Horrible Customer Service. The "workers" in this store only move quickly when its closing time. I arrived to pick up an online order and the doorman closed the door in my face. I asked him if I could just pickup my online order. He then asked me about it. So I informed him that: 1) Im just here for a online purchase pickup. 2) I have paid for the item and showed the receipt. 3) I have been waiting (and waiting) at Five Guys for email notification that it was ready. 4) It took them TWO HOURS to pull the item AND notify me that it was ready. After going through all that, he said he cant help me and I have to come back tomorrow. I asked why did he have me waste more time telling him this if no one was going to help me? A second person walked up from behind the first one and said that all the registers were closed out already and Id have to pick it up tomorrow. I informed them that I drove 45 minutes from Hummelstown to pick this scale up tonight; and NOW they expect me to spend over THREE HOURS driving for a purchase that they hemmed and hawed over pulling until after closing time. I asked why didnt someone pull my order when it printed out, instead of waiting until closing time to do it? They said they dont know, but they are closed now. I said that is terrible service. The second guy turned around and started walking around in the store. The first guy said "Oh well, tomorrow is another day." And he closed up the door again and walked off into the store. Worst Customer Service, Ever!!! I think Ill stick to the Best Buy in Harrisburg if I want anything local. Contrary to Best Buy-Yorks behavior, being rude, arrogant, and condescending is not good business. This was the third and FINAL time that I was foolish enough to think things would go well after ordering items for pickup from this Best Buy in York. If it wasnt for the great service I get from the Harrisburg East store, Id never shop at Best Buy again. I will (regrettably) use Amazon for anything my local Best Buy cant get in a day or two. The Best Buy at 2865 Concord Rd, York, PA, 17402 has lost my personal business, company businesses, and the business of every single person I know.

Car Audio Service Lacking: I purchased and had a radio installed 3 weeks ago. While driving to work a wire that connects the microphone to the radio fell from the dash. When getting out of may car my feet pulled it and it was disconnected. I called to make an appointment but was not able to get someone to pick up the phone. After finally getting someone to do so I found it was not possible to stop by and have them do a quick fix of their issue. It was necessary to make an appointment. I also found that they would not make an appointment in advance of me producing a "yellow" paper proving I had the installation performed by them. They refused to look into the computer to see the just a few weeks before I had paid for the install. I drove the yellow paper 20 miles to the Best Buy and produced the paper. They made a copy but informed me that they could not make an appointment for me as only the installers could and they had left for the day. (They were actually in the install bay but apparently could not be troubled to resolve their issue.) My wife then took over the effort the next day. After trying for two hour the following business day to get someone to pick up the phone we had our appointment! Because I work 65 miles away I left work early to make my 6PM appointment. After navigating past 3 accidents to make it here 5 min early, it is 7:25 and I am still standing (no waiting room) here waiting for my car to be pulled into the work bay. I WILL go to a local small business in the future. UPDATE - It is now 8:30 and I am back home. The fix only took 5 min. They are nice people. Unfortunately, in the process of fixing the microphone, they disconnected the steering wheel controls. Ugh! Although this will cost me I will go to a small business rather than go back. I value my time more then Best Buy does.

Shopping experience, great. As a former employee, the experience was okay, but could be a lot better. The main problem is that you are told that you cant spend more than a certain amount of minutes with a customer. Thats bullcrap. When you are working with customers, its all about, satisfying the customer. If that satisfaction takes an hour, it takes an hour. If I was wanting help, needed things explained to me, the one thing I dont expect is for the employee to say, "Ah, sorry sir, but our 12 minutes is up, come back tomorrow" What I expect to hear is, "I will do everything it takes to get this figured out" And if it takes an hour to figure things out, then it takes an hour, and the other customers either come back, or there are more staff to help other customers, who may only take 5 minutes for needing help. I have never in all of my life, heard such a thing, that we can only be with the customer for so long. And when I tell the customer that, they always say, oh, thats crappy. But, Best Buy doesnt see it that way, and well, in the end, for a computer store, there are much better places out there than the almighty Best Buy. If youve never heard of Micro Center, go check it out. Its located in Joppa MD, but if you need to build a computer, or you want PC parts, they have it all, plus they have stuff there that youd never think they would have. And the service at Micro Center, definitely tops Best Buy any day. Plus, you dont even need a receipt to return a defective item. Just bring in the box with the item inside. Micro Center IS the place to go for computers.

Very poor experience.Went in looking for a new car stereo. We walked the entire store, was not asked once if we needed assistance. We found a stereo/special they were currently running. Spent around 20 mins in that section of the store. Was never asked if we needed help. Although there were employees around. Stocking. Went to geek squad desk, employee said theyd page someone to assist us. 15 minutes later, no one shows. During our entire time waiting, there was an employee 10 feet away stocking. We went up to him, asked for assistance, was told again that someone would be paged to come assist us. Another 10 minutes pass. No one. Headed back to geek squad area, asked for a manager. They attempted to give us two employees (one of which blantantly said "I dont know anything about car stereo") before we were given a manager. She was decent, but not overly apologetic. We scheduled to have the stereo installed. Show up to appointment. Dropped off car, was called 20 minutes later. Was told the parts for installing werent correct and they needed to order a new part. The same bag of parts we were given at the initial appointment. So this mistake should have been caught at that time. So we have to wait two weeks for the part. And then X amount of time until they can schedule us in to install after said part arrives. Absolutely do not recommend this Best Buy to anyone. Poor management and customer service.
