This Nordstroms store is horrible. Ive been a customer of Nordstroms ever since they arrived in Phoenix. I have lived in the Salt Lake area now for a year and a half and always dread coming to this one. Its the closest one to my house. Yesterday I came to this store and had the worst experience ever. Every employee at the Rail was at the cashier station minling and talking about their weekend plans. I expected to not be approached near that area as experience has shown and indeed I was correct. It kind of made a game about it. I was actually interested in purchasing something, but the longer I was there and not being approached by a sales person the more bugged I was getting. Not one person said "hello" or "how can I help you today". No one. So then I went into the Mens Furnishings department looking for a Calibrate shirt. And to no surprise the woman working that I actually made eye contact with said nothing. Didnt approach me, nothing. So annoying. After walking around for what seemed like an eternity an employee with a bow-tie walked directly passed me and said "how are you doing" "fine, how are you?" "good thanks" and off he went. Ive seen they guy around before. He actually kind of taught me how to tie a bow-tie. But after that I was done. I just wanted to yell back "really, thats all youre going to say is good thanks? youre not even going to attempt to make a sale? Awful! So bad! I was appalled and left there dissatisfied. I love Nordstroms clothing, selection, and sometimes their customer service, but I will never visit the Fashion Place store again. I kept thinking "they would never treat me like this in Phoenix". Maybe the City Creek store will provide at least some customer service. Maybe. Or maybe Ill just have to go to Phoenix to shop.

Terrible experience. Went to return a $600 coat and their system said I had already returned it, which I clearly hadnt because the coat was IN MY HANDS. I pulled up my credit card info online to show I hadnt received a refund for it and spent the next hour waiting for customer service and the manager in charge to figure it out, all the while treating ME like a crook, like I was trying to be dishonest and receive a refund twice. No, I was trying to return a coat I didnt want. I couldnt believe how they treated me. Always be on your customers side. Their response should have been, "Wow this is weird, our. Our system obviously glitched. Lets figure this out and make sure you get your refund." Instead it was, "Youve been refunded. Were keeping the coat because its ours. You can call credit to see if they can figure it out." Even when they were told that we didnt like how they were treating us, the girl especially just stared at me and acted like it was my problem. Blown away with how awful that experience was. I wont be coming back to Nordstrom Fashion Place.

Go to the Nordstrom in SLC. I am from Seattle and have done all my shopping at Nordstrom and it is the best company in the world however not all Nordstrom stores are the same. I got a couple ties for christmas and I did not have the receipt and I tried to find them on the persons account who bought them for me and I did not have any success. We looked up orders online and we still had no success and I was fine with staying with the ties but the manager was very rude. She wouldnt look at me when talking and continued her business as if I wasnt there. She in a sense argued with me saying I was wrong on how in the past I have had no problem returning ties with no receipt but still had the barcode and price on them. I told her I have never had a problem in the past in returning them in SLC or in the Seattle area but she did not believe me.She said Nordstrom employees would not do that. If you want better service, better selection, and a just a overall better Nordstrom, go to the SLC one.

My review is about the perfumecologne section in this store. I would give zero stars if I had the option. I was at this store on 7/8/2017 around 2 pm, I was looking for a mens cologne( terre dhermes ) which they did not carry, so I started checking out other colognes while I was there and a sales lady was helping me out, I dont have any complaints with the lady who was helping me. While the lady was talking to me, a male sales associate working in the cologne department barged into our conversation and asked the lady to help another customer and went on to do his work, which was very rude, I left the store immediately. Ive never had such bad customer services from any of the Macys stores in SLC area. I used to like Nordstrom, but this one bad apple caused such a bad experience that I hate going to Nordstrom for any of my future purchases. I will stick with Macys and Amazon for my shopping needs.

My daughter and I walked through the store looking for the make up counters. We were looking for something specific. Lots of employees talking to each other, but no one asked us what we needed. The MAC area was packed with lots of people. The musik was way too loud. We left, since no one cared about what we needed. On our way back, we stopped in the girls section. My daughter found something she loved. We looked around for an employee or help, but thought the regular prices were way out of our league. We made our way to check out. With the musik so loud, I could not hear what the sales associate was saying...mumbled something about someone helping us (NOPE). She then shoved our clearance item into a flat paperbag and we were on our way. WOW!!! Someone better step up their customer service, turn down the musik and pay attention! My daughter said, "That store is so snooty"

So purchased shoes online, didnt fit, came in the store to exchange them. Lady helping me switched to right size but the boots were extremely scuffed the leather looked worn and in terrible quality. Its partially my fault I was in a rush and did not check the boots but I just couldnt believe those boots were even available for purchase. So I called to have them hold the boots again, guy I talked to was rude and rushed. I hope he actually has them on hold. Fingers crossed that the 3rd time is a charm to get the right boots. Customer care was super nice and friendly though.

I received excellent customer service over the phone for a Christmas gift purchase by Krissy Duke in the Handbags department. I cant imagine a more busy time than noon on Christmas Eve, yet when I called I was answered by a pleasant person on the first ring and was transferred to even a more pleasant person within one ring as well. Krissy made it so easy for me to get my purchase without coming in the store, and she even met me at my car to deliver my purchase. Truly outstanding customer service!

Had two "WOW" experiences at Nordstrom. 1st-the in store attendant was very unhelpful, my wife waited for a LONG time to get changing room and to checkout, then the security tag was left on the clothing. However, the store manager, Stephani, more than remedied the experience. She was VERY professional and caring to her customers. We were 100% taken care of. Because of my great customer service experience I will be shopping even more at Nordstrom in Fashion Place!
