Poor communication Pushy sales people concerned about their commission Dont stand by products I bought a S&F bed 2 years ago that turned out to be defective- giving me back and hip problems. I spoke with someone on the phone who said a service person would contact me. After 2 weeks later I went into the store personally. They sent someone out who found the mattress to be defective. The box spring was not checked, even though I thought it was a problem as well. I was told I could have store credit toward a different mattress only - not a boxs pring , and not other furniture, which I in fact need. Even though they do not carry the bed that my doc recommended, I went in to try out beds. The salesperson was very pushy and insisted that one particular brand was the best and kept insisting that I try it again- I would like it. Of course, they were the most expensive mattresses they had. I asked to see one brand and she wouldnt even show it to me and had to go find it myself. I settled on a mattress and was told it was in stock. After placing the order, was told it would be in in 2-4 weeks. Thats not really in stock. I had to call them to find out when the bed would arrive. I was told it would be delivered on Sat. But then I got a call saying it was coded for a different ware house and wouldnt be delivered until the following Tuesday. The guys came and set it up. It didnt look any different than the other one- high on sides, sloping in the middle. They sent another guy out to look at it, he decided that the frame was not the right size for the box. He did not even look at the box, which I think is part of the problem. I mentioned that I was thinking about getting platform frame for it. The next thing I know the pushy sales person is calling me w. estimates for a platform bed. I called the manager. She insisted that it wasnt their problem as the frame was not theirs- I must have gotten somewhere else, or had it hanging around from some previous bed, etc. (doesnt everyone have metal bed frames hanging around?) My husband helped the guys set up the original bed and says they brought the frame. We went round and round. She conceded that they may have brought it w. them, but it would have been a free one (which turned out to be defective and gave me orthopedic problems). So the best the manager could do is send someone out to replace the frame for $39. She acted like she was doing me a favor by warranteeing the original bed. She was also doing me a favor by not charging me for delivery and set up of the new frame. I pointed out that this was a 3k sale and asked her if worth creating ill-will and permanently lose a customer over $39. The answer apparently is yes. Update: The Tempurpedic is currently on Craigs List.

If youre looking for a great place to get amazing deals on furniture look no further than Bennington Furniture in Rutland! The entire staff was so helpful and friendly you cant go wrong. They have such a wide variety of pieces, and they are always current with the latest trends and styles. The sales representative we worked with was Chelsea Monaco, and we are forever grateful she was able to find us exactly what we were looking for. She was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable of the products, she could answer any questions or concerns we had thought of. Even when she dealing with multiple customers at a time she was still making sure our needs were being met. I could go on all day about how amazing our experience was! We are just so incredibly impressed with Chelseas skills and expertise that we will certainly continue going to Bennington for all our furniture needs. We left with plenty of her business cards so we can recommend her salesmanship to all of our friends, family and coworkers! We also had the pleasure of meeting the General Manager Jaci Terrill who does an amazing job managing several of Benningtons locations! She was very professional and had no problem assisting with anything we needed.Overall a great experience with great employees who are passionate about what they do! 5 out of 5 stars every time!

I am VERY disappointed with Bennington furniture. My husband and I went in about a month ago when they were having a sale. We needed some things to furnish our new home. We did not receive any assistance when in the store and we had to search for somebody to help us. We ended up purchasing a 3 pieces living room table set. They said that unless we wanted the model on the floor (which was all dinged up) they would have to order it. We but 1/2 down and they said it would be in in ten days. 12 days later we called and were told "sorry we FORGOT to put the order in but we will do it now". They said they would call when it came in. 10 days later no call so we called, no tables, but they again said they would call us when they come in...no call after 15 days so called back. "Oh yea we just got them in"... 25 days later! They told us in the beginning that they would assemble them for us. They were in on a Friday but said they couldnt have them assembled until Monday, and would call...Monday no call, Tuesday no call...finally I called them, 29 days later, my tables are in and ready for pickup. Needless to say after this experience I will NOT be buying from Bennington Furniture again. Do check out Bare Bones in Rutland though, wonderful to work with and great furniture. Much more reliable than Bennington!

Worst customer service ever! I have several stories, but the most recent is a table i ordered, it came in damaged, which they said was just a drawer that wasnt working properly, come to find out, after inspection by my husband, the table was broken and cracked in several places. They offered to order me a new one, which i accepted. I had already waited for the original to arrive, i was told 7 to 10 days, now its been 18 days and not a single car from them. I called to get an update this morning, and come to find out they are not open until 10, but instead of having an answering machine, the phone just rings and rings and then disconnects you. What kind of business is this that you dont even has a machine telling you they are closed and the normal business hours? After several bad experiences, I will never shop here again. On top of now it now being 5 weeks since my original purchase, i was never offered any kind of discount for the inconvenience!

Tara was our sales person who spent over 1 1/2 hours showing us all the different mattresses available. She took the time to tell us all about every mattress we looked at . When we got to the tempurpedic line of adjustable beds she encouraged us to test all of them for comfort and explained all of the features each one had . She was very knowledgeable about the adjustable beds which was very helpful for us in making our decision on which bed we wantedShe explained all the options available to purchase one of the beds,and we were pleased at the fact there was 72 months of interest free financing which she helped us to obtain and we were very happy when we were approved... Tara went above & beyond to get us the deal that we wanted . We were very happy with her sales ability and her patience with us . Shes the best!!!
