Incompetent staff. Took them forever to find my order (because all of the Auto Zone employees throw every order under an old address even though Ive told them as much several times over) and acted as if everything was my fault. I purchased a battery and asked them to install it since I was on travel in the VA area. They intstantly hit me with a $3.00 charge for a stupid terminal install kit after I just spent $162.00 on a crappy Duralast Battery. Needless to say I found this to be scam as my battery is a side post and their kit included the stupid felt rings which would not have prevented any corrosion. I argued with them over this and initially relented as I didnt have any tools with me and gave them $4.00 cash. Then the manager speaks up and says "If you give me your license, Ill loan you the tools" and I responded with "Sure." They give me some tools out of their kit and I had to come back in for different sizes and of course the manager keeps talking to me like I am stupid because he feels the original size tools they issued should be the correct size even though they didnt give me the size I requested. He didnt seem to understand the battery hold down was 12 mm and I needed that to get the core battery out. Once the batteries had been swapped out, I asked for my $4.00 back (battery install kit) and of course both of the employees looked at me like Im stupid. I ended up leaving because it would have been too hard to explain to them how merchandise purchasing (or the lack of purchasing a gimmick install kit) works. They kept my 4 dollars and I walked out vowing to never by a product from them again.

Today, I went into the store trying to buy fog lights for my dad, and Jackline A was the one helped me telling me there didnt have the kinds I was looking for, but was very helpful trying to looked it up in their system for me. Somehow, after that, Ive asked if she could help me check on my battery, and starter because I was having issues and needed to know, if I would need to replace then and there. A day, prior to that, I had gone to Advanced Auto in Sterling had them check all of them with they machine and it all came out GOOD, but today, went into Auto Zone it turned out having a bad battery, so Jackline helped me pick out the cheapest price but a good one, and took her time to installing the battery for me. We had, some problem with getting it to started due to the previous owner had installed a car alarm, which I didnt know, so it conflicted with the battery issued; but she wouldnt give up went inside to get something out to put it and tight it to where it would start and run smoothly. Thank Jackline for all the extra hard work and miles youve gone out to helping out a helpless gal didnt know anything about car and was scared being stuck out of nowhere not knowing the battery was bad. I recommended anyone coming inside that store in Herndon to asked for Jackline A for assistant. Also, I highly recommended her for a RAISE and PROMOTION, too. Kaylee T.

I was assisted twice by this great man Jessi Romero in auto zone. He is caring and knows his job! He is so helpful not only to me the client but also I can tell he is helping to sell products for auto zone which shows his loyalty to his company and essentially to me as a client to provide me with he best products and knowledge! I admire his work ethics and if I ever have any business to do with my car I will stop by this location to see him and I will be sure to recommend others to go there too to see specially Jessi Romero that in cold freezing weather he comes out to help you out! Thank you for having such a wonderful employee and not all are like that;)))

I went in for a battery replacement. They priced matched me with a Walmart brand. I proceed to ask him for a 10% discount through my work coupon and he laughed in my face and told me do you want me to give you the battery for free. He was very rude ( Scott ) and not customer friendly. Then said that I was laughing in his face. Wth! I was very kind and polite to him. Worst experience I have ever had with a store. I will be contacting corporate. Scott I hope you are reading this, so this can be a lesson to treat your customers with respect.

Went today to pick up a few things for my car. The store was empty except for one other customer. Parts guy was on the phone. I stood alone in line for 10 minutes waiting for service. I even walked over to make eye contact with the guy on the phone, and tried to make contact with two of the employees walking behind the counter. Nobody ever acknowledged me at all. Nada. How do you stay in business? I guess they dont rely on customers in the store. I walked out and will try a competitor later today.

I went there for a battery change and they simply refused to help me. The guy seem like he didnt know what he was doing and he said he didnt wanted to do it, after I insisted he said fine, he had me waiting 15 minutes just to said no that he couldnt do it anymore. My friend was there few weeks ago and they gladly did the battery change for him, but they didnt do for ME! Worst customer service ever!

Extremely helpful! Needed to replace a headlight, the assistant store manager Michael not only made sure we got the right one, but he installed it for us as well at the store! Unreal! He had short sleeves on and made it happen in the cold weather. Will definitely go to this store again if I ever need anything, thanks to Mike!

Battery dead needed replacement. I have rav4 the part that holds battery in under hard plastic they wouldnt remove due to liability ie didnt know how....went home talked to roommate all u need is flathead screwdriver to pop whats holding it down up....glad it happened Walmart is cheaper anyways!!!

Almost always has something similar to what you need in stock. Consistently out of stock on almost every standard light bulb Ive ever needed (but K-Mart had them!). Service can be slow, but once its your turn attendants are very helpful. Free oil recycling is a bonus.

Autozone Herndon...great service, courteous. Walked in the door and thwy offered help immediately. Helped me find the part i needed, made recommendations and even changed a headlamp bulb for me. Total time was less than 29 minutes including install. Wonderful!
