Bad Karma Six

Stopped in because heard wonderful things about custom work. Preface this with Im 5 feet tall and weigh 104lb. A man, dressed in a suit followed me around entire store. I stopped to ask if I had done something wrong. His reply was "you said you were only interested in looking , not buying and you make me nervous". NERVOUS?? This man was AT LEAST a foot taller than me and outweighed me by a minimum of 50lb but my small, well dressed stature, in name brand clothes, shoes, and purse scared him. There were other customers in the store and my embarassment was palpable. I was doing nothing but enjoying myself by choosing a diamond bracelet for my grandmother. I had just come into quite a sum of money and wanted to get something for my grandmother that she could have never gotten for herself. She worked hard her entire life, raised me, always told me I was special and could do whatever I set my mind to and she deserved the biggest gift I could find for her (along with a big hug as she cried uncontrollably). This store and proprietor lost a massive sale as I spent approx $10,000 eleswhere. As she is such a wonderful Woman who deserves everything life has to offer, I gave her some much needed cash as well, that couldve been spent at that awful mans store! I still dont know what I did that made him so "nervous" (especially as all of his cabinets were locked!). Ive never committed or been accused of a crime in my life and this horrible man made a huge mistake by judging a book by its cover!! Its my sincere hope that others read this post and think twice before spending a single dime in this store! In my opinion, Anyone who happens upon large sums of money , as I did, should spend it on the homeless before they increase the income of MEDLARS JEWELRY STORE. Unless you enjoy being humiliated , degraded, embarrassed and looked down upon....DO NOT SHOP HERE....EVER!!! In fact, should the opportunity arise, flip the switch on him, wait until other customers are in the store and degrade his "custom pieces" and let him know he "makes you nervous" by stalking you around the store!! I DONT THINK I CAN MAKE IT ANYMORE CLEAR.....STAY AWAY!!

My husband is a professional basketball player, and when he dislocated his finger, it set in such a way that it will never be able to bend or have a normal knuckle size again. Obviously we were upset about this, but a side effect was that he could no longer wear his wedding band since it was his ring finger. We went a few months with him wearing his ring on the opposite hand, but there is something sentimental about wearing your wedding band in the traditional way. We had heard Medlars did great custom jewelry work, and my husbands doctor suggested that some arthritic patients have special rings made to fit over larger knuckles. We stopped by on a whim to check it out, and not only did Medlars deliver, but they were able to modify his original ring! They created a sort of latch system that allows him to widen the ring to slip it on, then clasp it shut so it sits normally on his finger. We call it his bionic ring now, and he LOVES showing it off! Medlars was beyond kind to us, and understood the situation perfectly. They even added a few diamonds to the side of my husbands band, something hed been wanting to do for awhile. The price was reasonable, the turn around time was great, the service was AMAZING, and I cant express how wonderful it is to see my husband wearing his beloved wedding band again. THANK YOU MEDLARS!

When I planned to marry I wanted to wear my mothers wedding ring as she gave it to me before she died. However, my husband-to-be wanted to give me an engagement ring. We looked several places and couldnt find anything to match. When we went to Medlars the informed us that they could match my mothers ring. Her ring had five nice size diamonds on it. Medlars copies the ring removing the diamond in the middle and inserting a larger stone. It matched perfectly. We were married June 30, 2012 and I am extremely happy with my husband AND my wedding set. Thanks, Medlars.

There is no other place with the experience Medlars has in making custom jewelry. I jammed my finger and had to have my wedding rings cut off. I took them in to remake my rings into a completely new design. They worked with me on a new design, showed it to me on a computer prior to starting work and then I made changes. Once I got exactly what I wanted, made a stunning new ring. I get compliments on it all of the time, but best of all, its the only one that exists.

I never thought that I would be able to make the ring of my dreams, but Medlars made the experience easy and painless! My grandmother had given me her wedding ring and it really wasnt my style. I wanted to keep her memory alive by using the diamonds in my own ring. I showed Medlars the style I liked and they took it from there. I was able to see the design and make changes along the way. Very helpful! As a 22 year old with a girlfriend, I do not enjoy shopping at jewelry stores. But, With my girl friends birthday just days away I decided to try and find a gift at Medlars. Glad I did! Upon entering the store I was professionally greeted by Chapman. He helped me pick out a great gift for my girlfriend and gave me some great insight in buying jewelry. Thank you! Came in and waited to be helped. Another woman walked in about 5 minutes later and was helped immediately upon entering. I had just come from work so i wasnt dressed nicely. Several of the employees and a few customers stared at me and made me feel out of place. Purchased some 90% silver coins and later found one 1965 quarter mixed in. Upsetting.

Chapman Stout and his staff were professional, informative and delivered everything in a timely manner. I feel comfortable saying they are one of, if not the best place to purchase precious metals in the area, bar none.

The designer created my wifes wedding ring off a drawing I made and it turned out incredible! We loves the ring and Chapman makes you feel like family! The best jeweler in town....check out their coins too!

Brought in some silver coinage. They said they offer 70% of melt value. When I brought it in the offered me 50%. Not honest.
