In 2013 my wife and I went into Luna Car Center to look at a Chevy Tahoe they had advertised online. Once we got there, ran numbers and down payments... we were advised that we would not be approved for that vehicle. Instead showing us a "starter" vehicle to help build our credit. A 2004 Acura MDX (with a cracked windshield, torn front leather seats and a basketball size dent on the rear right quarter panel) was the vehicle they advised, was a great car. We put down $2k, and was advised that if we kept up with the payments for 8-12 months, then we could trade it in for the next tier vehicle. So we did, 7 months later we come by to try and trade it in, however they advised that we owed to much because our interest rate was too high. Fast forward to 3 days ago.(27 months after we purchased the vehicle..no late payments at all) We go into Luna Car Center with the promise that we could trade it in. We get there, test drive the vehicle of interest. Run credit and they appraise our current trade in. They advise that we are still upside down with negative equity but cannot help because I will need a cosigner. No problem, I was reassured that if I had a cosigner with a 680+ credit score, I would be able to trade in my vehicle, and my payments would be at $400/month. As a returning loyal customer, I decided to get a cosigner, my father, who has a 730 credit score. I get a text message from the sales man Daniel Laque who advises me that no deal can be done because of my trade in. This is not what was advised in the beginning. If that was the case, I would have never wasted my time to begin with. LUNA CAR CENTER dont care about helping those who help them. Even with great credit and as a returning customer... still would not budge. No problem. Ill be taking my business elsewhere, and will NEVER recommend LUNA CAR center to anyone else every again. LIARS. IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD. WASTE OF TIME.

I financed a Chevy Van from Luna Car Center with an initial down payment of $1000.00 and 2 pickup payments of $500.00. We made the first pickup payment of $500.00. Shortly after this we received a letter in the mail from a company called Car Financial who stated that our loan was sold to them by Luna Car Center and we no longer make any payments to Luna. First I called Car Financial and asked who we make our payments to and when the next payment was due. They stated that we no longer pay Luna and our payment was $350.00 to be payed on the first of the following month. I tried calling Luna numerous times that same day with no answer. Originally the following $500.00 pickup payment was to be due on the 8th of April 2011. Kathrine from Luna Car Center Called me when the payment was already 13 days past due and said we had to pay them or bring the vehicle back to them. I told them that we would not be able to make the payment until the 30th. Now we have spent $1500.00 on a vehicle that is not with us. We were not informed by Luna that if the loan was transferred to Car Financial we would still be paying them for the last pickup payment. Kathrine who is the finance supervisor was very rude over the phone, decided to call me 13 days after the payment was due and tell me to either pay or return the van. If this was not done, than we would incur an additional repo fee of $350.00. We returned the car immediately. Now we are out of a vehicle. I have spoken with Kathrine numerous times since we returned the vehicle stating that we will have the cash on the 30th of April. She said that they will hang on to the vehicle until then. This vehicle is being used for work purposes. I am not able to do my job without it. If she would have called us when the payment was 1 or 2 days past due, we would not be in this situation.

We purchased a car from Luna car center in december 2012. We just moved here from Europe, so didnt have any credit score built up and werent able to get a loan from the bank. We ended up financing it directly through them, at a mind-blowing 25% interest rate. Lets be honest though, you need a car in Texas, so we ended up signing. Before we did though, I specifically asked them whether we would have to pay the entire interest amount (as if we would have payed off our car over the said three years), or whether it would just be the amount of the car left. They assured us we would only have to pay the car part of the amount left on the loan. However, Luna Car Center decided to sell our loan to Midatlantic finance. One year later, Im trying to refinance our car through our bank, which would result in a much lower interest rate. However, Midatlantic Finance now says that we have to pay off the entire amount, as if we would pay interest for the next two years as well. No matter what we do, we have to pay the full 25% interest on our car. I called Luna Car Center about it, their answer is: well, thats just business. They could have told us they would sell our loan causing us to have to pay this ridiculous amount of interest. I would never have signed anything if I even remotely knew that that was an option! Please, do not finance your car through them, they are liars and will tell you anything to get you money!

So far, its a good experience , however Luna Car Center is working on making it an awesome one. So, this past Saturday I bought a Sequoia, a big investment for me and a commitment for about 5 yrs. NOT CHEAP. So I trusted this car center and the sales team to make the final purchase. After driving the SUV over the weekend I notice several issues, nonetheless to say I was sick worry over the weekend thinking that they would send me away with my SUV issues and with all the things that they need it to get fix . And Im talking big ones. So this Monday morning I marched right into the office and spoke with the GM. He didnt even let me finish as he took me by my shoulder and said "dont worry a bit, I will take care of you and ALL the problems you are having with the SUV...I was like OMG!!! like no hassle no questions no problem!!!!! Like I had bought a car before from a used car lot and it was a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE...so I was thinking the same thing about this place...But I WAS WRONG! They are already WORKING on my SUV (they also give me a ride to work) and Im just waiting to hear back from tem! I will keep you posted.......I give them 3 stars because Im waiting to get my SUV back like it should!!! After that I would give them more than 5 stars!!

Lets find out if Luna is a quality dealership or not. Im willing to give them the benefit of doubt but so far Im not getting a positive feeling about this outcome. My son purchased a 2006 H2 Hummer. Patrick was our sales guy and handled things very professionally and courteously. At the time of purchase, the vehicle had some mechanical issues that we were assured would be taken care of/be repaired as a condition of purchase and some work was done on the vehicle. UNFORTUNATELY, the issue continues/persists and Luna seems to think that it is not their issue/problem any longer. I dont know exactly what work was done on this Hummer in total at the time of/condition of purchase but fixing/replacing the knock sensors could not have been performed because it is reasonable to expect that the same sensors should NOT go out again in less than 1K miles and less than 2 months. Luna has now had my sons Hummer in their shop for more than a week with no results because they say that we will have to pay for repairs. This has nothing to do with a warranty, it has to do with an issue that was identified at the time of purchase, Luna gave us their word to make an honest and fair transaction and repair the vehicle. Come on Luna!
