First of all this was our second purchase from here. Our first purchase was pleasant. They delivered what they promised. There was no hidden fees or surprises. I attempted to purchase other vehicle there May 2015. I walked in there with a check for $18,000 ready to purchase. After a few test drives of vehicles I wasnt not interested in, I drove an Altima. I really liked it and wanted to make a purchase. After telling the salesman I didnt want a payment and that I was only interested in paying cash, he kept trying to get me to get a loan. After about an hour of trying to make the numbers work I was told they couldnt make it happen without getting a loan, due to the out the door cost. My 3rd attempt on a purchasing a car here was Aug.03, 2017. After a hour or two of driving to different car lots. My husband and I were ready to give up. We explained to Mark Maxwell want we were interested in and what we didnt want. Out of about 10 different SUVs only one really caught our eye, come to find out it was already sold. We then went on to another dealership where we stood out in the lot with the other salesman Leo, who was in training while Mark went in side to try to make the numbers work. After about 45 minutes of standing outside in the 97° heat. Mark Maxwell finally came out and said it was a no go! During that time I had done some research and found a 2011 Armada in another Dealership. (KEEP IN MIND THIS IS WHAT WE WERE LOOKING FOR TO BEGIN WITH!) We then go to the other dealership and take the Armada for a spin. We immediately fell in love with it. We go back to LHM used cars and start to crunch numbers. We told him we didnt want the payment to be over $400. Mark came back and said the lowest he could get the payments down to was $471. I looked at the paper work and noticed that price he wrote down was $1000 more than it was originally listed at. So I bring that up and he gave me this dumb founded look and went make to the office. He then came back and apologized and told us he got the payment to $441. It was more than we wanted but we agreed. Then after waiting a hour for the finance department they finally call us back. We then are offered a pretty awesome warranty which we gladly accepted and justified purchasing. It made our payments to $471. We left happy and content with our purchase. A few days later we had to return to sign all the bank documents and were told he had to make a down payment of $1000. In which we had already mention we didnt want to do. We came to an agreement and left. Well today. 3 weeks after our purchase we get a letter stating that out payments are more than we agreed on. Now we are stuck with a $571 car payment!!!! So would I recommend this place to anyone?? HECK No! Not to mention. When we test drove the Armada the 2 salesman knew nothing about the vehicle. I was the one telling him all the features. Its not the trainees fault he still learning. MARK should of knew better. He should have done his homework. To top it off he did most of the work. Instead of teaching the new guy. Our mission is to continuously exceed the expectations of our customers, employees, and our community. Part of their mission statement is "We will strive to deliver perfect service through uncompromising commitments to continuous improvement. Our promise is to create an environment of mutual trust and respect;" The service was far from perfect and they definitely lost our trust! We will never purchase from here again! We will NEVER in a million years recommend anyone to this place. Thanks again LHM used cars for out $571 Payment that we did not agree too!

Another one star-wish-I-could-do-0 for Riverdale LHM used car supermarket. Should have read the other reviews before even going there, but we were trying to hurry. We went to 5 different dealerships between Friday and Saturday looking to trade our GMC Envoy in and get a truck. I drove through the lot first looking over the trucks and I should have been worried from the start. A salesman walked after my vehicle all the way to the end of the lot and blocked my vehicle from turning around so he could introduce himself. But, I chalked that up to eager friendly service. So we walk inside and he grabs a form and starts getting all of our personal information before weve even looked at any trucks and then asks for the key to my envoy so they could look it over for trade in. I wish I hadnt done that. Remember, we still hadnt even looked at any trucks. Then came the hand off. A manager came over to talk to us and reiterate everything we told the first guy and said the first guy would show us some trucks. Well, why did you even come over, then? We told them our budget was $23k. They pulled up a fairly decent Dodge Ram 1500 but it still hadnt been cleaned because they just got it on a trade in. We decided to test drive it. Out of the five dealerships we went to, this was the only one that sent their salesman along for the drive. Very awkward. So we get back and the salesman said this truck would be the cheapest on the lot but didnt know how much it was, so his crystal ball must have been working that day. We decide to go look at a different lot so I tell him that and ask for my key back, and he acts like he wasnt aware they hadnt given it back yet. So he goes back inside, presumably to get my key and the manager comes out instead and says, "So what Im hearing is its the wrong vehicle or the wrong price." I said the other guy told me it was the cheapest one they had and the manager said that might not be true and to come look at some others. By then Id had enough of their shady sales tactics and just said I wanted my key back so we could go. He says sure and starts walking back inside. He hadnt even brought it out with him. I followed him in to get it and he had to get someone behind a counter to give it back to me. Its like they wanted to hold it for ransom. Then the manager wanted to give me a call later after they brought down another truck from somewhere else. Needless to say, if they do call me I wont be going back. Those kinds of sales practices feel so shady and seedy, theres no way to feel comfortable and have any trust in the people who use them. After reading some of the other reviews for the Riverdale location, Im so glad I got out of there and took my business somewhere else. How many bad reviews does it take to make a change LHM? I think you have a good enough sampling right here...

On May 30, 2016, My wife and I decided to buy our first Mini Van. LHM had a tent sale going on at the Newgate Mall as a special for Memorial Day. At first, we were gladly welcomed by an outstanding salesman. I will not name the salesman, he is no longer with them and he is the only good thing (beside our mini van) that came out of this experience. Once we got past all of the mumbo jumbo of the back and forth of negotiating, and them telling us they could not go any lower on their prices, we had a horrible experience ever since. Issue #1: After purchasing the vehicle, they offered to wash it for us. We accepted the offer. The vehicle came out of the wash just as dirty as it went in. There was dirt on the outside, the car had not been vacuumed, and there was chocolate on the tv screens in the back of the van. I am not sure if they even attempted to clean the vehicle. Issue #2: We were called in about two weeks after purchasing the vehicle and were told we needed to resign some of our papers. Apparently the first finance company they choose to go through did not like the deal and turned it down. LHM found America First Credit Union who accepted the terms about 5 weeks into us owning the car. However, LHM messed up some of the paperwork and we ended up going in a THIRD time to sign our contract. In the meantime, I received a call from my previous finance company for the vehicle I traded in to LHM and was told I am delinquent on my car payment. I informed them that I traded that vehicle in over a month ago. LHM never paid off the vehicle. My account with that other finance company was sent to collections and my credit score was affected. I mentioned this to one of the Finance guys at LHM and told me that that was the last thing on his mind. Issue #3: When you purchase a vehicle form a dealership, they give you a 45 day temporary registration permit. Since LHM messed up on the financing of the vehicle, the permit expired and LHM refused to help us out with this issue. I was told my LHM that I need to just park my car and wait for them to finish with the financing. HOW DID I SOLVE MY OWN ISSUES? I contacted the Motor Vehicle Enforcement Division and filed two complaints against LHM. One for failure to pay off my trade in and failure to provide registration. After speaking with the Motor Vehicle Enforcement Division, they informed me that I can go get my own registration. I payed $11 at the DMV and got my own license plate and registration. This is not my only bad experience with LHM Used Car Supermarket. I tried them in the past and had a horrible experience. I do not recommend this place to anyone.
