Was referred to this store by Suzuki of Salt Lake because these guys were supposedly the only store in the entire state of Utah that had the part that I needed. Drove 20+ miles to pick up the part. Drove another 20+ miles only to return home and find out the part i had bought did not fit the bike correctly. Thought it was my mistake. So I drove another 20 miles there and 20 miles back to return this $30 part in its exact same wrapper it was purchased in. Fast forward two weeks later- come to find out- the return transaction that this store issued and gave me a receipt for; was never posted to my bank account!!! So I call them to sort it out. Spoke with an employee from parts, named Mike- who accuses me of returning the incorrect part, and possibly buying some other part online and attempting to return it to them! Mike tells me that if I want the $30 refund that was already issued and then denied days later (with no attempt to contact me) I need to provide proof to him- that I bought the part I needed from some other online store. RIDICULOUS!!! The part this store gave me didnt fit the bike because it was put in the wrong package from the very begining. That was the problem! So im paying for their mistake and they could care less about pleasing the customer. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND SHOPPING ELSEWHERE! Not impressed at all- with any part of this establishment. Not worth the time or money to deal with such a sketchy cut throat establishment. I will not return nor ever refer friends or family to Layton Cycle.

I just called the service department to try to set up an appointment to get a recall taken care of on my bike. They refused to set up an appointment even though they have the recall parts available and ready to go. Now I understand that dealers hate dealing with recalls because they are given limited time to fix the issue and dont really profit from them. I get it. The person on the other line basically blew me off however. I asked if they have the parts in stock and he said they did but they are busy three weeks out. I said thats fine, I would like to make an appointment after that point because this would be my only transportation, I dont have someone to pick me up, and I dont have the time to just bring the bike in and wait all day while you take care of everyone on a first come first serve basis. He then told me that it would just be best if I bring it in at the end of the riding season because they are way too busy to do anything on it for the summer. He then said that hes never seen one fail so I shouldnt worry. This is the only dealership Ive ever been put on the back burner like this over a recall. I purchased this very motorcycle from Layton Cycle last year and the sales experience was great. Of course, they were making money off me then. It would be nice if the same type of customer service would be shown to all customers, not just paid service work and motorcycle sales. Thats what keeps your customers coming back guys. Now Im going to go to another dealership.

Took my rear tire on my street bike in to get replaced. The service employee I talked to initially was nice and told me I could most likely have my tire mounted and balanced within the day. I went to talk to a salesman about the tire. He quoted me $40 more than what I had previously bought the tire for, from an online source. I asked nicely if he could make any adjustments to get the prices a little closer and he didnt like my request. I told him that was okay and that I would go shop around. As I was walking away the salesman made a smart comment to me and that was the end for me and Layton Cycle & Sports. I ended up going to Adrenaline Moto about 15 miles away. THEY asked how much I paid for the last tire and had absolutely no problem matching the price. They had the tire mounted and balanced for me in twenty minutes. I also got a 2k mile warranty on the tire where they will replace the tire for me if I pick up another piece of debris that ruins the tire. Their price was still cheaper than what Layton Cycle was going to charge me for the tire alone.

I had gone in to see if they had an xsr900 which they did not have in stock. The person working there had mentioned that they had one that they were putting together and it would be there the next morning. I showed up the next morning to find that the bike had been sold the previous week. Despite the bad news the guy working there was really cool about it and really positive and apologetic. He gave me some great advice for getting myself into the motorcycle community and buying a bike when I am ready for it. Teenage experience was top notch even though I didnt get to sit on an sxr900. I did get to try the fz09 and the fz10 and I loved sitting on them. I will be going back to purchase a bike from them as soon as I can convince my wallet to hold on to the money long enough to afford one.

Ive been to this store frequently since November. In fact, frequently. Last November I began the process of collecting 8 ATVs for my family. Obviously I couldnt buy them new so I had to buy used off KSL and this dealership is where Ive gotten the bulk of my parts to repair them. Theyve always treated me politely and theyve always been helpful. Today there was a question about which main jet would work in one of my carburetors so the parts department let me take several home to figure out which one worked and then bring the rest back and work out the costs when I get it figured out. Where else would do that? Im very happy with the parts department at this place and highly recommend them.

I had called in trying to find a part to a Honda knowing that they dont carry Honda. Somehow I ended up losing my dipstick and am trying to find a replacement quickly so I can make a ride coming up in a day. Although they werent able to help get the part, the parts employee was extremely helpful! He checked to see if another brand might work and called their Honda store for me to see if they had one in stock! He even gave me the part number so when I call other stores it will make things go smoothly. He went way beyond my expectations. I will definitely call them again when I need something.

Nick was really professional. Ive had sales guys try to get me to buy from them by trash talking competing brands, and/or dealers. I had a Can-Am guy once tell me why an Outlander was better than a Sportman and all he came up with was "The name on the side of the machine" and even went so for as have one of his mechanics say "Polaris are a piece of s**t!". Not Nick, he compared, absolutely no trash talk. Second, on of my machines had an issue from the factory. Took it in, Jeremy took care of me and had me on my way in no time. Some of the best guys in the business. Highly recommend.
