Ive just had another bad experience at this place and its time to share. I most likely will not be going back to this location. Briefly, Ive had numerous problem with this location in the past. The sales associates do not know the basics of the devices in their section and try to up-sell you. For example, I was told I was eligible for a discount and then just before they scanned my credit card, they told me I was not. Ive overheard sales associates misleading customers about products (Im not an expert, but even I know iPhones and Androids are not "basically the same phone"- way to go Mobile department). The sales associates either stand around doing nothing on pounce on you every 5 seconds. When you want help, they are off chatting with friends. Most recently, and this is what solidified my decision to write a review, I pre-ordered a new phone and was told I could pick it up the day it was released. This was incorrect. I took off work to come get the phone. Ive been contacting Best Buy over the past few days about when I can come and get it; I get a different answer every time. Ive been told they did not order enough phones (even though there were pre-orders). Additionally, I was told, again, I would get a certain deal they were running. But right as I was at the register, they told me I did not qualify. This is a really simplified version of what transpired, but it was bad enough that I will not be returning to this location (or possibly Best Buy at all) for any additional devices.

Really bad logistics and a waste of time to order online here. Went in for Black Friday and saw a great discount on a pair of earbuds on their own site--Went up to the counter to get it price matched and the employee replied that its the company policy not to price match the product on the day before and after Black Friday, even though the price was on their own site? Because of this policy, I had to waste my time in line and walk out JUST SO I could order that pair of headphones so I could pick it up in store I am hour or so...Or so I thought. Even though I planned to buy three pairs of those earbuds in store and only ordered one online right after being rejected, I was notified after two hours that that pair of earbuds were out of stock despite the cashier tossing the three pairs aside into a basket for later sorting. Just really bad no brainers on Best Buys side.

Worst ever experience ... Seriously! I got an iPad from the store ,I didnt want the best buycredit card but they provided me false information that I could pay off using my other credit card online or phone. I called the services to pay off but they accept only debit or bank info. So then I again called the store, they insisted I could pay with my original credit card with bonus rewards and connected me to the portal .Then the escalation specialist from Citibank tried to connect to store manager, he didnt pick up the phone either. so basically they dont have knowledge of their own services... I mean do you want to buy at a store who are not accountable and dishonest????think again From a disappointed customer

Terrible. I have visited this Best Buy twice, both times looking up availability of the items I wanted and it saying that this store had them, only to find out that it was not in stock and that I should go check another store. No offer of ordering it for me, etc. Otherwise, staff can be relatively pleasant - when you can find one that can help you. Apparently it takes three different sales people to help out one reasonably attractive female in the computer department while other customers stand around and wait to get help.

Worst manager on earth. Spent $3,000 on a camera, they gave me the wrong memory card, had to drive 45 minutes one way for their mistake, which shouldnt have happened. When I asked how they were going to compensate me for my time wasted, the manager had the nerve to offer me a $10 gift card. I laughed and told him Ill return the stuff and take my business elsewhere and he basically dared me to go ahead. So I am waiting for them to open so I can get my money back and take my business to hhgregg.

Bought an expensive portable bluray player. Only had the floor model, but its the one we wanted. Were only given A/C plug. When we asked about a car charger or remote, we were told this model didnt have them... cost us another $69 to buy them separately! And the 10% they gave us off because it was a floor model, turned out to be the current Sony special! So, we ended up paying more for a used floor model than a new one if we had gone elsewhere. Best Buy will never get my business ever again!

I always go to Best Buy for all the tech needs lol sometimes its great and sometimes its not. But overall its a good store. You should do your research before you buy but the people in there generally dont want to screw you over. We bought a laptop from here and had to bring it back three times. They gave us store credit for the amount of the laptop and let us spend it wherever: we got a better laptop and they saved us as customers because of it. Overall good customer service.

After my horrible visit at Jonestown Rd Best Buy in Harrisburg, I kept my faith in the company and went to this location. I explained my visit at the aforementioned and Sales Consultant Leo and Supervisor Sean (Shawn?) did everything in their power to make up for it! I walked out with exactly what I needed and not what I thought I wanted. Kudos for giving me the facts. Its refreshing to find the coveted "honest salesman" and this Best Buy has them! Will be back.

Have you ever asked a staff member for help? Maybe you called to verify stock (after learning that the online in-store inventory availability checker is basically completely useless) and the staff member assures you that the item is available, only to get there and find that it, indeed, is not? If so, then you understand the rating. How this chain is still open with such consistently horrible customer service is mind blowing.

I had the best experience ever at this Best Buy! Alex in the computer department was so helpful and informative. He was just wonderful. If you need to get a computer and want complete honesty about the product or device you are looking into, find him and he will help you out. Ethan was also helpful. They work very well together and are both very smart. I will absolutely be coming back to this Best Buy to get my next product.

They do a wonderful job with cell phones there. Very knowledgeable and often there is a Samsung rep on site which is very nice. They were a little slow this weekend back at car stereos. We waited and looked for about 30 minutes and had to go find someone then had to wait for an installer to free up to remove the last unit of a model we wanted from the wall. It took way too long but we were Happy overall with the purchase.
