OK, so I never post these stupid reviews but I had such a terrible experience I want to save you the time DO NOT COME here, Period. The lady at the front desk was not helpful at all and was being a jerk the entire time. Ive been shopping different tattoo shops as I am new to VB and wanted somewhere go get my chest tattoo done. Im greeted by a miserable woman who shrugs me off and tells me to go look at portfolios. I figure shes in a bad mood whatever everyone has bad days. I find an artist that I liked and went back over and schedule a consultation to show him what I like (Chris) and first he tells me he hates my design and wants to change the whole thing and I break down why I want the certain parts they all mean something to me and he just tells me Im wasting his time and he doesnt even want to tattoo me and to find someone else unless Im willing to let him do what he wants. What the heck?! Isnt this my body? I get wanting to do your interpretation as an artist which I wouldve thought was awesome but to just tell me that you dont want my business and to go somewhere else? Well Ocean Mystique is right around the corner! Better artists and much nicer people. Jenn is doing my chest tattoo next week. Save your time and go somewhere that appreciates your business.

So I give this place 3 stars because I have gotten all my tattoos here and loved the quality of work. Alex was my artist that did two of my tats and I cant remember the bigger guys name that did the other. But let me say that twice now (almost 2 years apart), I have went into their shop for a walk-in or to see if I could set an apt and the girl at the front desk was so unwelcoming that I was tempted to turn around and walk out mid-convo. Theres nothing more upsetting than getting to the shop, excited for your tattoo and be met with a sour attitude and be judged for my tattoo choice (Im not an insecure person and the judgement was so strong it was oozing from her pores) Lighten up sister! I get it, you work in a tattoo shop and you see all sorts of tattoos, from basic to incredible art, but its not cool to make weird faces when I show you what I want. Wait until I leave the shop to judge me. Also, since when am I supposed to have exactly what I want drawn out and ready to go? Isnt it part of your duty as an artist to look at the multiple examples I have provided and help me draw something up? Sorry Cliff Evans, love your shop and the quality of work that Alex and the other big guy does but I wont be coming back due to the sour taste left in my mouth.

I have gotten all of my previous tattoos here. I have liked the quality of work and the cleanliness of the shop. I got a little bit of a bad taste in my mouth the last time I got my tattoo because the artist was making fun of it the entire time. Im a tough girl though and I get that everything is not everyones cup of tea. Deciding to come back for the most meaningful tattoo Ive gotten so far, I was excited to get the process started. I wanted to talk to an artist and set up an appointment to come back and get the work done (it was a pretty elaborate piece, I knew the work wouldnt be done that day). I was extremely disappointed when I walked up to the front door with my toddler in his stroller only to find a big sign on the door that said no children allowed at any time. Talk about taking the wind out of your sails. I felt like an idiot. I know the people inside could see me getting him out of the car and putting him in his stroller only to be turned away before I even got inside. :/ No worries. I took my business to Ocean Mystique around the corner on Virginia Beach blvd and couldnt have been more satisfied. They will be getting my business from now on.

I had called the day before to find out about an appt when the secretary told me to come in at 2PM the next day for a walk in. We drove 45mins the next day and arrived at 2:18PM. We showed the woman at the front desk a drawing and she told us they wouldnt have time for it because there were already 6 people waiting (inwhich one of them was a co-worker). This is when she told us to come in the next day extra early and they would have us fill out paperwork early so we would have a spot. Where the hell was this info the day before? She then showed us a price guide which showed high prices based on certain sizes and ***upcharges on different parts of your body. 25% upcharge on the ribs.*** We ended up leaving after some of the worst service Ive ever seen from the many tattoo shops Ive been too in my time. It also turned out that my co-worker who was there before me waited three hours just to be told they couldnt do it. I would never recommend this shop to anyone. And from the other reviews, that miserable woman in front needs to find employment elsewhere.

Would not recommend. Scheduled an appointment with Drewski. When I arrived at I was greeted by the counter girl. I showed her my reference material and concept for art work. She asked me a couple of questions, to which I replied, Im not sure. This is why I scheduled an appointment with Drewski so we could discuss the design together. I was told I needed to get better reference material and come back when I could answer her questions. I had $1000.00 in my pocket with reference material and photos of body placement and Im told to come back when Im better prepared. SERIOUSLY?!!! Lets just say I was furious when I walked out. I went to Blue Horseshoe and am extremely happy I did. Top Notch Customer service and very friendly. I am very happy with how my tattoo is progressing. Since I started my tattoo, we have added more to it. Thanks Ghost Ship for recommending Blue Horseshoe Tattoo.

Terrible. I was really hopeful when we first arrived but there was a large group In front of my friend and I. Right when we walked in though a guy came up and asked us If he could help us and was super helpful but then he walked away and went to tattoo someone. Nobody came and talked to us for another 25 minutes. Finally someone helped us and got the paperwork and process started and after waiting for two hours it was like we didnt even exist no one talked to us again or discussed any details with us about anything or that it would be a two hour wait. The customer care was terrible and very unprofessional environment. At one point there was two artists and receptionist in the back of a room laughing while there were several people waiting to be helped.

This was my first tattoo, and I am so glad it was at Ghost Ship. Having never been tattooed, I wasnt sure where to go. The first place I went to in the area actually discouraged me from getting the tattoo that I was getting in honor of a friend who recently passed. Ghost Ship was more than accommodative. Ian, at the front desk, was very welcoming, friendly and answered all my questions. I was able to be tattooed by the owner of the shop who happened to have a cancellation and was open for a few walk-ins. Cliff drew up exactly what I wanted, and made the experience all around fantastic. I will definitely be back.
