Over the years of dealing with Best Buy I have never had a 5 star experience, but this best buy has blown me away with such poor customer service and plain rudeness from its employees. Even the "management" is intolerable and unknowledgeable. From trying to exchange a non functioning GPS (3 times) to wanting to purchases new speakers for my vehicle and even just wanting a new MP3 player I have come to realize the best way to handle this place is do research and then go in with product numbers (because your item isnt on the shelf) and a 2nd choice (because they will be to lazy to find it for you). - Had uniformed employees say to me on multiple visits, "sorry, Im on my break." -At the customer service counter the guy who obviously didnt know how to help me and was unwilling to ask a manager, stopped assisting me and gave his attention to another best buy employee (right in front of me) who came up and needed assistance with his OWN handheld video game system. -Car Stereo dept. guy was waaaaay to high to know he was even there, and couldnt explain to me what kind of speakers my truck accepted. Come to find out on my own the website has a "car fit guide." - Inappropriate language (cussing, flirting) is just expected when I walk in this store. You can’t walk into a department without a small gathering of employees chatting it up about their personal lives. Don’t even think about interrupting one of these powwows without someone “sucking their teeth” in disgust before “helping” you. I could keep going but Im just getting more and more upset. Now, I need a new mouse for my Mac and Im going to Target. I hope this Jefferson D. Hwy BB turns into a chucky cheese.

I dont think Ive ever been so amazed by how terrible customer service has been other than at the bestbuy store at Potomac yard. It took the girl at the customer service desk 25+ minutes to figure out how to return an apple watch. She still couldnt. I had to find a manager myself. She could not problem solve or think for herself. He resolved the problem in a few minutes. She should have initially paged the manager instead of "I cant," and then turning me away. Then, I wanted to buy a tablet the same day. I spent an hour and a half trying to buy a tablet and they could not manage to sell me one. I wanted the Samsung Tab S 2 9.7 and they could not find a way to get me one by today or tomorrow. They could have gotten me one "a few days later." I smiled and waited and tried to be patient and cheerful while they did all this. I did not fuss. I left unhappy and stressed and frustrated after an hour and a half and their best answer was I could drive an hour away to Anapolis to buy one at that store. I then tried calling the store to explain my problem and the phone would ring for 5 minutes, if someone picked up, they would just hang up without saying anything. Is this what bestbuy has become?

Ugh came in here tonight to look for a specific Skylander character--first of all totally disorganized--all of them were dumped into a bin, so you have to fish the one you want out. When an associate finally approached me to help me after 5 minutes of me "digging" i noted that it would be helpful to maybe organize them or hang them up--he said then kids would mess them up again and it would be useless. Ummm okay, then he walks away when i asked for the one i was looking for saying it was in the bin somewhere probably. Instead of offering to look through them with me, he went back to chatting with the female associate who was also being totally useless. I left in a huff. MEanwhile I go to the Best Buy in COlumbia Heights DC, all their skylanders are HANGING and theyre not in BINS and theyre ORGANIZED, and the associate actually helped me look and checked in the stock room (which wasnt even offered in Alexandria) and FOUND MY SKYLANDER. Skip this store--go to columbia heights, the people here are rude and dont care about customer service.

My experience left a lot to the imagination. I went to the store on Saturday to pre-order a game for my husband for Valentines Day. I was advised the game would be ready for pick up by the 15th of Feb and that all my hubs would have to do is show ID and have the last 4 of my card. Well that was far from the case. He went to the store and was turned away very rudely. We only followed the directions of the young lady at the service desk who clearly entered my order wrong. I asked for a receipt and was advised mutiple times he wouldnt need it. She even went as far as showing me the screen showing his name as the person for pick up. I work during the stores hours and really dont have time to go to the store to pick anything up but I should have been advised I would need to be present. We shop at Best Buy for almost all our electronic needs but this experience will make me reconsider any future purchases.

Bad judgement and customer service by Best Buy rep and manager with regard to application of a return policy. I was told I could get a full refund of MS Office software by returning unopened. I returned the software unopened w/n 30 days of purchase. The store manager refused to honor the refund because "policy" dictates return must be w/n 15 days. I was 10 days too late for a refund and therefore I would have to accept a store credit of $129.99 (ie no refund). I didnt want a store credit. I have spent an estimated $18,000 on TVs, Laptops, Geek Squad, etc over the last three years -- It was poor customer service not to be given a refund of $129.99 and relax the policy for a 10 day window....

I went to this store to purchase Salamander Designs Synergy 402 A/V Cabinet wheels at the magnolia section. I stood there for over 30 minutes and no one attended to me. I later approached one sales guy at the magnolia section who seemed to be very busy. He told me he will be with me shortly, so I kept waiting. Later I saw him assisting another customer: I had no option but to leave the store to another store. I have been to other Best Buy stores like the one on frontier drive, Springfield and Fairlakes. These stores render magnificent customer service to customers. I was really disappointed at this store. Dont thing I will ever go there again.

Beware of poor installation service. We bought a refrigerator last week and it was delivered three days later (an hour later than the end of the promised four hour delivery window). Installation of ice maker and water line was supposed to follow (today). When the subcontractor came to install the water line, they said they cant do that without the ice maker being installed beforehand. Now Best Buy is telling me they cant install the ice maker even though we already paid for the ice maker and its installation. All of this after need to take a day off from work to wait for the installer to come. Ridiculous and frustrating!
