This place is a pretty big location in a shopping center along Virginia Beach Blvd. To start off, this place is closed on Sundays, so dont attempt to come in on that day of the week. The place as seen from the outside is quite clean and well maintained. This place is primarily for home decor items. They do have some items you can find at Michaels or AC Moore, but not to the extent of the selections available elsewhere. They have a fairly good selection of fabrics and accessories. One thing that I noticed right away when being in here is that the pricing is higher for the same or similar items elsewhere. Most of the time, you can go to their website on your phone and get a code for 40% one regular priced item (if you purchase more than one regular priced item, the coupon is applied to the highest priced item). They have some hobby type items available as well, but most of them are pretty much done out the door, so theres no building or much work for the consumer. Overall, this is a hybrid hobby store with some arts and crafts. This place is just okay. The pricing tends to be higher, which limits my want to visit this place very often. My biggest advice is to first do your homework on pricing from multiple places before getting something here.

Ride staff that gives incomplete information. I rented some items for my wedding and was told to bring the credit card back when I returned the rentals so I can get my deposit back. After my wedding I tried to return the items. First I was told to stand in line to return my item to the cashier. Then when I got to the register I was told that I didnt have to do all that, just come to the front and tell them that I was returning rentals. Next I was told that I couldnt return the rentals because I didnt have the receipt. I live 35 min from Hobby Lobby, Im not driving home for a piece of paper. When I explained this the cashier said thats our policy. She then waived the next person to the counter while I was still standing there. It was finally resolved 2 managers later but Ill never go back.

I bought Xmas lights testing them at home to not only find them broken but used. I brought them back and looked at another box. It was the same. I asked the manager at the front registers and she said the store regularly places used merchandise back into stock selling it again as new. I told her this was dishonest and used items which are returned should be noted as such. She disagreed and said it was standard store policy not to do this. She refused to look to see if there were other unopened boxes in inventory, and refused to place a call to another store to see if they had any new stock. Because of the bad service and dishonesty I would not shop here again.

Very difficult for a first-timer to find specific items...need each aisle labeled with signs above like in some drugstores. If you move items/sections around (as I was told you do often) just move the signs! Had to wander the entire store while searching, but saw that the store holds a LOT of crafting items, anything you need... unless youre looking for tiling items as I was...an extremely poor and small selection of mosaic tiles had (found them with the hot-glue guns and glass pebbles after I found a sales person..who knew?!) Only able to purchase the glue and the last tile cutter.

I went in today and asked if they were getting anymore skeins of burgundy colored yarn bee and they told me to go to a different hobby lobby. :( There isnt one around me so off to A.C. Moore or Micheals I go. You guys dont physically have much on your shelves and I dont shop online. They said if they dont have it on the shelf, then it wasnt in the warehouse and I was out of luck. Uhm, no. You are with getting my money. Its $5 a skein.. and at least a $50 project. A childs large day bed blanket. Sorry. Im going to where the product is.

I like the fabric department at this Hobby Lobby but it is inadequately staffed. Twice now I have gone in to shop but left without anything because I do not have an hour and a half to wait for fabric to be cut and then wait on the long register line to pay. There was one lady working in the fabric dept and at least 4 customers already waiting on the fabric cutting line. The one employee had been busy cutting fabric for a man for the 20 minutes I was there.

This is the only Hobby Lobby Ive been inside. Ive looked throughout the store, and find their goods to be of some of the lowest quality available. My only (and last) purchase, a picture frame, had glass so thin it broke during normal handling. When looking for a decent clay extruder, one worker suggested I next visit the "man section" (where the professional sports fanatic stuff is). I think she was trying to discourage the artsy gayness in me.

While I LOVE Hobby Lobby, I am rarely able to shop in their stores due to the fact that they only have a manual "wheel chair" for their disabled customers. With extreme weakness in my arms, it makes it impossible to push the chair. I have found this with both Hobby Lobbys in the area (this one & the one in Elizabeth City, NC). It is unfortunate for those of us with disabilities that we cannot shop & enjoy your store. :(

Hobby Lobby is a pretty solid choice if you have crafting needs. What I enjoy most though is all the non-crafting items. Hobby Lobby has a ton of kitchy home decor items that are pretty well priced. I love that they have a full fabric department which can be hard to find. Floral is huge and they always have great seasonal decorations.

HUGE! This is by far the biggest Hobby Lobby I have been to. They have EVERYTHING. Its the middle of the summer and they even have Christmas stuff up. You can find any color paint, fabric, and thing to decorate your home with at this Hobby Lobby and it all is good quality. Will definitely visit again. Wish it was closer to my home...

Great selection of crafts and decor. Check out was awful. Only one register open and a dozen people in line. A man with a managers name tag on watching it all. You would think he would open a register himself or get employee to do it. Everyone in line was talking about the employees standing around doing nothing.

My experience in Hobby Lobby has always been great. If I had to rate them against other craft stores, they would take the trophy. But there is SO MUCH MORE to Hobby Lobby than just craft supplies. My only complaint if I had one, is they arent open on Sundays. HOWEVER, I totally understand the Sunday closing.

Went in about 730 and everyone just seemed to want to get yoy outta there. A candle fell off because it must of been put on to close to the end of shelf and not one employee came over to see if I was ok. Even tho when I told one it fell they said they knew and was getting something to clean it up.
