I am a Apple fan, and have few of thier devices: macbook pro, macbook air, iPad 2, iPhone 6 plus(my wife &me) and iWatch. I started with Apple, with iPhone 3gs and had memory leaks and i walked in too, Apple in Reston Virginia Retail Store location;furthermore, very fast in help and great customer service-these was, like 5 years ago. Had newer iPhone 5 but had small issues, same great service. My iPhone 6 PLUS broke and they told come in evening, my wife went for me-do to my work. I called her from my jobs phone and asked did they, take care of you; consequently, she said, "NO" My wife said, "They told me to come back on July 7 @ 1-I AM VERY UN HAPPY, UN HAPPY, UN HAPPY I USE MY 6 PLUS FOR MY JOB AND THE ONLY WAY OTHERS COMMUNICATE AND MY BOSS I GOING TO LOOSE ON A MILLION DOLLAR CLIENT, CAUSE(((Reston, VA Apple Store)))), is too LAZY TO GO ABOVE AND BEYOND IN CUSTOMER SERVICE. I do not know, who hired these idiots to work there but bring back the old employees that work there-they give exellent customer service. I would give a -5 stars if i could

I purchased a referbished computer from the online store. The day it was delivered I noticed many of the keys were sticky so I tried calling the store and sat on hold for 15 mins hung up tried again another 10 mins hung up and made an online reservation. At the "genius" bar that weekend I was told that the computer was damaged and told that I spilled soda on it (dont drink soda) and that it was not covered. They tried to charge me to fix it, several hundred dollars. I argued and the manager said we will give you free repair just this once. After my computer was looked at the store again said I had spilt soda on the keyboard, the whole shell and keyboard needed replacing. So of course I said no and asked to talk to the manager and finally they agreed to replace the computer. It took just over a month and lots of exhaustive arguing, I was called a liar and made to jump through hoops. Apples customer service was once a reason to buy an apple but now I would tell my friends to buy a Dell.

Came in for an appointment to fix my cracked iphone screen. After checking in, I had to wait half an hour before someone would eve talk to me. Once I finally talked to someone, they told me it would be about an hour and a half until my phone was fixed. I had to run to a doctors appointment, so I was told that the part that I needed was going to be placed on hold, and that I do not need an appointment to come in the next time. Four days later I come into the store and go to check in, and they cant find that a product had been placed on hold for me. After a manager was called, they finally get to checking me in for a second time, and I was told that I now have to wait four hours until I can get my phone back. Never going to go to this apple store again, next time Im just going to pay a little bit more to get my screen fixed in the mall rather than going all the way to reston multiple times for nothing.

Purchasing a product in this store in any reasonable time frame seems near impossible. When you walk in youll immediately be greeted and put in the queue of death. Regardless of whether you know what you want or have a million questions youll be forced to wait to be helped with no realistic estimate of how long it will take. I stopped in this store to make a simple purchase and after 15 minutes of waiting around to give someone my money I gave up (not the first time). While waiting I noticed many Apple employees wandering around the store talking to each other apparently not empowered to help someone buy something. At some point the manager was alert and she affirmed to me that I would be helped as soon as possible (i.e. some time in the future). What happened Apple? All the geniuss and technology cannot seem enable someone to make a purchase in your store within a reasonable wait period.

I like Apple products in general but was very disappointed with buying on line and picking up at the Reston Apple Store. After receiving both an email and a text that my purchase was available for pickup, I arrived at the store to be told that their order processing computer system had been down all day and that I could not pickup my order. I was told that I should call first but that Ill have to repeat the 40 minutes to pickup the product later - probably tomorrow but the greeter did not really know. I understand computer glitches but if you have the tech to email and text me about my order, why couldnt Apple have saved me a wasted trip by letting me know that there was a problem. So warning to others, unless the Apple Store is very close by, dont believe the emails and texts but call the store first to verify that they are really ready for you.

Put aside that we had three Apple phones that were of such poor quality they could not be used to make phone calls, the customer service is much more than disappointing. They were arrogant on the phone when calling to make an appointment and I was informed when I went into the store that one of the requirements for getting help "is to smile sweetly" at staff. As I was in there as often as three times a week while they traded out phones, admitting there were clearly problems with software and hardware, I was in no mood to smile. Apple is so successful customers clearly can be treated like road kill. But the last time I got service this poor was from Circuit City and we saw what happened to them. And then Best Buy, that is now having to close a lot of stores because of lack of business. Watch out Apple. Im betting youre next.

Im not sure what all of the fuss and the negative reviews are about. Maybe the reviewers in question were actively rude to the Apple staff, or the offending staffers have moved on from this particular store. For the record, Im mixed race and I certainly dont look like Im made of money. I came in to this particular Apple store in my grubby work clothes (pants stained with engine grease), and was immediately greeted and helped even though I had neglected to book an appointment. The part that I needed wasnt in stock, but the Apple associate working with me was kind enough to tell me about an electronics depot where I could actually *get* this part that same day (maybe 9 miles or so down the road). All in all, I was helped and on my way out of the store in less than 15 minutes (midday on a weekday, if youre curious).
