My friend rented a snowboard from them. They seemed nice until things happened. The binding broke suddenly when my friend full speeded down the hill. He rolled down all the way and almost be killed. The reason is plastic aging apparently. We came back to their store for an answer. They claimed they have no responsibility on this safety issue and said they should have charged us cuz the binding was broken. Their attitude was negative. They even didnt say sorry when we first came in for this. One of the guys even said its possible we broke it on purpose and complained this for 25$ refund? Serious? Its never about money. Can I pay you 50$ and you snowboard on your broken board? We are never in short of good rental shops. We need them care about customers life and show their caring attitude when we really have problems especially about life and death.

I lost the key to my Thule box on the morning of the most major storm Killington has seen in a long time. Dave the owner set us up right away with high-performance rental fat skis for us and the kids. He felt so bad for us that he seriously discounted the entire package and got it done fast so we could still make first tracks, which we did thanks to his attitude and quick work. Like others said about Blackdog, theres a really positive vibe and the staff are awesome, gave us great info on how to ski Killington and also handled an overnight core shot repair for one of the dads in our group at very reasonable rates which were no more than wed pay at our local ski shop back in Ontario. Id highly recommend them for rentals, repairs and equipment. Very nice people who are passionate about skiing and boarding!

Black Dog is a great ski shop and perfect place to rent equipment before hitting the slopes in Killington. The staff is super friendly and helpful and can help with any questions you have. Rental prices are pretty great too, at about $25 a day. If you are around for a weekend, it’s so nice to be able to rent here and keep the stuff at your rental cabin for the weekend before returning it. Getting the equipment ready was pretty quick. From arrival to paying and leaving with equipment was less than 30 minutes. It’s also a really quick and easy jump across the road to the lifts at the mountain with your stuff.

Best ski rental place Ive been to! I didnt like the first set of skis they gave me so they swapped them out no questions asked for a 2018 demo pair which were absolutely amazing. They were keen to get feedback on the skis as well - clearly love what they do and theyre damn good at it as well! Unbelievable that their prices are also lower than the main resort, which has the most bog standard crappy skis. Dont get the rental package with the ski pass, come here if youre renting at Killington!!

Dave is so down to earth and a very skilled technician. Nobody knows how to take care of snowboards or skiis as well as Dave. He has prepped our boards for years, both for recreation and competition. He is also very affordable. We are a local VT family and he treats us the same as the professional skier or snowboarder coming into his shop. You must stop by and see him and his crew. Left them take care of all your ski and snowboard needs this winter. You will not be disappointed.

My family and I have been going to Killington for about four years now. We came up in October for the Columbus Day Ski Swap and were able to walk away with skis for less than $120. But, there was a problem with my brothers brake. So, when we arrived in town we went to get it fixed and they didnt charge us for repairs. When we went other times, Dave gave us great discounts and was very friendly. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone.

I usually take care of my board myself but when I need something done thats above my ability to handle the only place that touches it is Black Dog Sports. By far the best shop on the access road. Hand tunes and waxes rather than just running it thru a machine with 100 other boards. Dave and the boys are the best

Needed to get bindings attached to new skis. First went to Potter Brothers, they said it would cost $60 and take 3 days at the earliest. They also did a quick tune for no extra charge. Here they did this for $50, and in 15 minutes. Staff is very friendly as well.

There is no other board shop you should visit while in Killington! Dave the owner will treat your board, or skis like his own if your looking for the fresh new gear or the best wax job on the mountain go to Black Dog Sports!

Brakes snapped completely off my first run at Killington - took them to Black Dog and they replaced it there for $10 in less than 3 minutes. Extremely reasonable and professional, 5 stars for sure.

Being a ski shop employee I tend to have pretty high standards, but black dog did not dissapoint! Will be back in the future for sure. Great local shop!

A little pricey, but thats normal for "just off mountain" ski shops.
