Disorganized at best, dishonest at worse. I took a weapon there in late May to have some parts replaced with an upgrade. Said hed get to it in the next day or so and call me. A week or so later I called him back, said he hadnt gotten to it yet. This goes on for a month, month-and-a-half or so (I call, he says hes been too busy, so call him back later). Sometime in late June/early July, his excuse becomes that hes tried, but hasnt been able to put it together. This continues for another month or so. Finally, in late July I get fed up. I call on Monday, say Im going to come pick it up Friday. I show up Friday (a 25 mile drive for me), and hes left it at home. No apology, just says to call him on Monday and walks away. I go back Monday (after calling first), pick up the still unassembled weapon and the parts. I try to put it together later, and get through the first several steps (more than hed done) in less than an hour. Then it turns out he didnt give me one of the parts back. I call him on Friday, he says hell look for it and get back to me. I never hear back. The only reason I didnt sue him for the cost of replacing the part he lost is that it wasnt expensive enough to justify the drive out there. So either he lied about being too busy or cant properly put together a gun. Either way, youre better off looking elsewhere.

Took my Glenfield model 60 in to him, the thing had been at the bottom of a swamp for 12 years then in a house that caught fire and finaly used as a prod in helping loosen up constipated elephants. In no less than 48 hours, Charlie had it looking like new and running like a scaled ape, he then took me to the range and we found the perfect ammo match for it. I dont know what he did but itll put the whole tube under a dime at 50 yards. Went in with a friend, Syrus from Caroline to have Charlie help him out with his turkey shoot Mossenberg. Charlie was very patient and listened to all the issues Syrus was having making careful notes and took the gun in. 3 days later he called to say it was ready, now I cant tell you what all was done but that Mossenberg has collected more bolonga than Oscar Meyer ever thought about. Charlie is as a true friend to a turkey shooter and Marlin owner as anyone could ever find, kind, courteous and blazingly fast turnaround. He did mention also that he is looking to expand his tactical and pistol services in the future.

Just bought a 45 caliber that shoots 275 grain Parker bullets at 2855 at the muzzle. IMR 4198 73.5 grains. I took it to the range today for the first time and only had a few minutes of spare time. Shot two shots at 200 yards in the bulls-eye and about 1 1/4" apart. The gun had been cleaned so the first shot was a clearing shot mind you. I have no doubt this gun is sub MOA ( I know that with 2 shots I didnt prove it....yet). Pretty impressive for a front loader. My Savage smokeless was about a 225 yard gun max. This gun should be a 400 yard gun no problem. Great service and exactly what they promised.

Unless you can do without your gun for months with no expected completion date DO NOT take it here. I dropped mine off and nine weeks later he had not even ordered the parts for it. I would guess that he had not even looked at it. That was AFTER being told that it would be, "just a couple weeks". Open odd hours and days so check ahead if you decide to use him anyway.
