I love going to the River Center mall when I visit San Antonio. However the shopping selection seems to be lesser than other shopping centers and malls I have visited. For it being 3 levels it still leaves a lot to be desired. The easy access to the River Walk and nice outside views are great! You can dine at a handful of restaurants here that offer outside dining Such as Chilis, Hooters and Tony Romas. The mall also acts as a cut through for the River Walk so the mall stays open later to allow travel to and from the River Walk. However the stores close at their normal times. Overall this is a great place to go to kill some time or use as a cut through to soak up some A/C during the hot summer months!!

Its a cool place to hang out with your friends especially with the new Dave and busters in their, the stores have some variety bit its nothing of an oddity, I do dislike the fact that this is the only mall I go to where homeless people try make me give my money to them so dont dress too flashy. If it wasnt until they built the taco bell I would say the food courts a over priced waste of time most of them sell the same thing and shout at you to try their chewy chicken. But unlike other malls there is a lot of places to check out near it which is good for mixing things up so its alot more favorable for the walking or biking type.

The mall is great but let me warn you to be very careful if you go to Relaxstation Tranquility. I had a foot massage and a 30-minute massage. Everything was great until it got time to pay. It was 78. The people do not know English very well and then he wanted a $20 tip. At home, I dont even pay this much for an hour massage that does what they did plus their technique is very different than the traditional massages I have gotten before.

In the center of the city this mall offers everything from an Imax theater to Daves and Busters with plenty of restaurants and every shop you expect at mall. Is also on the Riverwalk and has been recently renovated to look beautiful. Parking is not the easiest because its downtown but there is a parking garage located in the mall off of Commerce street and a garage across the street off of Bowie and Commerce.

Although I do like the new extension that offers new food and shops, I do not like the stores selection available in this mall anymore. I know it is aimed towards tourists, but I feel like there is confusion between what audience the mall is trying to reach. There are too many gift shop style stores with Texas/Asian merchandise, and a lot of seemingly knock off stores selling Pokemon items, cheap toys, etc.

Excellent shopping center! What makes it great is that it comprises both everything you want from downtown shopping and a suburban shopping center. The list of shopping and dining options seems endless. Combine that with the added ambiance of this mall being wrapped around a branch of the San Antonio River Walk, and what you have is a perfect shopping destination.

The layout is a bit confusing as three levels exist but are not connected in a logical manner. The clientele are also sometimes difficult as drunk people seem to gravitate here and yours requires a police presence which is welcome but unfortunate that it is necessary. The only reason I come here is for the Ghirardelli which has many delicious options...

I pigged out here - I will go again when in San Antonio. I think it was slightly high on the $$ - but what the heck it is my expense account. I had the mixed crab pot - WOW it was Awesome and cooked just right. Staff friendly and helpful in making my selection which resulted in passing out from eating a lot. Got there if you like Crab and a beer!

Not sure how many tourists go shopping for stuff here, we didnt. We did make full use of the variety of pubs and restaurants at this place. There is a wide variety of food available for every budget. After a walk around the river on a hot summer day, the air conditioned river center is a good idea.

Rivercenter Mall is my favorite mall in the State of Texas by far. Its in the heart of Downtown San Antonio. Its next to the Alamodome, close by UTSA Downtown Campus, amazing restaurants, the Riverwalk, hotels and Towers of the Americas. Everyone else will definitely enjoy it!

Awesome place,. A must see attraction. Lota of shops and resturants around here , i disnt eat at any of the resturants by the river walk as they are expensive but i did eat at chinese outlet at the mall nearby. You do have cheaper options at the mall .

My biggest beef with this place is $5 for parking for the first hour! Yikes, Im already spending money, so thats an added tax to wherever Ive purchased here. I dont know why they dont validate for the first 30 minutes, at least... wait, I do! GREED!

Smallest mall in san antonio area. But I also understand its in downtown. Store selection is OK & Macys is the only major dept store left. Good if youre coming from the riverwalk need an air conditioned building to chill in.

I didnt find this much different than any other shopping center in America. The people are very nice and the facility is clean. Other than that, not a destination by itself. The river walk is amazing however.

Rivercenter Mall is always a fun place to see. It has an open layout that makes it flow well with the Riverwalk. It is also clean & attractive. I will surely visit again on another trip to San Antonio.

Finally the construction is over or at least almost,hope they get some good shops in the vacant lots one of my favorite malls great food court and nice place to shop.Great theater to highly recommend

This is its place inside the riverwalk. Full of Spanish culture. Shop til you drop. Drink whatever you want. Eat at different venues. And everyone is friendly. Tired.... Take the transit

High quality mall in downtown San Antonio. Have good variety of shops and in unique setting with river tours. However they could do a better job with signs and directions.

Large amount of people, but not surprising as it is the mall downtown. Very nice atmosphere and stores are nice, good place for a stroll as leads right to river walk.
