Took my mom to this Goodwill last Thursday and had the worst experience ever! The Female manager on duty was very rude and unjust! After purchasing an item and receiving my receipt in hand, another customer started to argue that the item was hers and that she had a ticket for it as well. Instead of the cashier trying to explain that I also had a ticket for the item and had already purchased it, so that made it a lost to the other customer, she called her manager up to the front to handle the dispute. Once arriving at the front, the manager was briefed in detail what was occurring. She then proceeded to tell me as the customer that had already had the receipt in my hand from the purchase, that I HAD to make a RETURN so that the other customer could get the item. I have never heard of anything like this in my life! Once something is purchased and you have the receipt for it...it is yours! I was TOLD not ASKED by the manager that she could give me a refund because technically the item was supposed to have went to the other customer since she stated she had the first ticket, when in actuality there was no proof of whom received the first ticket and I had already purchased the item so you can not make a customer return anything once the item is sold to them and they have receipt of it. Being the good Samaritan that I am, to defuse the argument and be the bigger person for the situation at hand, I kindly returned the item and received my refund. I was totally upset by what Management had done and clearly it was a racial profiling decision, and I promised to never shop there again. Management asked me the African American female to return my purchase so that the Caucasian female complaining could purchase it, keeping in mind that the Manager was a Caucasian female. If this Goodwill wants continued business by all race and all people I suggest that the Manager on duty that day be replaced immediately! This was totally unfair and racist and should not have happened! I advised her that I was unhappy at the way my mom and I were treated and that I would definitely post a review of what poor management skills she presented in the situation because I could have taken it to the next level and called Fairfax County out whom would have told the Manager and other customer that technically me being the customer with the receipt it belonged to me!

Good will its suppose to be a respectable organization who supposedly assist the less fortunate or the needy. The irony consist in the following act that took place recently that would contradict their moto. An honest hard worker deaf woman was recently discharged in their organization due to alleged accusations of " stealing". When really she was being set up by the managing staff who continuously protested and question her lack of production. The missing merchandise disputed did not consist of a value of even two dollars. Yet it caused a deaf senior citizen to lose her job, at the mean time she was unable to defend her rights by being silence at birth. The organization made a decision without fully consent or knowledge of the real story. I truly respect Good will as who they are and what they do, but this particular establishment lack of management skills.

I paid for a Bistro Set I told them Im going to lunch and will be right back when I came back in an hour and a half later they had resold it no apologies simply said it was not their fault I recently purchased 2 glass shades that came right off the cart a bargain $6.99 each however when I went to the register Maria had told the cashiers to charge me $25 each (I was joking with lady on floor that they wete marked Tiffany Maria overheard and jacked up the price they were not on the shelf they came out of the back on the cart ) after calling corporate they simply said they were going to look into it through cameras and theft prevention only when I told them that the right thing to do would be to sell them to me for $6.99 each as marked they look up prices on eBay with your non realistic nobody has a smile employees are miserable

I typically go to the Goodwill in Herndon, but decided to try this location out, since I was in the area. It was above 90 degrees when we went and the air conditioner was either broken, or not turned on. Either way that really put a damper on the experience. The selection was typical to the average Goodwill experience. The majority of items were passable, with a few nice finds here and there. Overall, I would say I prefer the Herndon location more, but might go back if I was in the area again.

This location is too busy. I cant ever find a place to park. Once you do find a spot, inside isnt much better. Prices were raised after their re-model. They do have kids toys for a bargain, but they are normally being played with by a child that has been left on their own. Too many kids left without supervision adds to the craziness in this place. I shop here every few months but thats it.

They have a good aray of furniture items. I moved from Chicago and went here and got some good priced pieces for my living room. They truly price their items to sell. I hate going to places like this and they over price USED ITEMS. i recommend going here for some furniture pieces and kid stuff. Good prices and nice people.

It was nice place, but recently they have new staff and it just feels a bit sad, miserable. It isnt as happy as it used to be. Maybe its the heat. Prices have gone up for some stuff. Ive seen stuff one week and a month later its still there. They do have nice furniture though. I still go, just not as much.

Great store. Great selection. I bought my daughter a couple toys here. Its not the store itself thats bad, its the whole philosophy of Goodwills profit of donated items. Yes it gives people jobs, but what? 7.25 an hour? I think all donated should not be a sold for profit to a large corporation. Jmo

Drop off area was closed so I left four bags if clothing in store. They couldnt give me a receipt because drop off area was closed. They service the community very well and gave many volunteers who help them run the store. Im glad I have a location to forward my gentle used clothing to....

Pretty expensive for a thrift store, especially the clothing. Youre better off going to Walmart or one of the other two thrift stores in the area. Also, if you leave anything in the dressing rooms they will throw it out, not even wait a few hours to see if someone comes back for it.

I like this store, you can usually find a good deal on clothes(Seriously, where else can you buy an entire outfit + shoes for $30?) Only complaints are the parking is horrible unless you come when no one else is in and the store can use better cleaning methods.
