The movers have been the nicest employees in this whole experience. My boyfriend and I purchased a whole bedroom set to have dilvered to our new house on the 1st. When they got here and started putting things together they informed us that our sideboards for our new bed are broken and that we would have to wait for the new shipment on Saturday. We were a little upset because now we had to sleep on the floor but we understood that things happen. Never once did someone call and apologized. This morning when they got here to instal the sideboards and put together our bed they informed us that once again the same issue has occurred and that we will have to wait until next week and that we should maybe choose a different bed if this keeps happening. The movers expressed there apologies but like Ive said never once has the company even reached out and even acknowledged this. We are beyond disappointed with this whole experience.

Horrible!!! Went in to purchase and was given a delivery date. 2 days before it was supposed to be delivered they called and had to push it back to the following week. When the following week came, they called again and pushed it back AGAIN. They called the day before and gave me an estimated time it was going to be delivered (12-2). When the day came I got a call at (9:45) saying they were 30 mins. out. I told them I was told 12-2 and then the guy tells me it was actually supposed to be 11-1. Point is who was going to be home, since we planned on anther time. Finally when the couch arrived we had to put in a service call because the hooks on our sectional were facing the same way so it wouldnt connect. Now....they tell us they will be out between 12-3. Now I have to make accommodations because they cant give a specific time. Such an inconvenience all around.

The staff was wonderful. The furniture was wonderful. The prices were wonderful. However, my husband and I do not live in Virginia Beach - we live in Norfolk. The store only delivers to Norfolk Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays - which is fine if you happen to have off those days. My husband is in the military and often works 12 hour shifts and I go to school in the morning and go to work in the afternoon. A weekday delivery didnt work for our schedule so we had to take our business to another furniture store (although we found the furniture we loved and worked for us already at Value City). We even went to another local area Value City to see if they had the same delivery policies. Sadly, they did.

Gail helped my sister and I on Monday. She spent several hours with us finding all manner of furniture for our respective homes. We both happen to be moving so much was needed. Gail seemed to just "get" us and the styles we were after. I am terribly indecisive and Gail assisted me in putting together the perfect bedroom set up. I waffled a lot!!!! She never got impatient and even allowed me to try out different lamps with the nightstands I chose to get that matching but not look I was after. It was such a positive experience and I cant thank her enough for her professionalism and attention to detail. I highly recommend and will be back!!

I wish the ads Value City has on TV would go away. One ad has a couple gagging because they dont like their coffee table, which they chose not to replace when they ordered new furniture. This ad makes me feel sick rather than wanting to buy furniture. The second ad has a couple discussing their new chaise; the husband pronounces the word "chaise" like any other American, while the wife yells "chaaaaiiiizzzz" many times over, sounding like an idiot. Do Value City executives really think watching people pretending to gag, or acting like an idiot, will get anyone to buy furniture from them? These ads have made me want to shop elsewhere.

I just purchased a sectional for my living room. Upon getting it home while still wrapped in plastic I noticed a tear on the corner underneath the plastic. I immediately contacted the Virginia Beach VCF and spoke with Christine in customer service. She immediately without hesitation told me she would have a replacement for me within the week. She was true to her word and even followed up with me on the promised day the sectional piece arrived. Kudos to Christine at VB VCF and to the all associates involved in my purchase from sales to pickup to replacement. The service was impressive! Thank you!

So annoyed and frustrated with Value City. Paid in full for my pieces and requested to pick it up to avoid the hassle and waiting. Got a call saying i couldnt pick up my furniture when i wanted, asked them to deliver it the earliest they could which didnt happen. They called telling me i have to wait another week for my stuff. Definitely not shopping here again. And i best get my pieces in good condition because it will be returned.

I wish I could give ZERO stars ABSOLUTELY horrible! Nothing but a rip off especially the acceptance now program it is such a LIE! they charge all these fees even when they say its 90 days interest free its some BULL, My furniture was $900 I put down $200, I paid my payment each month on time NEVER late which was $140.00 so WHY was my pay off balance $442 ?? RIP OFF because they charge all these stupid unnecessary fees! EVER AGAIN

TERRIBLE service & LOW QUALITY furniture! They delivered a damaged bedroom set and could not provide me with a replacement piece because the model was "discontinued" but yet they were still selling the same set in their store. Once they got your money, they could care less about any issues you have with the purchase. Do not waste your time here! Take your money and business elsewhere.

I was shopping for 2 bedroom sets and a mattress. When I walked in, i was greeted with a smile and a genuine welcome. Mike was an amazing salesperson who let us know where we could find what we were looking for. Then he left us alone while we looked and was ready to help as soon as we found what we wanted. Very pleasant man, ask for him when you go in!

This place looks so inviting and they have such nice furniture here i wanted to buy everything!! Its so modern and comfortable and they have the best dinning table sets that Ive seen. I would definitely recommend checking this place out if your looking for bedroom and living room furniture as well.
