I just left. One customer was in line. It was apparent, there was a problem, with her receipt or bill. The cashier was doing her best. This was at customer Svc. I asked if there was another register open. The young lady w/ head set on said customer Svc. She was talking w/ another person a young lady. A young man walked in the customer service area with a telson. By this time there was 4 people in customer service., which included the cashier. The man behind me ask a young lady stocking if she was open. She said no. Customer service. By this time there was 3 -4 of us waiting. Also there was a person greeting you when you came in. I put the reels and hooks I was getting my brother on the register and left. Apparently we were not important enough, or not a priority. Someone should have noticed that the customer service cashier had a problem . Im very disappointed

Disappointed with the "young" inexperienced staff at this location. Tried to purchase shoes, 3 and 4 staff members talking with each other discussing how they did not like to work at Academy. (They should thank God they have a job!!!). Asked for assistance and clerk was unable to help. This associate asked a fellow associate who did not really seem to want to help. He reluctantly gave him some pointers on how to find the product. Associate was gone 5 minutes and returned and said they were out of stock. Overall: POOR RATING ON CUSTOMER SERVICE. Young people are not trained well in customer service or just dont care. They do not realize WHO pays their salary! If they realized this, I believe their attitude would be different. I went to another store and bought the shoes I wanted. Their loss!

great place....employees are very helpful. store is always organized. EXCELLENT selection. I visit this store religiously because its very close to where i live. One thing that I am sure all retailers do that I feel is wrong. I noticed over Holiday Shopping 2016 their sales on NAME BRAND hoodies (very first display you see) Huge sign stating 20% off, next week 25% etc....I bought 2 hoodies the Wednesday before black Friday with no advertised discount, just up front display. Price on tag $39.95. Next week 20% discount, price tag $54.95. The following week 25% off, price tag $59.95. Come on Academy, I thought you guys were different from all the other greedy companies.

I was looking for football cleats for my son and had found a pair that was priced just right and in the colors he was looking for, however couldnt find them in his size, but an employee came to my rescue. She climbed a ladder and dug around until she found them and next thing I knew was that I was the hero. Not only was the service awesome, so were the prices. The offered a variety of shoes, hunting gear, sport clothes and equpiment, and even sold vegan cookies.

I am from Abilene Texas I went to Academy in Sugarland today to by shoes for my son. The young lady that helped me find the perfect shoes for football was amazing. She pulled several sizes and colors to help him.pick which ones he wanted. Even helped make sure they fit! I wish I would of looked at her name tag so I could let u know the young ladys name. I have never had anyone help that much at the academy where I live!!! Thank u!

Bought a Yeti cup from there and its the best tumbler Ive ever owned! Customer service was ok. I asked an associate where I can find the yeti cup and he didnt know where our was. There was a huge display down the aisle. I would assume that they would know where a popular item would be be at.

Good selection and wide variety. We went in to get a beach umbrella but they were sold out. But the employee who helped us was really great and helped us find an alternative sports shelter on sale within the same budget we wanted for the umbrella. Will definitely come here again.

Disappointing experience... Nice store...some employees friendly and customer service oriented. Some not all. Incredible poor service...very rude cashiers. They need a staff make over...especially the younger ones. Wont be going back...
