Terrible. The owner was rude and indifferent. This is a great place for those who can spend hours waiting for customer service while the owner chats with her friends. The selection is nothing special....a small step above Michaels. But the prices...higher than any other place (online specialty yarn sites included). Forget the frequent buyer card. So many exclusions and conditions that youd be dead before you could spend enough to get any discount. My overall impression of this place is that you are walking into the owners house, you can look but dont buy...this would inconvenience her. I assume she must not need to make a profit because of this attitude. There are women who regularly come to sit and knit. But they are much older and seem to be more of a click. They arent very welcoming to new people and usually block access to the yarn shelves. The owner has no problem with this and seems to encourage their comfort over assisting a customer. The place is like a knitting club with large yarn stashes....and youre not a member. The Yarn Club in Virginia Beach and Baa Baa Sheep in Norfolk are infinitely better choices.

I didnt have anywhere NEAR the experience that the other reviewers did. I went in expecting it to be a friendly, helpful place and it was not. No one greeted me although there were several women at the table knitting... I had to ask for help once I browsed the store and couldnt find what I was looking for. The lady that "helped" me was no help at all. I picked out two items but there was no one to ring me up so I put them back and left. It was disappointing to say the least. I had been told to go there by my church group. Im wondering if I had the right shop! I hope theres another one cuz Im not going back to this one.

Although the store is very small, they pack it with tons of yarn! I feel that for the most part the prices are pretty good. Also, the staff is very helpful. Every time I enter the store Im greeted and asked if I need help finding anything. When I check out they ask about my planned projects and if I need anything. Definitely a great shop!

The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. I am a long time crocheter(and thought I would never knit). The ladies there have taken the time to help me learn to knot. The got me started on projects that are at my skill level. They are a wonderful group of people

Everytime you walk in, the staff are happy to see you and actually WANT to help you out. Lots of yarn, lots of needles/hooks/etc, and lots of smiles. Couldnt imagine a better place to walk into when Im feeling down - it will pick you right up!

Friendly, and helpful. The staff helps you look for the type of yarn you would like for a project. Prices are excellent. The store is small but there is room for sitting and have various yarn choices. Definitely going to be returning.

This is the only yarn store I use. The staff is open, friendly& knowledgeable. I would have to say its my home away from home. I have made many amazing friends in this store.
