Jo-Anns has been a pretty good place for me to hobby out. I do leather work though and its actually been kind of frustrating to try and find things. The staff are always friendly and helpful. They have a great system for serving people at the counter. Here are my complaints: Stock more zipper stuff. Stock more repair stuff. If I am fixing a zipper, I should have to buy a $14 "Assorted Zipper Parts" item in order to get one little brass clip that I need. I will probably never need those other parts, because I probably wont ever have those very specific brands of zipper parts to repair. It doesnt justify the price. This and a few other irksome things make me drop a star, but overall a great entry level hobby store.

This store is very very open, its HUGE, and has a fabulous selection. Its got all the same issues as other fabric stores of long lines at the cutting station, but theyve moved to that single-line-for-checkout system that makes the paying go faster. They have classes all the time, participate in the weekly ads, and theyll scan your coupon code off your phone so you dont even have to print it. I note that the "other reviews" on Yelp links to the old Centerville store (which is closed) so maybe thats what the lady below is talking about. This one is at Fairfax Towne Center - just north west of Fair Oaks Mall. (They are also right next door to a Firehouse subs and a movie theatre so you can make a day of it :-))

Worst shopping experience in 50 years. Visited the store yesterday and saw a fabric I liked but learned you have to take a number. I didnt want to wait so I made the 10 mile trip today only to wait 30 minutes so I could show them the fabric piece that I found on their floor. During that 30 minutes I looked around to see if there was anymore of it in the store. When the salesperson was finally available, she was sure there was more in the store so I waited 20 more minutes while she looked even though I had told her I already looked. Then she wanted to measure it and then started off in another direction and I quit. I went to G Street Fabrics where they know customer service. I dont like surly salespeople.

This store is fantastic. They have all of the craft supplies Im looking for and sometimes those I am not looking for. The staff always reminds me to check for coupons and each of them is always kind and attentive. I really enjoy shopping at this Jo-Ann Fabrics!

Had a hard time finding a place that would sell me foam to refurbish a piece of furniture. This place not only had the stock but also knowledgeable staff to help me pick out the right stuff and cut it down to size. Cant say enough good things.

By far the worst customer service I have ever seen. They could care less about long lines and dont know anything about their products. Prices are too high unless they are on clearance. Buy online or find a different location, this one is awful

You can get coupons and save more every time you shop there and the bonus part is that once you check out, you still get additional coupons. Is a win win situation when your money has value and you can always saved there.
