him I wanted a refund. He called for the "manager in charge," Marsha, so I explain the situation to her. She advises me she WILL NOT give me a refund and "sorry about my misfortune." I calmly and politely explain to her technically I was NOT the winner because someone bid higher than me but backed out because of the same thing as I showed her the paper that was attached to my bag!! SHE IMMEDIATELY SNAPPED!!!!!! SHE RIPPED THE PAPER FROM MY HAND ADVISING ME I COULDNT HAVE IT (THOUGH IT WAS GIVEN TO ME) AND ATTACKED ME!!!! Shes VERY lucky I was in shock! Oh....and she threatened to call the cops on ME!! David was also in absolute shock!!! I sure hope this lady doesnt treat the donors the way she treated me.....or any other customer for that matter!!! First time I bid on stuff there and won.....last time I will EVER contribute in any way as long as that lady is involved with the organization in ANY way!! And to think....I shoulda been the one calling WPD!! I have NEVER in all my life been treated this way and ESPECIALLY never been attacked by ANYONE....let alone a cashier in a thrift shop!! I did not call the police but now that I think about it I may just have to. Its not me Im worried about but what about older folks that are more fragile than I. Just when I thought I was starting to feel better she stresses me out and Im sick again !! PS: Ive had a few private messages about sharing this. ABSOLUTELY you can share this. Again, I am not trying to ruin a organization or even person BUT my main concern is that this is NOT the first time something like this has happened.

The people I have interacted with are exceedingly kind and they have an interesting collection of household goods. They dont have much in the way of clothing though that would be considered current style.
